  4. Am I the only one who's not seeing what the problem is? If you want to get an airsoft pistol for target shooting you can, just buy a two-tone. Nobody needs any defence for anything and away you go. If you just want to rapid target shoot then the colour of the thing really shouldn't matter.

Like I said, there is a use case here where it is too cold for any kind of propane based gas and you really want to use your MWS, HPA is the only option ? It’ll be clunky to operate but you’ll get an awesome and consistent fps even in the coldest environments.

    Sixmm.Com Review

I recently received an order of parts from sixmm, checked that the bits I wanted were in stock via whatsapp beforehand. Everything was sent with free post by air mail and the order was split into two packages, both breezed through customs and arrived nicely one day after the other. No complaints from me thus far.

Was doing some general maintenance to my pistols and came to realise I have more pistols than long guns... And I want more! I still need a handful of parts to upgrade the STTI mk23 (bottom left) and the Bell 1911 (2nd from right) which I'll get first, but there's at least a TM HK45 Tactical, Bell m9 and Bell MEU on the list of pistols I want to add to the collection.

You’re more than welcome to justify your choice as much as you wish, I just wanted to highlight that you’re making a claim that HPA is going to improve something that it isn’t. I’d strongly recommend you do some proper research and weigh up the positives and negatives. I’m not intending to entirely come across as a prick here (while fully aware I am), but given you’re statement in your previous post it leaps out to me that you perhaps don’t know exactly what running a RIF on HPA entails. I dare say you’re far more worried about the cold weather than you should be, but it seems you’ve got your mind set on it so I won’t waste any further breath. My final piece of advice being, once you’ve tarnished those poor mags with HPA taps I’d probably avoid putting photos of them in here. Lest you be bombarded with ‘Careful Nows’ and burn the witch gifs… and that’s assuming the folks decide to keep it civil ?. As always, you do you, but it’s probably for the best that you know what to expect.

Aye, it'll be so much easier replacing gas refills with... Carrying a heavy tank on your back Having to disconnect and reconnect a line everytime you reload (or having a drum mag made up, which will just be a significant weight increase) Reducing have easy the RIF is to manipulate because you're tethered to it Having to get your tank filled up Doing maintenance on your HPA equipment to keep it airtight and safe Doing additional maintenance on everything because the air is so dry Yup, a real time saver and increase in convenience ?. The beneft of HPA is consistency and that's about it, outside of that you're making your life harder versus running it as a regular GBBR.

  18. sadly that stereotype does exist for a reason, ironically the best game i ever played was with a big team of guys who rocked up all with hpa kit, even as an hpa user myself i saw those airlines and thought "ohhhh shit.....", needless to say i was happy to have my predictions overturned. to answer the main question i recently realized how handy an ak fire selector that doesn't need to be reset to safe before switching from semi to auto is.

  19. Sadly the point of the VCRA is to only allow realistic coloured guns to be sold to people who legitimately need their guns to look realistic. For target shooting the colour is purely aesthetic. UKARA isn't the only defence, re-enactors get a defence as well but that requires membership of a re-enactment group and not every retailer will be familiar enough with this. A lot of WW2 airsofters use AFRA membership rather than UKARA, as we rarely go to the same site 3 times in a year and our games also qualify as re-enactment.

  20. Your definition of 'helpful' seems to be 'a way I can change the law,' well I'm sorry, you can't, so nothing you hear from anyone will be 'helpful' to you in that case. The simple fact is that if you want a 6mm BB gun in the colour of 'blued steel' you will need to be able to provide the seller with a defence. For most sellers this will be by giving them UKARA details, and whilst others will accept (and be well within the law by doing so) other forms of evidence that you are intending to use the gun at a proper airsoft site, none of them should be willing to accept the angle of 'I really want to shoot at paper targets but it just won't be the same unless the gun looks proper real.' Here's the helpful bit; your options are: - buy two tone; after all, you're only shooting at targets - play some airsoft and therefore be able to provide a seller with a defence - attempt to get a seller to put themselves in a potentially very serious legal position by selling to you despite the facts that you cannot provide them with any defence - buy something in .177/4.5mm, since they perform in basically the same way as other guns (and certainly allow you to rapidly shoot targets) and look the same as 'real guns' (including blued steel variants) but you need only be over 18 to get one Hope that helps.

  21. Frankly I wouldn't care if they were all two tone. When I play airsoft I do so because it's a game, not because I want to look all speshul forces. It seems to me that your initial post - 'I just want to do some target shooting' - needed to also include: 'but the fact that the thing can shoot targets is only partially the point, I also want a pretend gun that looks real.' The funny thing is that loads of proper target shooters, like IPSC people, go out of their way to make their pistols look less like 'proper guns' (as Rock-Climby-Dave has shown)
