muzzle system that ignites the gas coming from airsoft gun?
MacTheBreacher and 2 others reacted to The Waco Kid for a topic
Bic tactical do them. You have to supply your own duct tape as they don’t come with a solid mount. Make sure you used correctly threaded tape as CCW duct tape will damage a CW barrel thread. Alternatively there is the MagZippo’s version. Some people like them but they tend to make it barrel heavy. I wonder what happened to the lad who wanted to build an airsoft flame thrower user a petrol leaf blower? I’m sure he used to play at Ulitmate Wargames. Anyhow this is why we have November the 5th burns unit 2 for 1 special offers. ?3 points -

Just purchased my first Pistol/airsoft gun, thoughts?
Rogerborg and 2 others reacted to Enid_Puceflange for a topic
My first pistol was a WE Glock It worked in colder temperatures never spat its guts out, and worked when I needed it to at critical close moments when using my AEG was simply “unfriendly” ? A decent starter pistol. I enjoyed mine and added fibre optic sights to it to make it a bit different and mine getting a holster is easy as there are so many options for it As to the styling, not my cuppa - but it’s not mine Enjoy it with the knowledge that you have bought a reasonably solid workhorse?3 points -

Help my teammates repair the rifle today, I find that they all use different brands and parameters of high torque NdFeB motors (Nd-Fe-B high strong magnet), I removed 4 motors and tested their efficiency. Motor efficiency refers to the ratio of the output speed with load to the no-load speed, high-efficiency motors save power and generate less heat. The four motors shown below: A:N35H 34000RPM B:N52SH 28000RPM C:N35 or N48 31000RPM (Unable to find the motor magnetic shoe level, by hand twist and torque comparison, guess it may be N35 or N48) D:N35 36000RPM The four motors are installed in the same rifle in the order of ABCD, use the same configuration of the gearbox grip, same battery, fully charge to 12.6V each time, conduct sonic test, get the RPS, then calculate the conversion efficiency of each motor. The gears used are 12:1 weight reduction hollow steel cut gears, the spring is M85, and the initial speed is about 270FPS (limited by local regulations). Get the track Waveform Diagram as below By calculating the peak value in one second, we get the RPS of each motor: A:36 B:37 C:33 D:35 The formula for calculating efficiency is RPS*12*60/no-load speed, we get the following data Group Magnetic shoe model 12.6V RPS 11.1V no-load RPM 12.6V loaded RPM(RPS*12*60) Relative efficiency A N35H 36 34000 25920 76.23% B N52SH 37 28000 26640 95.14% C N35 orN48 33 31000 23760 76.64% D N35 35 36000 25200 70.00% Please note: 1. The no-load speed marked by the manufacturer is measured at 11.1V, and the load voltage in this test is 12.6V, so the efficiency cannot represent an absolute value, and can only be used as a comparison reference for the efficiency performance of different types of motors 2. Efficiency is also directly related to the spring we use. If a high FPS spring is used, the efficiency may change. It is speculated that the more efficient motor should have a more obvious efficiency advantage under high load conditions (high FPS). 3. In addition to the magnetic shoe strength, the efficiency is also related to the coil 4. Because the motor is not brand new, the accuracy of the efficiency data may be affected by the high temperature demagnetization of individual motors. 5. From the test results, it can be seen that the B motor with the lowest no-load speed achieves the highest RPS in actual use due to its ultra-high efficiency, and at the same time, the heating energy consumption is lower. Although the no-load speed of the D model is high, due to low efficiency, the actual RPS is in a backward position, and it also brings more heat. The above data are obtained from my non-professional tests and are only for players' reference. Comparison test of motor efficiency---Ussli.docx2 points

The Silverback TAC-41 challenge: is it a YouTube grade sniper out of the box?
TuckyTuckyd and one other reacted to Rogerborg for a topic
With the caveat that it'll need a spring to get it up from about 1.8J to your site limit, my tl;dr answer is: This is based on 1 day's play, versus a Well MB-03 with some upgrades that I've been messing around with on and off. Pros: A numbered and indexed clicky TDC hop. All airsoft snipers should come with this. Once you dial it in for a BB weight, take a note of the setting and you can just reset it to there again. I should note that I'm bang on 8 out of 10 for 0.43g, so it should be fine for 0.45g but I can't speak to 0.48g+ "plastic". A short, smooth bolt pull. It feels lighter than it actually is (17-25kg for a 100 Newton spring), but it's a pleasure to pull. I didn't experience any struggling or fatigue all day, even while prone. A decent adjustable and crisp 90 degree trigger. A quick and simple bolt removal / spring change system, with all the tools needed stored in the gun. The bolt comes unfitted, and the box urges you to Read The Fine Manual to figure it out. It's well illustrated and very nearly written in English. Once you've done it, you'll be ranting "Why aren't all snipers like this?" Great consistency. I deliberately didn't even clean the barrel, just tweaked the hop and spring to get 2.3J with properly hopped 0.43g, and played. Once I had my scope adjusted, I was consistently hitting head sized targets (OK, heads) at 50m (airsoft estimate) and airsofter sized targets at beyond AEG range. The limiting factor was wind, and my ability to hold it steady. The bolt is ambidextrous and can be switched to lefty for Satanic sorts. It's got nice indexing on the rotation, being positively up or down, and not wanting to muddle around in the middle. The parts that matter all seem to be steel. Meh and missing: The body is a reasonable polymer, but not superb, and it's neither heavy, nor light. The barrel is floating. This may be significant for bang-guns, but it's largely pointless for airsoft, and the slight flex feels a little peculiar. It doesn't effect consistency, but neither does it isolate the handguard - resting it on an oil drum resulted in a lot of resonance. I'll probably just shim it. The lack of a cocked indicator is a little disappointing. You can just about tell from the trigger. There's apparently a double feed prevention system, but I managed to get one (1) double-feed today. There are no sling mounts as stock. You'll need to buy some QD sling mounts - there are QD holes front and rear on both sides. There's a decent long RIS rail on top, but the front and sides are m-lok, so you'll need a rail section even to add a bipod. As a Scotch, this irks me a little. The magazine well is just in front of the trigger, but feeds to the hop unit via a "feed ramp" with 20 BBs in it. This needs "primed" by inserting a mag to fill the ramp, then removing the magazine and refilling it. A little annoying, and it means the gun is never really "unloaded" unless you empty the ramp (and spill 20 BBs). In practice, you'll likely just keep it filled and it won't be an issue. Cons: The magazines are a decent capacity, holding 48 BBs each. They just fit in a pistol pouch, with a little wiggling. However, they're tricky to fill, needing to push the feed down very slightly while loading the BBs. That's also how you unload it, and it's an overly sensitive mechanism: I emptied a few mags while trying to wiggle them into pouches. The mags have to go in straight, not front-then-back as they want to do. This is explained in the Fine Manual, but you're fighting against the gun slightly. The cocking handle wants to unscrew itself from the bolt. I've seen another reviewer mention this. I've screwed it in securely, and will threadlock it. It's curious given how well everything else seems to be put together. And that's it. I can't find anything else wrong with it. Once the mags are in, it's a joy to use. As seen elsewhere here, this is what I'd hoped airsoft sniping would be like. The number of times I LOLed out loud today as I face-shot folk sticking their head out of cover would do a "OMG CHEETAR PUNISHED" YouTube channel proud. Keep all this in context, it's an airsoft toy, not precision engineering. Aftermarket parts are available, and might make it marginally more consistent or quieter. However, in a world that contains wind, rain, grass, leaves and Plastic Magnetos, I reckon it really is actually good enough for me with just a spring change.2 points -

Welcome! Airsoft is built on honesty so make it fun for everyone and take your hits, go home with a clear conscience ? Bang for buck the SA E03 or Arcturus GR16 IMO. As for G&G I like them but you’d want an Advanced series and they cost more. I would not advise anyone to buy Ares, they are special in wrong ways. I wouldn’t get to bent up on a DMR, if your assault rifle is tuned there’s not massive difference in range between them. To make a truly worthy DMR you’d want a specific rifle that wouldn’t work in other roles really.2 points -
Been buying quite a few things over the past couple of weeks... First off, I bought a replica ww1 uniform from soldier of fortune. After asking advice on this forum, I spoke to a couple of re-enactors who all say they sourced their kit from SoF, so that's where I went.. (Haven't photographed the webbing, as it just looks like a tangled mess, but I do have it ? ) Already fitted a Northamptonshire regiment badge to the cap.. Next I purchased some spare magazines for the Lee Enfield, as well as a red dot sight with riser rail and a patch. I also bought a dog tag striker pad... (because I am fed up with the striker pads on my pyro falling off) All bought from Socom tactical and then finally... Today I purchased a real steel BSA No.9 peephole rear sight with matching mount plate for the SMLE... I just need to make up a longer screw to go through the upper hole as well as the safety lever... (currently it just has one lower screw and the original spacer holding it in place)2 points

Lonestar Spec-Ops Sierra Mask anyone used one?
John_W and one other reacted to Lonestar Tactical Gear for a topic
Hi guys, i can try to answer your questions, we designed and patented the Sierra Mask as a mauable design, it is able to be fully molded to the users face. We have had no issues when it has come to various types of eye pro, and during the year long development, ours trial users, used everything from frame less to framed, including goggles. I can understand about the photos for the website, it is very difficult as we couldn't find a display head with true human proportions, so it doesn't really show the Sierra mask off till its full potential. When users purchase a Sierra Mask We do suggest spending time to mold the mask to their own face, whilst using their usual eye pro, ultimatly the better the fit, the more comfortable they are when using for prolonged periods. Personally I spent around 15 minutes when I first molded mine, and wear it every Sunday without issue. We have sold over 800 Sierra Masks in the last 8 weeks, and have only received positive feedback. However, if you have any questions, i am more than happy to answer them. I'm amazed I lasted this long tbh! I'm going to be attending a local pistol club fairly regularly so I figured why not purchase one now given i will likely only use it their anyway, maybe as a sidearm in the future if I venture into DMR's. And that's exactly why I got it tbh mate, something a bit different and I like to think I don't take myself or this hobby too seriously, and I am a big kid and nerd at heart ?2 points -

Lonestar Spec-Ops Sierra Mask anyone used one?

First Reply to Skulchewer, we do have a Spec-Ops Sierra Mask in Multicam Black currently available ?? Second Response to Zigey, woodland or DPM, yes is the answer, we braught out the Multicam Hi-Bred as an interim mask, which was a bridge between Multicam and DPM, so its Multicam Pattern but with DPM colours. We do have a DPM due in about four weeks, as it has been a very popular request. As for active discount codes, im afraid the answer is no, lol, we supply to site retailers, as well as airsoft shops, so we are not able to offer a discount, due to that undercutting our retail contract. General Response. If any of you have any questions, please do ask, i will always do my best to answer them, thanks again, all the best Eddie LSTG1 point -

We've been throwing money at it for years, but it is scheduled to be replaced in 2025. The L85 is the very definition of Sunk Cost Fallacy. Well, you lasted longer than I did. Buying a pistol while you're renting an AEG is pretty sensible (in airsoft terms). You'll spend far more than that on far less if you stick with airsoft, it'll work fine, and you've got something a bit different from the default Big Black Glock. I'd call that a win. Aside, the first time I played, I was a bit nervous that it would all be serious geardos and Walts playing, but there was one mad lad in a pretty decent Deadpool costume which reassured me that airsoft really is just a fun game for overgrown kids.1 point
