  1. Giving war photojournalists a bad rep starter kit. Just a camera strap, blue helmet cover and a press vest away, then I'm ready to abuse journalist immunity one 40mm at a time. ?

  3. The bottom gun is an Evolution Airsoft M4 Recon UX4 9" Carbontech and it goes for about €180/190 new. Essentially a Specna E-08 with red plastics and a different logo.

  5. Why is nobody (paper included) mentioning the kid who actually shot the bb gun at other pupils? What was his punishment? Yes, this kid was stupid for a multitude of reasons, 1) having the gun on him in a public place that is not an airsoft site/somewhere it would be reasonable to be carrying a bb gun and 2) for giving it to someone else to use. The kid who actually shot other pupils should also be excluded, ignorance is not a defence for doing something stupid.

  8. From memory of most of the older design Dukes from that era had the same probs that they always had - crap electrics, poor finish, flimsy plastics. The multistrada was a bit of a change in Dukes attitude to quality though. More modern design that shook off a few of the old problems. I know that SS models of that era still ate reg/recs and had a general aversion to water. A colleagues 900SL went through black boxes quicker than it wore out the tyres. The newer designed bikes had a far better reputation but still need regular maintenance as said above. A mate was told by Massimo Tamburini himself that regular oil changes were the key to long engine life in Dukes. They don't stand neglect. I'd be interested in it. But then I have an Italian bike in my garage already. It's worth the odd issue for the riding experience alone IMHO. You have a lot of fun for your money there if its been looked after.

  9. Unfortunately this is literally a Maxx hop unit in a pretty frock with a prefitted R-hop. The ad isn't really Macks worthy to me though, because it IS an expensive product. It's just that the product itself is a bit of a rip off to start with.

  10. Ok, turns out the crappy plastic gears are worn out and the cogs don’t do anything anymore, might try get a return (without saying I went inside).

  12. For that money, I'd want Maxx Hoproom to show up personally and demonstrate the extra consistency, at an outdoor range, under whatever wind and weather conditions were prevalent at the time.

  13. yep, for sure you can throw together a zci hop+barrel with ml guts and call it a day, but this sort of product is catering to those who care about that last 5%.

  14. The desert one is a G&P, pretty much the only thing that isn’t is the stock it works with no issues and feeds okay and the hop is upgraded and has an electronic trigger unit if I’m not wrong

    Selling my guns

You'll want to post them in the Classifieds section, but you will most likely need to meet a minimum post count before you'll be allowed to.

    One for the bikers ???

Sorry, nothing specific about that model, I won't touch Eyetalian because of the love-it-on-the-road, hate-it-in-the-workshop relationship that owners seem to have. (If you liked that video, check out the chap's channel which, unlike Eyetalian bikes or airsoft guns, is an exemplar of quality control.)

They manufacture air-guns, they import airsoft guns. All the Umarex products for airsoft are licenced replicas made by others (VFC and Cyma for example).

Sounds possibly like you are short stroking when you pump the gun. If you don't pump with enough force and travel the loading mech can Jam. Ther possibility is that the charging arms are jumping out the guide rails that could mean something is damaged.

  28. It's all good bro. I was the same as nearly got scammed myself till I did some research. Here's how to tell. This is compared to the ARES/STAR version. So where the red arrows are. Position 1, there is a small hole not present of the airsoft. Position 2, here there are 2 circles that on the real one are on the left hand side and stick out. On the airsoft version they are on the right side and recess in to the body. Position 3, there is a small hole there, which is present on both sides. Also not on the airsoft version. Position 4, the way you get to the lense. It's on the rear on the real one, yet is on the front of the airsoft. Then there's the markings. The real one will always start with AVL, and year starts from 1985 up. ARES/STAR and a few other clones all start STX and the year is always 2005. Then is the NSN number. The airsoft one isn't even correct on any part of it. Now there are a few other really minor signs, but these are the obvious. Hope that helps bud.

  40. Why can't I shake the suspicion that there's really only one actual OEM for all airsoft toys? I mean, it's literally one eight year old kid working 27 hours a day shackled to an assembly line, and everybody else just rebrands from there.

  43. It's exactly why mine died, and it's why I'm worried about the other motor (in my M4) because whenever I disassemble the thing to do repairs and fine tuning it's nerve wrecking to remove and plug the motor. I'm so tempted to just buy a wired ESC and swap it myself on this one.

  44. You absolutely can, but that specific "special edition" of the Maxx hop unit and a barrel, from Umbrella really does cost 220EUR new (which is an absolute piss take, granted, but it is what it is).

  45. £150 for a Barrel and Hop-up? Nice. I'm pretty sure you can get 90-95% of the supposed 'performance' for a small fraction of that cost - especially with UK power levels.
