Being furloughed, and the lockdown stopping play thought I'd tick off something I've wanted to do for ages. Painted the MK18, and even the MK46! I'm now the proud owner of two very salty looking RIF's wanting to create a worn 'in country look' Painting a RIF is of course very subjective, but I hope you all like. This was the first time I've ever sprayed one of my collection, and it was a lot of fun!

I find this an excellent thread for a noob like myself - I wouldn’t buy without consulting someone more knowledgeable than myself anyhow but I like the fact that it calls out the optimistic sellers. Forum police of sorts - quite humorous also.

Got a care package in the mail from Poland today so I am finally able to "finish" my Strike Industries build . Was only missing the takedown pins, buffer tube and adjustable scope mount, really happy with how the build turned out!

Nope youve got it. I visited a Military museum near Dover that had a SA80 on the wall donated from their local guard or something - it also had a GripPod but it was on backwards. Now I have a running gag about Brits putting them on backwards...

inner barrel is 215mm long I also found a youtube video from DE and it looks like there will be a tan version released as well. Also of interest is DE state that if you put a better motor inside the binary firing will be even faster.

XT60's are arguably better connectors, Deans are fine IF you get proper ones not the cheap copies. XT60's are easier to solder and cheaper to buy though.

Glad you went Prommy, for I while there I thought you were going to go Crazy. Some like them but in testing I did not. Before you get super excited and throw all your packaging away; roll the barrel on a flat surface and check it's true/straight. Also inspect the crown/barrel exit for any little burrs. 95% of the time Prommy are bang on but sometimes there's the odd lemon

Put a dab of low strength Loctite on it before installing and wait 24hrs before adjusting. Should stop it rattling lose in future.

Well after 6 months of digging through my basement I finally found that pesky valve for my Tag-015 that went flying across the room when I disassembled it to repair a leak. As such I was finally able to move forward on my SSG PP-19-01 and get it finished. I have two optics to decide on - a Kobra and a PK-06, both real from Russia. One will go on my real KR-9 (civi version of the Vityaz, which is what the PP-19-01 is based on), while the other will go on the 19. Unfortunately both are at work in my KR-9's box, so itll be fall before I get ahold of either one again as work has been cancelled through till the end of August... Also my SR-25, just because Ive never posted it here.

Issues of a GBBR!?!! There is no difference in accuracy between the two, in actual fact the inner barrel is 250mm 10" on both variants. Pick whichever floats your boat. Food for thought later down the line; a 10" and a suppressor makes for a quiet gun. All you need is; Nuprol gas or propane and an adapter. Some decent BBs, Devil blaster or Geoff's if your flush lol in 0.28g A genuine TM speed loader, 2-3 mags is fine. They are the best gun OOTB period.
