    Cheers for the advice! I just had my first range test. I have to rack up the Fast hop with stock rubber to the max (8 or 9) to lift a .48 to around 100 Google metres. Does that sound about right? I have seen many people saying they only have to put it to 4 to lift, but thats with aftermarket rubber and nubs.

    Just sorted it myself! Put PFTE tape around the bucking (Accidently ripped the nub so used the spare bucking that came with the SRS). Removed all the Original white grease and applied 100% silicon oil on everything that sealed. Put it all back together and its now firing 316 FPS on .48's which is the equivalent to roughly 489 FPS on .2's. with a 2 FPS variance. So pretty happy! Just need to test the hop to see if it lifts with the changed hop rubber and I should be done!

    Hello all. Just recieved my SRS 16" Covert. I installed the Fast Hop and Srs M150 spring. It's coming out at 292fps on .48s. Is this about right? Someone mentioned on the facebook group it's a little on the low side. If that's the case. Any tricks to up it a little bit?

    Its here its here! Brand new SRS 16" Covert. Installed the fast hop and the 150% SRS spring and is currently at 449 FPS or 292 FPS on .48's. Not sure if thats normal or a little low, but pretty happy with this anyway! Its very solidly built.

    To be fair the bar was owned by Sicilians, and I like pineapple on a pizza. So what do I know! I ate 3 pizzas when I was in Italy, Florence, Signa and Pisa. I wasn't particularly impressed with any of them and I went out of my way for the "Locals" establishments. Though the Mortadella in Signa was out of the this world and one of the few things I miss now I no longer eat pork. I stand by my comments on Maltese wine though. Excellent, though they struggle to make enough of it to keep in stock on the island, let alone export it. I have never been able to find a Maltese wine in the UK.

    Not purchased but given to me by my old Battlebuddy. 3 Madbull and 1 unknown 40mm Moscart. One was leaking but a bit of lube fixed that up. Great considering I managed to fubar all 4 of my moscarts the other day! But if I can get those working again then surely an ICS MGL is on the cards? Guarder Drop Leg left handed holster - I have the right handed version. So some Akimbo action? Kombatuk tan drop leg. Lots of paracord.

      At the moment I am looking at Airsoft Billericay as I can get to it fairly easy on Public Transport and they have spaces. 

       

      Nice long distance site with lots of cover. 

       

      I have been looking at other sites that still have spaces which I can get to the closest main railway station, but would need to rely on Uber (If one is around early Sunday) Or a lift. 

       

      Dogtag near Gatwick, Dragons Lair near Ongar, Incursion Dorking (Has very limited spaces left), Gunman Eversley is available both Saturday and Sunday. AWA Herts and Doomsday in Swanley are also open. 

       

      Whichever we choose we need to jump on it!

    Well I am getting a bit more serious into sniping with the impending arrival of a new SRS Covert 16", a PSO-1 scope for the SVU and new Vector Optic 3x39. I just cant afford to get fogged up or will ruin a round. I am similar with grease "chuck it on and leave it"

      @ak2m4 Get them to anodise it. A lovely gold finish that you can only see in the bottom of the magwell. :)

      That's doubly disappointing then, as CYMA can churn out perfectly decent stuff.  Maybe just getting to the end of life on those moulds.

       

      Wouldn't it be a laugh (sadly, not for you) if CYMA were fobbing off their bad castings on Dytac. It'd have a certain ruthless logic to it - use the best stuff in your own gear, and put the junk out under someone else's brand.

    I changed the mags out for the new Airsoft PRO M249 hop. They have made a new version which no longer uses the nub vertically, they have an adapter which uses standard nubs in the standard way! The mags I did order are pretty bad going by reviews. Poor feeding because of the strength of the spring and the dimensions are too big for most VSRS. So glad I could change over!
