Because I have the impulse control of a 7 year old, I’ve got one of these on the way https://www.brownells.co.uk/B-TM-FOLDING-STOCK-FOR-RUGER-10/22-SAMSON-MANUFACTURING-CORP-B-TM-Folding-Stock-For-Ruger-10-22-Stainless-Stainless-Steel-100047441 It’s called the B-team and I couldn’t resist it. TM MP7, bothers me it’s not to scale…needs painting. HW Aimpoint t2 & FAST mount. Clone PEQ15. Surefire scout w/ KM2 head. TacBelts sling. PTS Griffin suppressor - 556 marked so not entirely accurate but the Griffin MP7 flash hider accepts all Griffin cans…so close enough.

  6. Apologies to those who saw my other thread, but I'm pretty proud of my placard/micro rig I've designed so I'm gonna show it in here too tbh! Won't up sell too hard here, feel free to look up @f9gear_ on IG (or FB) if you're in to kit and would like to know more. Or even if you just want to follow the story of an airsofter selling gucci gear to Americans (hopefully).

    Accuracy v weight

Thank you all for your replies. It has hop up and the very small screw for adjustment seems to be Loctited in, but the problem was not a vertical error but a 360 deg. error. The barrel and shells were cleaned before use so there should have been no problem, however i bought some .4 balls a couple of weeks ago and the accuracy is much better, i will try some heavier balls when my local (250 miles away!!) dealer has some more in stock. I have been shooting for 70 years and still learning something new as airsoft is a new science to me. Thanking you all again for your help. Regards, Makis

  9. A great day at Apocalypse just outside Royston on Sunday, despite the kurtz deciding to throw a tantrum and decide to work fine on the range but not in game twice. I ended up spending the afternoon running around with just the gas shotgun and a training knife, the 4 knife kills in under 5 minutes was a nice bonus

Hey Snuff, I've got one of each and I can say that the middle one is the easiest and clearest to use. The others obscure the target somewhat and if they're not magnified it reduces their effectiveness. If you do look for a magnified one I would suggest not going over 2x

  20. Priority racking should be reserved for your wife, or at least your favourite mistress. I'm genuinely interested to hear about whether @BigStew got "racked" for VAT and duty. There's no reason that GunFire (and TaiwanGun) can't start paying it at source instead of Polish VAT, and given their random communication, they might have done it without even bothering to tell anyone.

  22. If UPS have delivered in 6 days that's incredibly random and lucky. I'd be interested as well if they managed to do this. UPS brokerage emailed me on Friday to say that my parcel was awaiting inspection, but they said they'd put it in priority racking. It's made my parcel feel a lot better as it sits in the warehouse.

  23. Well I pulled the trigger on it... Defconairsoft selling at £135 plus next day delivery at £6. Also bought a couple of cans of gas as well, one mini for my belt pouch, one full size but low power for indoor plinking. Got some abbey ultra and sniper already knocking around for the next skirmish, if it's below 10C Now I did mention I was interested in the px4. Specifically because @Farapollo has a nearly new one for sale, with a spare mag included for around the £100 mark. And I twice contacted him about it. First I changed my mind and bought my F2000 for Xmas, and now this. Sorry Farapollo! So if anyone reading this thread has a hankering for a modern TM pistol, but thinks £135 plus another £30 for a spare mag is off-putting, I recommend you consider his package instead. It was such a great value proposition I still feel a bit silly for going for a pistol I slightly prefer the aesthetics of, but it's costing me so much extra cash.

    Who to use for postage

This is a tricky one Legislation on the carriage of dangerous goods changed a few years back and brought in restrictions on ‘pressure vessels’ as opposed to ‘pressurised’ This means that any ‘normal’ carrier will show them in their ‘restricted’ or ‘prohibited’ goods lists (probably prohibited) and then you can only use a specialist carrier, or as retailers will (or ought to) use their contracted carrier on specific runs etc Blame the people who used to lie on their declarations and had air cylinders found on routes that used air Mail (a lot more than you may think) If you manage to find one, then ideally the cylinders regulator should be removed (rendering it impossible to pressurise - but doesn’t stop it being a ‘pressure vessel’ A lesser measure is to remove the full nipple and/or the high burst disk - but anyone running the package through an X-ray won’t notice that - they will still see a cylinder with a fitted regulator (***** of course it must be fully depressurised before removing any parts *****)

  26. It depends on your site's chrono policies, and everyone's got their own ideas of the One True Way. If they chrono with the weight that you're intending to use, with hop on, sure. Some sites are still using 0.2g, some apparently even want the hop turned right off. If you're unlucky enough to play at once of those, you'll have to tune to their quirks. There's a notional legal consideration that if it's capable of auto, and shooting "any missile" at over 1.3J, then it's not legally speaking an airsoft gun. You'd be hard pressed to find any tool of the State who knows this, let alone cares about it though.

  30. Truly shameless self promotion alert - also aimed very much at the military so forewarning if you're not in to kit that's way OTT for airsoft. If I may I'd like to present the Ammo Hub A1, a supremely modular placard that at the core level is designed to be the foundational basis for carrying your primary mags either on the front of a PC or built up to a chest rig. I get that from the picture that it really doesn't look like much, but please believe me when I say the design is done in such a way that there are 10s of thousands of potential setups you can build and the aftermarket integration features of the placard are done such that the interfaces are super sleek and tucked away - mostly they comprise of slots and various velcro areas. It takes any mag insert with hook velcro on both sides like Spiritus and HSP so it'll work for ARs, AKs and all SMGs just like the other micro rigs many of you will be familiar with. I'm not currently aware of a PC with placard integration on the front that this cannot attach to. It can take different top and side attachment buckle options as well as any PALS pouches on the front, sides and base and Tubes compatible dangler pouches/sub loads. It can be stacked on top of itself or mounted side by side with itself if you buy 2 and want that capacity and capability. Any back strap or harness that uses industry standard 1" buckles can be attached but the side attachment loops can be tucked away entirely when used on a PC. If you have a cummerbund that includes FS Tubes it can clip in directly to the placard rather than the front plate bag for maximum security (extra Tubes purchase req'd); but if that doesn't apply for your PC there's also a way to strap the bottom of the placard to the bottom of the plate bag. Because of its' size it can be slightly curved even with 3 AR mags stored and it will stick to your PC/chest rig base better than most other similar products. The Ammo Hub is very very light and kept slim by the use of FirstSpear's specific 6/12 cordura/loop velcro laminate fabric while still being made to meet or exceed the specs required for military applications in terms of strength and durability of both materials and stitching. The hub is shown here mounted to the front of an FS Plate Carrier with 3 EMAGs stowed inside: The first small batch will only be in MC and will available around late feb/early march. There's are no 2 ways about it though, it will be expensive. You're looking at something roughly in the region of $60-70 (exact details TBC) for the basic setup with just top attachment buckles and you'll then need an insert of your choosing to retain mags, but I'd imagine a lot of interested folks will already own compatible ones. At least at first they'll only be available from FS in the states but of course I'll work with shops like Tactical-Kit to bring it to the UK if the desire is there and the opportunity arises. If there's desire in the market then more colours will be shortly forthcoming and I have lots of ideas for my own harnesses/back straps and expander wings etc to compliment the wide variety already available out there that are compatible from the likes of Ferro, Spiritus and Haley. NB - There is actually room for 5 x SMG mags like MP5 and ARP9. I'll be gradually talking about and showing all the many features in depth and close up over the coming weeks on my business IG/FB page so feel free to follow if you'd like to know more: https://www.instagram.com/f9gear_/ https://www.facebook.com/F9-Gear-105213495349920

@steverebo always good to keep in mind that there's so many factors involved nothing is ever 100% guaranteed to fit or work straight away. Exactly the same with these ZCI plastic chambers. They are however cheap. If you purchased from me let me know, I've got some sample zci adjustable nozzles around somewhere, I'll drop one in for you for free ? might help you diagnose any issues.

  35. Well, it took until v7 for all the various issues to be ironed out, but my ICS Galil Midcaps are done for now. They are designed to use PTS EPM springs and followers, as well as 5 M3x14 bolts, 5 M3x0.5 square nuts, the bottom screw and square nut from the high cap, and the spring/retainer arm from the high cap. This particular one holds 104 BBs. I will do a feeding test once I get my Galil back from the shop - should be at least two weeks. To be honest the surplus of bolts is a bit overkill and technically none are needed - the metal high cap shell provides plenty of compression strength and the sole bottom bolt/nut would technically hold the insert in place, but I have like 300 random M3 bolts and nuts from other projects, and this way mag insterts can be kept in one piece outside of the shell, for shipping or should a user ever want to switch back to a highcap.

It's both surprising and disappointing to hear that employees are losing out as well as customers. It does smack rather of moribund thinking from the owner, and I hope things improve for you.

I managed to find one for mine that was a little lower than the normal AK type. Unfortunately I can't remember where I got it from or what it was. I have a feeling it was from skirmshop, but looking on there they don't seem to have it anymore. It looks to be this type, but where you can get one from I don't know, I'm afraid. https://m.alibaba.com/product/60595790961/Quick-Detach-AK47-AK74-Side-Rail.html

  45. Well.. update time... I caved in and bought one... Bought from Onlyairsoft in stevenage, and I got the last one they had in stock. I have been looking at this rifle all week, and watching them quickly go out of stock everywhere, that combined with a couple of friends expressing regret at not buying a RIF they really wanted (believing it would be restocked but then weren't), I decided to take the plunge, as well as buying the one spare mag I could find at wolf armouries. I haven't been able to field it yet, so can't comment much on performance, but the rifle feels very sturdy, the action is easy to draw back (unlike the upgraded spring in my Well Hecate). I did try doing a "mad minute" with the rifle on the test range at onlyairsoft and it fed well, with only one double feed that was down to user error more than the rifle (didnt pull the bolt all the way back to engage the sear on one shot) Couple of things I do feel wary of though are the magazine release, as it is not spring loaded. I can easily imagine catching it accidentally in the heat of battle with a gloved finger and dropping your mag. The lever is high up in the trigger guard so I don't see it being a common issue, just that one time you try to rapid fire and accidentally catch it. The other thing I have noted is some sideways movement of the rear sight. The sight is not so loose that it will move on its own when firing the rifle, but there is enough movement that an accidental nudge, for example with the rifle slung on your shoulder, could move the sights out of alignment, so without attention it will be difficult to zero the sights and keep them zeroed. I havent looked too closely, but I believe I can sort this issue with some shims on the pivot I will eventually be stripping the wood furniture and trying to give it more of an aged look, as I personally think that would suit the rifle better than its current pristine appearance. Also going to be looking at making/buying some attachments to give the rifle different looks for ww1 "trench tommy" or ww2 paratrooper or BEF loadouts I have planned

  47. Yes, the case that springers to mind is of the drunken beggar (but I repeat myself) that was convicted for public possession of an orange "soft air" gun. It's unclear from the reporting whether the prosecution was under 16a as above, or Firearms Act Section 19, simple public possession. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/local-news/man-toy-gun-outside-bank-2723276 Still convicted though, Firearms Act doesn't distinguish. I'm guessing one of these beauties. Broken drum time, but public possession (IF or RIF) is the real risk for us as owners, purchasers, and even "modifiers", not any VCRA considerations, since the VCRA won't be an issue unless you've already been caught orange handed. Note that Section 19 is a strict liability offence that requires an affirmative defence, and the prosecution doesn't have to show any intent or guilty mind. I try to keep site details readily to hand on my phone when on the way to or from a game day.
