Anyone can buy, own and sell airsoft replicas over the age of 18. And you don't even need to be 18 to own one. So you might be ok to ask for ID (sounds like a data breech waiting to happen) but you do not need a Ukara to sell a replica second hand.

@ShirtLessScottishGuy not cringey at all, the seller hasn't demanded ukara, the key word he has used is "ideally", no doubt that would be the easiest option for HIM to check ?. He does state that potential buyers will need to meet current legislation in some form, & does so at the start of the thread, obviously stop all the timewasters & chancers that cant prove a defense wasting his time, half term is just ending after all 😏 #trigger alert & Thank god nobody mentioned a "license" 😜

A buyer needs a defence or the seller is committing an offence, new or or second hand. A UKARA registration is one such method though all it is is a centrally held copy of your site membership. The site membership is you're defence, the UKARA Database merely makes it easier to check. It is intended for Dealers and the Customs to use, though some dealers will check for you if you ask.

Another cringe post demanding a UKARA. Unless you're a retailer you do NOT need a Ukara or any proof at all from someone. Only exception to that "in compliance with UK law" anyone over the age of 18 can buy and own a rif. Ukara is not a licence to own its a easier way to prove why you're buying one that is all it is.
