  1. But if you're choosing paintball over airsoft, are you really fighting to preserve anything worthwhile?
    7 points
  2. It's all good bro. I was the same as nearly got scammed myself till I did some research. Here's how to tell. This is compared to the ARES/STAR version. So where the red arrows are. Position 1, there is a small hole not present of the airsoft. Position 2, here there are 2 circles that on the real one are on the left hand side and stick out. On the airsoft version they are on the right side and recess in to the body. Position 3, there is a small hole there, which is present on both sides. Also not on the airsoft version. Position 4, the way you get to the lense. It's on the rear on the real one, yet is on the front of the airsoft. Then there's the markings. The real one will always start with AVL, and year starts from 1985 up. ARES/STAR and a few other clones all start STX and the year is always 2005. Then is the NSN number. The airsoft one isn't even correct on any part of it. Now there are a few other really minor signs, but these are the obvious. Hope that helps bud.

  6. Seeing as it's just a toy, she'd be fine with both her and her son being shot in the eyes using it? That's what her darling little boy was potentially subjecting his fellow pupils too. As someone who recently had eye surgery, I am very sensitive about this subject!

  13. So, in these days I ordered: 2x Vector Optics Maverick dot; 2x TTI AAP drum magwell; 5x AW glock red gas router; 1x ALG Defense 6 Seconds mount repro; A bunch of viton o-rings and x-rings; 1x AT size waterproof paper holder thingy (to store folded maps and documents); 1x DD MFR XS (RIS III) 9" repro and most likely some other thing I totally forgot about..

  14. Yeah it’s UM-651G, great guess! It’s pretty accurate and with 0.12’s the hop give it about 30 metres range but the wind blows it miles off target I do (somehow) have a photo of it with it assembled and the grip taken off but (somehow)you can barely see what’s going on, let alone identify pieces. I think my dad likes this sort of stuff (somehow) and it might be a bit of fun trying to piece it together (somehow). God I hate the word ‘somehow’, sounds so weird

  15. "Dear Diedre, I necked two bottles of crème de menthe at my sister's wedding, one thing led to another, and somehow I woke up as the support beam in an Uncle Bob and Cousin Ralph Eiffel Tower. Which one should I marry?" Sorry, chap, I can't find anything like an internal diagram for that. I'm vaguely aware that these things exist and shoot at a claimed 0.1J or so. I want to say... UHC UM-651? I'm coming up blank.

  19. ?A German guy called Helmut approaches a lady of the night in London . "I vish to buy sex viz you." "Okay," says the girl, "I charge £50 an hour." "Ist goot, but I must varn you, I am a little kinky." "No problem," she replies cautiously, "I can do a little kinky for an extra £10." Helmut agrees. So off they go to the girl's flat, where the German produces four large bedsprings and a duck caller. "I vant zat you tie zese springs to each of your hans und knees." The girl finds this odd, but complies, fastening the springs as requested. "Now you vill get down on your hans und knees." This she duly does, balancing precariously on the springs. "You vill please to blow zis kwacker as I make love to you." She thinks this even odder, but figures it's harmless (and the guy is paying). But the sex is fantastic: honking away on the duck caller, she is bounced all over the room by the energetic German. The climax is the most sensational she has ever experienced, and it's several minutes before she has enough breath to say, "That was totally amazing! What do you call that position?" "Zat," replies the German, "is ze Four-sprung Duck Technique ???

Theres an entire Airsoft underworld dedicated to this. Are you on discord? Just so happens that a couple of Rolls Royce employees have spent the last 5 years making upgrades for the KJ KC-02 (Airsoft 10/22) too. www.Rogueworx.co.uk Everything is out of stock right now but major restocks this month and July If you want a bull barrel or a traditional taper, PPT customs can help you out finally, the KJ receiver and trigger box will fit in any 10/22 stock as long as you cut the rear tang off. Rimfire magic sometimes have wooden factory Ruger stocks for about £35 if it’s the classic 10/22 look you’re after

  23. Slightly less shit and more informative pic. The lead is plugged into the top right socket as per the two cell setting on the diagram. Dig that classic B6 action.

  24. You need different balance leads for batteries with different numbers of cells. You have I assume a two cell battery, so you need the littlest plug socket which has three metal prongs in it. Put the tiny arrow shaped things on the plugs lead into the slots provided in the socket. Here's a shit pic of mine plugged in properly: If you take a pic of your charger, someone will no doubt tell you where to stick the leads in etc.

  31. Hey boiiiiis, I have this old and battered TM Glock 17 that I got from a friend for a whopping €25 two years ago (yep, bought him a LiPo battery and he gave me the gun) and it's been sitting in a drawer ever since, fires nice but the trigger has a weird problem that doesn't affect operation. I'm considering spending some shekels on it by building a race gun-sort of thinamajig. The plan is to change out a few bits like the trigger for a TTI (yup, love me a TTI trigger), add a magwell and a repro ALG Defense 6 seconds mount because reasons. Internally I am still not sure, maybe a CowCow hammer set? Yay or nay? Anything I should take care of while I crack it open? Pic for attention ❤️ EDIT: Forgot to add that this gun won't get skirmished, it's just for plinking or the odd summer night cqb game if I don't feel like using my AAPs.

  32. Had my best experience using my DMR on Sunday. Having a .50 trigger delay felt like an eternity during gaming play (so will reduce that slightly), but I really liked it. I felt that I made each shot count and therefor a better experience. During the heavy rain, there was only so far I could see my bb before it would disappear, so one of my team mates was acting as a spotter, that was great fun and very immersive. We even took on other snipers, successfully by working this way. I love my DMR and the role I do so much more now - got some Geoff bb’s on the way. Roll on Sunday!

  33. I bought a less than a tenner spring shotgun from TG. It shot at about 400fps. I literally cracked it open (broke the glue) and it fired bits all over the place. Once we'd collected the bits the lad and I had a laugh reassembling it all together again and cutting the spring. It was like doing a 3D jigsaw puzzle in a half open matchbox. We got it shooting dead on 340fps and really consistent. Silk purse from sows ear as it were. Good luck with the pistol.

  41. What are the chances of this...? About a month or so ago I wanted to start a new project build of Al Pacino's 1991 in heat, then Nova comes out with the EXACT same kit for 3 times what I had in mind It has to be some glitch in the matrix or some sick joke. Contemplated all day and just went ahead with it.. Do you guys have any tips on how one can stop spending money on their toy guns??‍♂️

Another BRILLIANT day at Red Alert. Lots of kills, lots of deaths, LOADS of laughter. Great marshalling, great hit calling. I bloody love that site. No two days are the same, as they change up game modes often, thanks to the size and layout of the site. I highly recommend Red Alert Newbury if it's within your travelling distance. Also, Sneaky is a damn good shot with his DMR!!

  47. As above, the valve knocker is prone to breaking, I do plan to see about getting some steel ones cut when I can get to a local engineering place. They are very cool, mine has full British army trades, and can be skirmished but the knocker will fail at some point. Get one !
