Something about my WW2 load out just doesn’t feel right...

See, I know I'm getting a Warrior Assault Systems SAPI carrier in the near future... So I picked these up. Heavyweight rubber training plates from the guys at Trident Gear. I really love the feel and weight of these, as it feels like I'm holding real ballistic plates (they are not real ballistic plates and are made of rubber!); they weigh 2.1kg each, which is between the weight of real level III and IV ballistic plates. I wanted real ballistic plates for muh immersion, but when I saw they were literally £150 - 200 PER PLATE I decided to get these instead. £45 for the set and I still get muh immersion. Also fitness. If I'm running around with my AEG, I use airsoft as a workout. Time to up my game!

Took apart and cleaned the trigger box last night for the first time thanks to the eagle six videos. A bit nerve wracking but I got through it ok. I'd advise having a half dozen containers or a parts organiser for anyone trying it for the first time as it's easy to get springs mixed up and the trigger itself has two similar but different coil springs in it. Hardest part by far was removal of the box from the lower which took all manner of gentle levering and tapping with a drift and rubber mallet. All parts were soaked in rubbing alcohol, scrubbed with an old toothbrush, dried, lubed with wurth advanced dry chain lube and assembled. I cannot believe how well built these weapons actually are though, the thickness off the lower walls must be 3-4mm and I'd have no fear stripping and doing it all again now. So well pleased with myself, that's the entire gun stripped to component parts, by me of all people!

i kind of view it as standard just because it's a drop-in replacement for a standard (no fancy nubs required like the ml stuff). but at this point we're haggling on terminology. they're pretty decent, certainly i'd prefer them over the prommy for the up to .32 ish range although if your trying to lift heavier it'll struggle. basically i put them in guns that don't like ml stuff. yeah, it's a case of folk recommending things they think they can trust. but often there can be a lot of parroting going on. personally i try to only suggest things i've used myself and found to be good, if i'm suggesting something based on reputation alone i try to mention it. aoe is the oddball though, it does have its place and there are valid reasons to check it but often folks set way more store in it than is really necessary and you get folk over-correcting or applying corrections to guns that don't need it because "you always have to correct the aoe"

Does this mean I can charge a premium when selling my guns as most of them are completely stock?

I ordered one on Monday from Taiwan gun. Ups is saying it will be here on Friday. Looks like a fun little gun.
