My PTW shoots like a bloody laser...It's a 2008 model with full Tac mods and I have 10 genuine EMAGS which Tac replaced the innards with original Systema ones. I cannot fault the platform. It just works each and every time. Ok the followers in the mags are annoying (and can get lost sometimes) but they are needed to operate the bolt stop.... but hey that was cutting edge back in the day. What do I like about it, it's reliable...! There you go I've said it! And best of all I can change the power from 330 to 450fps within a matter of minutes. It's only ever let me down once and that's when the motor packed in and I sent it to Tac to get rewound. Anyway, back to the topic of MWS. This weekend I zero'd the T1 to about 50m. I figured that was the best compromise distance. I was using 0.28's and Abbey Ultra Predator gas. The temperature was about 23c and goodness me the power I was getting from the BCG felt like a missile. The recoil was phenomenal and the range equally impressive. I didn't have a chrono with me so I wasn't sure if it was shooting hot or not but that's besides the point. The MWS can take some serious welly. And you know what? It's fun to use. You get that better immersion that's for sure.

@Druid799, make you right mate, that's a disgusting attitude, gotta question the h&s aspect when they ran live fire clays at the same time as an Airsoft event, definitely dodgy as fuck. As for his not giving a shit attitude, he's lucky someone didn't put him on his arse. Everybody lost money over the last 18 months, doesn't mean you abandon all integrity just to squeeze a few more quid out of a day, prick deserves to go under, then someone else can step up & run it properly. Is this the same site that stitched up your friend, the former head marshal ? Next thing, destroy the mofo on every forum & FB page, as well as the review sites such as trustpilot etc ?

Sad to hear you’re not getting on with the MWS experience. As an ex PTW fanboy myself, I’m finding the overall reliability of the MWS platform very refreshing. I enjoy maintaining and tinkering with the gun, and it’s never let me down in a game, which I found was a major issue with my PTW’s, which I ran for about 10 years. I got sick of having to send them off to mysterious gurus for months at a time, to have various weak design flaws rectified at hundreds of pounds of cost. Worn sector gears, faulty motors, chopped bb’s, misfeeding magazines, catastrophic failure in very wet conditions, and a general lack of feedback from firing the PTW are all things that are thankfully long behind me know. They just got in the way of me enjoying skirmishes in the end. With a light bit of fettling, and good maintenance I’m glad to say neither my MWS or MP7 have ever failed to fire, and shoot accurately absolutely miles. Yes the mags are real capacity and realistically heavy, but I’ve completely got used to that, and I’m getting as many kills as I usually got, just with much more satisfaction of having bettered my hi-cap hose, sewing machine wielding opponents.

To be fair, TaiwanGun and GunFire gear might take on collector status soon.

Hence my point about opening more being preferable to double booking which i agree is a shitty way to go about solving the problem. Thats the problem with autism- at the "lesser" end of the scale folk can, especially as they age and gain experience, become very adept at appearing normal, right up until the point they're not. indeed for the older generations it's very common for folk to be undiagnosed (and by extension unaware themselves why they act certain ways). Possibly, although as mentioned it can be incredibly hard to tell in person let alone secondhand. Saying things either verbally or with body language that are just the wrong fit for the situation is a common symptom (leading to more frustration because now people are pissed off). Again as with above this could be interpreted either way. Given you were a regular there and had a much clearer view of how he was acting you could well be right, as mentioned it could be interpreted either way when reviewed second-hand in writing. Tbh the reason i brought it up was more just to plant the seed that there could be an alternate explanation, having read it and realised some of the similarities. For sure, i mean they could at least have been up front about it- let folks know what was going to happen so they could decide if they still wanted to make the trek or not.

Do see your points but to openly say they couldn’t give a toss about customer satisfaction just as long as there recouping lost money ? As to could he be on any spectrum he runs a business that has four sites two of which are open Severn days a wk running multiple events at a time , when he was first actually informed we wanted to speak to him with no real details about what being given to the marshal and the fact he looked at us shrugged his shoulders and walked off in a different direction and finally the fact his wife said ‘he doesn’t like being questioned about his business practices” so I think I’m more than right in saying he’s an arrogant prick nothing more nothing less ? No that was a different site and yes I fully intend to put up truthful revues on there customer service attitude .

@Druid799 That’s a proper shitter matey, this is one reason I pay with either PayPal or my Credit Card - there is always a way to turn about bad service but bad manners need punishment wether it’s financial in form of a card chargeback or to the council where you can cite lack of safety of minors

I fully understand why the site owner pulled that stunt, but I don't agree with him and genuinely think it was a shit move to piss off a bunch of locals. After all locals are the major source of income for sites so they should be treated almost like kings. If we were to become greedy fucks, I think I'd quit playing Airsoft for good (I manage the finances of my club btw).

'twas an odd day. It's definitely becoming way too hot to play. Wearing synthetic shit didn't help either. The new chest rig worked really well, I like how light it is even when loaded. We are now at 36 members with an active count of 15+ each Sunday, most are new kids, teamwork is growing but we are still not ready for tournaments, only a handful of people (including me) have experience with those. Which sucks dicks because we have one tournament scheduled on the 11th of July. So back to yesterday, there is this guy who always shows up late, thinks he has the right to do whatever the fuck he wants just because he paid, which is definitely not the case here, so after him being annoying all day I took him to the side and gave him one last chance at behaving before handing back his money and kick him out of the club. I mean, we meet at 8 AM on the field for a reason, especially during the warmer months, it gets unplayable after 10:30 AM so we try to play as much as possible before, you can't show up at 9 and then complain that we don't wait for you, or that we go home by 11:30.. There's plenty of other clubs that have a different view on Airsoft, go join those instead.

Went out with my serviced and cleaned AK, only to fall over a tree root 10 mins into the game. I was a pretty good gymnast in the mists of time, so controlling a fall is fairly easy, but... I managed to snag my free foot on something else too as I fell. THUD. Busted the rear sight, split the top housing in front of the (now displaced) dust cover, and the battery compartment bottom cracked. I hit the floor hard enough to dislodge a contact lens. I honestly thought that I'd broken my big (arthritic) toe, but it moved after a few minutes of laying still and therapeutically swearing. Rifle still fed OK and shot straight so on we went. Played OK too. First game damage I've inflicted on a CYMA. I doubt an all steel build would have been damaged, but I doubt I'd find one for less than £70 on TG. I'll have to get the gaffer tape and cable ties out I expect. If it's serious the Jubilee clips come out too, possibly the superglue. Bloody good day out mind!

So I picked both these up from these forums and because I got them at a decent price it left some cash over to do a bit more upgrading. The NGRS M4 came with a prommy inner barrel and purple hop rubber. I was going to S hop it but i'll run the prommy stuff for a game or 2 before doing that. I fitted a titan and new pistol grip as the A2 style grip really gets on my goat. The M4 also came with the Knights rail in the box (it was a socom so comes with the plastic handguards). There is a small air leak between the cylinder head and nozzle and a new nozzle still has a slight air leak so I've ordered a new cylinder head and a O ringed nozzle to get rid of that problem (not really a problem as it's only a FPS variation of about 10 at the worst but enough to annoy me). The NGRS G36K I added the Jefftron V3 (first time trying one of these and seems to be a straight forward swap). I'll probably S hop this as well but right now it came with a Prommy flat hop rubber and flat nub and seems to shoot fine so I'll do the S hop at the same time as the M4. I actually prefer the Jefftron app over the Gate Titan App but that might just be because I connect the Titans via USB whereas the Jefftron is all bluetooth.

The plot thickens, I tend to go through somewhere between 800-1000 rounds on a game day (depending on the wheres and whys of the site) and I found the 35 round mags hard to adjust to... so suffice to say if you're regularly slinging 4 times that on your average day I dread to think how 'inconvenient' the platforms limitations would appear. FWIW I ended up selling my first MWS, immediately regretted it and recently picked up another (largely because I wasn't in a rush because playing wasn't on the cards, I'd have likely got another sooner had it been). The second time around I know it's more going to be my 'fun gnu', at least to start with. I still land on AEGs/RIFs that are powered by electricity (truthfully I've never understood why it's insisted that PTWs are referenced to separately, they're AEGs in my eyes... but that's for another time/place) are the best RIFs for skirmishing with on an overall balance of pros/cons... and yes that's including a few years using HPA, just not worth the faff for me in the end. But having now given GBBRs a fair shake I imagine I'll always have at least one in my collection, and the MWS seems as good as any for my needs as and when the time comes that I want to use it.

After taking a day to cool down I can safely say Sunday was the worst airsofting experience I have ever had in over 20yrs of playing . arrived on site as per usual start getting ready to rock , get out nice and early have the usual warm up game goes well . Second game of the day playing far end of the site so I drop down the bottom and start flanking the blues to be told “no can’t go there that fields out of bounds” I think fair enough trying to keep it tight so more intense ? No reason was the NEXT field over from that one had a group of under 10’s having a paintball party ! Next game we turn that game around to THEN be told one of the top fields that has a crashed wooden blackhawk in it was now out of bounds instead for the same reason ! next game the first field is out of bounds again because there were adults paintballing in that field and a party of about 20 chavs that had booked a 2hr session of airsofting where dropped right in the middle of us lot so the whole thing totally went to ratshit because they where running around shooting everyone immaterial of which team they where on , not taking there hits and generally having a wonderful time ! Spoke to a marshal and his reply ? “There only here for 2hrs so boss said let them do what ever they want “ ! next game yet another field was closed due to kids having a paintball party , oh and at one point one of the only two marshals watching all these kids brings them in to the safezone where all us airsofters where (which totally contradicts child safeguarding) to clean there masks and while all these crotch goblins are milling around I even catch one trying to pick up my full stock full metal ways a ton AK74 ! Next game no problems sites ours again great . After this it’s lunch time , during lunch we notice a LOT of adults and children turning up and we find out we’re going to loose about 35% of the site to other activities so a group of the regulars are sat out side discussing what’s happening we all decide united front and speak to management was told someone would be over , no one turned up . Found the owners wife she said she was so busy but she ‘would try’ to speak to us , AND of course she didn’t ! Saw Her husband (other owner)tried speaking to him but he ignored me , told A senior marshal we wanted to speak to him urgently , I saw him tell him but all the owner did was shrug his shoulders and walk off in the opasite direction ! We all went inside to find him and we did , he was flitting around ‘doing stuff’ and blatantly ignoring us ! He finally went in to the office bit and starts going through the wavers from the morning we ask him “are you going to speak to us ?” He carries on going through the papers . Someone said “are you going to speak to us or just ignore us ?” and that’s just what he did he ignored us ! Someone then says “so your just going to ignore paying customers are you ?” At this point he just turns around and walked off without even acknowledging us ! He actually walked off ignoring us ! Un fucking believable . so by now all to a man we where absolutely bouncing so we decided again united front all leave and tell them why as we are leaving . We all pack up and as we’re leaving we spot the wife again so put our grievances to her telling her politely how disgusting it is there running other events on the same day the bi-monthly airsoft gameday is run and closing off sections of the site for these other activities but still charging us full price , she gives a half arsed apology I said “so what your saying is making money is more important than customer satisfaction ?” Her reply ? “Yes the money is more important because we lost so much last year and if we don’t make enough money now we’d have to close the site !” Oh and when asked about her husband ignoring paying customers politely asking him to answer our grievances her reply ? “Oh he doesn’t like being questioned on his business decisions and he will go quiet and not answer you !” As we are walking to our cars we spot him in one of the biggest fields leading a group of teens on quad bikes around it ! and cherry on top of this whole fiasco I later found out last game day they where running the air rifle range AND clay pigeon shooting at the same time as airsofting on site ! So all I can really say on it now is I and at least 10 other players will never be going back to BLACK OPS CRIBBS BRISTOL . And it’s been my ‘home site’ (I call it my home site even though I live in Swansea and drive 1.5hrs to get there) for over 7yrs as a result of the horrendous customer service given to us .
