Still on the plastic buffer after two years with no problems. With regards to upgrades if I could go back and tell my younger self I'd upgrade the hop nub (six g) the lightweight bolt catch and green gas mod the mags and save the money for externals as I've tried most 'upgrades' and found for me anyway that there a disappointment and had to spend money reverting to original parts and I now hit a crouching man size target at 60m at under 350fps. listen for the ting of the hits - 2x sprayed joined metal plasterer's hawks targets 325x650mm in size shooting 0.30g Geoff's super natural bio bb's on a windless day. Quick mock up picture of a build I am doing with a mate Gas L119A2 short. It'll have a bunch of real steel parts by the time it's done, stock, buffer tube, pistol grip, fore grip and mag catch will all be genuine parts. (stock etc will be the correct FDE ) It's being built as a tribute to my mate's 15 year old son who tragically died suddenly during lockdown. Tom was a great kid who was mad about airsoft, but who also had everything mapped out. He was planning to join up and was determined ultimatly to go for selection, given how determined he was he would probably have made it too. So we felt that an L119 A2 was an apropriate build . I'll update the pics as parts arrive !

Rounding things off for my current armoury, this weeks video was my beloed Silverback SRS. I currently have some woodland footage (not a lot of action) and am due to hit up a CQB in 3 days so hoping for a lot of action to switch up the content a bit for you all. Totally with you on this , your a one man band ? good for you trying to run your own business BUT if your having problems it shouldn’t affect me the customer , you’ve taken my money so you have an obligation to get what ever to me in a reasonable time , if your ‘snowed under’ with orders you either post it on your business home page to warn potential customers because if you don’t either by accident or on purpose then that’s on you so not the customers problem . End off . In the end I got the flash hider from Aliexpress (with correct markings and all) for £13.48 with free P&P.

It's not quite marui they never released a 1928 version only a M1A1 Thompson. So if it is marui it has an after market receiver and barrel on it. Maybe £200 + depending who made the receiver.

Don't trigger my PTSD. I ordered a TM NGRS AK Storm off this guy (he's a 1 man band). Bought it from him because he was the only one in the UK to have it in physical stock. Purchased 6th of May at 2am. YET to be dispatched. No correspondence from him. Only updates I have had were from me chasing via text and call. Was told on Tuesday the 1tth I would have it this week as a reply to my chase. He now ignores my calls. I called multiple times on Friday and Saturday, ignored. I sent a text. Within a minute of a text he sent me an email saying he's been snowed under and it will be dispatched this coming Monday (tomorrow). Look at recent reviews for this chap and they are pretty awful. I understand being a one man band is hard but it takes 2 seconds to send a message "sorry pal bit busier then normal, will post it ASAP" or something along those lines. Whats even worse is that the EXACT AK I wanted (the one I ordered) came up on prefired the day before with 6 mags £400. I messaged the guy instantly. I didn't get a reply for 24 hours so I assumed it was sold and bought from redtech. Only to get a message from the guy on prefired saying yeah I can have it. So I kinda paniced and asked to cancel my order with redtech, but then called him and said don't cancel it I don't want to be a dick/I want to support a small business (you know trying to be decent). Looking at his facebook he is active and getting loads of interesting stock in but it just seems he is awful at customer service. Here's hoping it gets posted tomorrow. You'd think for nearly £500 you'd have some sort of update on the order without me having to chase constantly.

I agree the MK18 is a great rail. I rock one too. But sadly Marui’s take on it has been well how can I put it nicely... bonkers. You need a tool to take off the barrel nut and you just can’t get to it like you can with a conventional MK18. As I said there’s a special tool available now. Check out my post on p188.

Just got these through the post today. Ordered a couple of custom patches from stitchmeup.biz of my logo (after a recommendation from @TheFull9 ) Very good quality, very reasonable pricing and, considering the custom nature of the patches, a quick turnaround time. Cant wait to rock them on my gear at the next game day

Got a Reptilia RMR mount for the bendy boi but not really liking it. Will prob end up with one of them Arisaka 45" T1/T2 mounts. Really loving the performance since swapping to Co2 although the guy down at the pub supply thinks I am doing something nefarious with all the Co2 am buying

Some EPMs for the NGRS to fill a void until I can stumble onto some pmags, opened them up as soon as they arrived and did some weathering/shading on the ‘bullet’ inserts because they look awful without it. Managed to find some Gen M2 ranger plates in stock so grabbed those immediately, make EPMs look so much nicer IMO. And to wrap up, a Ferro 45 degree QD mount... just an aesthetic upgrade over the Magpul one I’ve used on and off.

Well, an update! After deciding to bombard UPS on Facebook everyday, I've got nowhere....? But it's made me feel better!! Having not had a message back from Sammy after 13 hours I pestered them again and "Melanie" told me to contact TG for an update, I asked if they had actually sent TG an update or are you just wasting my time? Low and behold, I checked my emails and TG had said that after 2 months they would start the refund process. Apparently a "specialist team" will contact me from UPS to refund my fee's, or atleast discuss the options. All in all a quite sour experience! But oh well, you live and learn. I'll update again once I have some pennies back!

Picked up a M140 spring from Pete @ak2m4for a DMR build. On the phone, he was telling me about some new springs he’s got on the way as he was finding a lot of the Chinese-made, steel springs to be garbage-level quality. I thought it was interesting, having never had an issue with springs, and proceeded to have a tinker with one of my high speed builds. After a few games, it started to sound a bit strained and the range had dropped off a cliff. Lo and behold, Chinesium spring had snapped! Very lucky I had that M140 kicking around to replace it with (8 tooth DSG, M140=+-300fps)

This arrived today along side a donor Cm16. I'm definitely fully hpa converted, bye bye AEGs.
