  2. Yup, I'm the Guinea Pig for this. One of the RIFS I was after went out of stock so I'm just finalizing the order with their Customer Services this evening.

  3. Figured I'd share a few shots of my latest pickup, really happy with how it looks/feels. Now all I need is to get the folding stock and hook, then I'm sorted!

  4. Hello airsofters, I am making this post because I have recently had a very bad experience with an airsoft website called "Tactical Gear Trade." They advertise themselves as a UK website but are actually based in China and all of their products are shipped from China. I bought an L85 SA80 SUSAT scope from their website which took a very long time to deliver (much longer than estimated time) and when it eventually arrived and I tested it out, the scope had been wrongly manufactured and its inner sight (crosshair) was massively misaligned and could not be adjusted to make it in line with the gun. I then contacted the company to tell them of this issue and request that I could return it (to china) and receive a refund and they have not accepted the fact the scope is broken and keep telling me that it can be fixed and all I need to do is adjust it (which does not fix the issue at all) and despite sending them several emails to emphasise that the scope is completely faulty and can't be fixed, they keep replying to me saying that I just need to adjust it. So it looks like I'm going to have to sue the company in the small claims court as they will not give me a refund and will not even acknowledge the fact they they have sold me a broken product. Basically what I want to make clear is that they are a very badly run company and are selling faulty products and refusing to refund customers for them. Don't buy anything from their website as it will just be money lost and wasted time.

  5. The TM looks great ? Once you have the stock it will be complete ? I got a CYMA M870 folding stock and grafted it onto an ASG SPAS It worked out quite well and luckily I'm not worried about accuracy to the real one ?

  6. I’ve got a TM recoil Socom that’s 13yrs old and a recoil AK74su that’s 11yr old both running fine and both never been opened up and only ‘upgrade’ to either was changing the batt connector to a deans . so for me that tells me all I need to know about the brand .

I know the action man you were in about. It was they're take on the pvs 4 night vision scope. Also used to fire something out of the 203 if my memory serves me correct. And I won't be doing that with these. As based of reference pics

    Glass BBs?!

I messaged the seller, asking "please don't sell this to people who might use it at an airsoft game"... New message from: airsoft987 (7,004) ok. This item was ended. Phew!

  10. Your our hero!! Despite having to harass UPS for 3 months last time I ordered from TG, I also feel tempted to give it another go. Mainly because the last order wasn't for me so it doesn't feel like it directly pissed me off. Although, it did really piss me off ?

I made a lovely curry last night. Put ginger and everything in it. The kids didn't like it at all. I suppose they were quite fond of the cat though ? Regards

  13. eBay UK for cheap surplus MTP and DPM Flecktarn.co.uk for budget-to-mid range stuff that hits a nice value point Hueys.co.uk Tactical-kit.co.uk for more gucci stuff UKtactical.com is a steady bet British Tactical is great but takes a smidge more knowledge to understand and C2R fast are about to launch their site if you're feeling rich and want what the SAS use these days. The majority of the rest of the tactical gear available in the UK is clones imported from China and some is good for airsoft and some is hot garbage, you roll the dice.

  14. Personally I don't think their AEGs are all that. Previously, 5-10 years ago yes, absolutely, when other manufacturers struggled with QC etc. But not now, and especially given their rather singular focus on the Japanese market which usually necessitates upgrades to attain UK FPS levels. You are buying for the name and reputation. Now, where they are absolutely the best is in their range of pistols and GBBR, which are pretty much universally excellent.

  15. "Do I need a proper ghillie to be a sneaky sniper? Do I need to shell out for a full leaf suit and spend hours, days, weeks, months, years crafting it to perfection?" No. No you do not. One of the marshalls finally found me and snapped a pic of me being one with the bush. This is my lightweight, summer loadout that I've been using because my current ghillie isn't great in woodland as it's really a grassland ghillie and gets caught on literally everything (Worthing Airsoft has basically no grass). Rifle wrap is Sprinter Custom Ghillie and the hood is a Stich Profi Russian leaf hood. Haven't crafted anything onto either of them (the SCG stuff doesn't need crafting anyway...), just picked a good spot that didn't silhouette me and kept still

  16. Finally remembered to take a pic while out. I'm definitely in the "premium" stage of my kit ? Though the ghillie is crafted, I'm using a Viper concealment vest base, some jack pyke stealth camo hide net, and some raffia and fake plants. I've had people walk right past me when I'm low to the ground. Using some jack pyke digicam soft shell clothing, which is decently warm and waterproof, and seems to be a good camo pattern though possibly approaching a bit dark for this time of year. Also a digicam balaclava that's been cut up and attached to my mesh mask. A simple kombat chest rig with their molle yoke for holding my knife and comms, and a hydro pack on the back. It's a nice lightweight kit with a surprising amount of space for things. Also a drop leg dump pouch, no idea what brand, I just bought it of some guy. Not pictured is the tactical bum bag, very handy I must say. Gun is a nuprol ak21, all the compression and hop parts have been changed, and it's getting new gears, motor, and mosfet soon. Pretty nice so far, it throws 0.36s out to a bit past 60m at 1j. Also a hawke 3-9x scope, really nice for woodland I find. I can track shots through narrow gaps in bushes easily, and the little rmr on top means I can be reasonably quick at close range. It's covered in jack pyke tough tape.

  18. Other than their old armalites (plastic body cause barrel wobble) TM are a safe bet in terms of they will work out the box with out modification and their lemon rate is significantly lower than Chinese/Tiawanise made guns. They are however exspensive compared to other brands but that's down to country of origin and QC. There are now many manufacturers that do more for less but if you search these forums you'll see posts about essential mods/repairs needed for most brands. My team currently runs stock G&G ARP9s great guns but out of 5 bought 3 are broken in less than a year, with out heavy use also one drum mag failure out the box for the team mate with the still functioning gun. I had a TM scar which I had for 2 years before I got bored never missed a beat before I sold it( I have now been shot several times by the mate I sold it to). Most Airsoft manufacturers especially lower/ mid tier offer more for your money but (personal opinion) none of them match TM reliability. So if you want gun that you are prepared to do work if/when it needs it go for pretty much and manufacture. If you want a gun that you are 97% sure it will work every time get a TM.

  21. I only run 7.4v lipos in my electric guns and none of them have chewed through their internals. I don't really see the need for 11.1v batteries, but then again I don't really use AEGs at all outside of a TM mp7 AEP, and that runs suuuuuper nice on a 7.4v lipo!

    Glass BBs?!

There are shops in the uk selling 6mm bbs made of glass, for use in catapults and slingshots for hunting. So they could be glass https://www.amazon.co.uk/MILBRO-Glass-Slingshot-Catapult-Barnett/dp/B07JYB1K3T

  23. Yep. I have GHK AKs down to a fine art. Temperature is the only thing that really bothers it and it has to be below 10C for it to start to struggle. The MWS is reliable as always.

  26. Yep very true. If the gas guns that I have seen are anything to go by, you can peer into the guts of them in the boot of your car pre-game, then at lunchtime, and again mid fire-fight in the afternoon. That said I don't know a huge number of people that use them. Is yours reliable enough?

  27. Careful with the li-po. The tops pull off the damn things if you are too forceful when inserting them into the adaptor. They are a huge improvement though.

  28. In the past they were the go to brand for reliability, but fortunately for us poors the ACM manufacturers have upped their game in terms of qc. I agree their gas guns are great, but some models can have issues (I'm looking at you FN57 and R870)

  30. Fieldcraft... ahh many happy memories as both an air cadet and subsequently as a CI teaching it. Great fun! And also very useful in skirmishes. Trying to blend in with your surroundings however generally helps. Turning up in grey joggers or a black boiler suit wielding a 2 tone will get you shot at, lots. I know, I've done it... haha. Hadn't come across Pencott before, very good. However the OP still hasn't given us any clues as to what they want to look like, leaving us all guessing. Everyone has different ideas of "essentials", I'd say if using pouches improves your game then absolutely go for it... although my reload times are still woeful, a good 20 seconds of clumsy fumbling on a good day. D'oh! Never mind John 117, I'm more like a clumsy blaster fodder Stormtrooper at the front of an Imperial boarding crew...

  34. A penguin is driving a rental car through the desert when suddenly the air conditioner stops working. The penguin, frantic with the heat, swerves into the first car repair shop he sees. Penguin jumps out yelling, "Quick, quick! Drop everything and fix my air conditioner. I'm literally dying from this heat! Really, it's an emergency!" The mechanic says, "Calm down, now. I can fix your car in about a half hour, and you should just go across the street to wait in the ice cream shop. It's cool in there, and they sell soft-serve ice cream." The penguin is thrilled, jumping up and down, and yells, "Yay!! Soft serve is my favourite!", and he scampers across the street waving his stubby wings. Exactly a half hour later the penguin rushes out of the ice cream shop with vanilla ice cream all over his face, and runs into the repair shop, yelling, "Did you fix it!? Did you fix it!?" The mechanic says, "Yeah, no problem. It looks like you just blew a seal." The penguin frantically wipes his mouth and yells, "No fucking way! That's just ice cream!!"

    Tell Us a Gag. Please!

A man sees a sign outside a house - 'Talking Dog For Sale.' He rings the bell, the owner appears and tells him the dog can be viewed in the back garden. The man sees a very nice looking Labrador Retriever sitting there. "Do you really talk?" he asks the dog. "Yes," the Labrador replies. After recovering from the shock of hearing the dog talk, the man asks, "So, tell me your story." The Labrador looks up and says, "Well, I discovered that I could talk when I was pretty young. I wanted to help the government, so I joined the SAS. "In no time at all they had me jetting from country to country, sitting in rooms with spies and world leaders, because no one imagined that a dog would be eavesdropping. "I was one of their most valuable spies for eight years. But the jetting around really tired me out, and I knew I wasn't getting any younger so I decided to settle down. I signed up for a job at Heathrow to do some undercover security work, wandering near suspicious characters and listening in. I uncovered some incredible dealings and was awarded several medals. I got married, had a few puppies, and now I've just retired." The man is amazed. He goes back into the house and asks the owner how much he wants for the dog. "Ten quid," the owner says. "£10!!? But this dog is absolutely amazing! Why on earth are you selling him so cheaply?" "Because he's a lying bastard. He's never been out of the garden."

Phoenix feather airsoft has a video from a few years back at an event, someone was caught using glass bbs because someone got shot and it shattered on his mask causing his face got cut up underneath.

One of my buddies bought a bundle and included with it was a carton of glass bb’s!! they do exist! They were quickly dispatched to the bin! But horrifying to think of the consequences of a shattered glass bb after a mesh mask/ eye pro impact ?
