We know, chap, the body of law on firearms and RIFs is a Frankenstein's monster patchwork that really could do with being repealed and replaced by one single statute covering the lot in a consistent fashion. But that isn't likely to work out in shooters' favour, whatever we're packing. Or the other 6 reasons, but point taken. I fully agree. Actually, as a private seller, I'd prefer that to a UKARA number which I can't even personally check is assigned to the buyer. On information, belief, or assumption? I'm not aware of any prosecutions under VCRA, let alone convictions. I'd love to see some case law.
-
All true, but there are airgun replicas of firearms than anyone over 18 (and not Scotch) can buy without a FAC or UKARA - and someone with a FAC will know this. Someone with a FAC who is showing an interest in an airsoft gun probably has good intent, and is very, very unlikely to cause a problem for the seller. They've got two referees, are cleared by their GP, have passed a criminal background check, convinced their Chief Constable of their need, passed a home inspection, have a gun safe, and have photo ID to demonstrate that. Contrast with a UKARA that may or may not indicate that someone who may or may not be the chap making a cash purchase has spent a few hours hanging around an airsoft site. I'm not encouraging any seller to commit an offence, just noting that it's worth asking them. I can (but won't) name one who will sell to folk without a UKARA as long as they're satisfied with the intent.
-
Which is why I'd suggest popping down to your local airsoft shop with your FAC and seeing what they say. They want to sell RIFs, and while you don't have a defence yet, it's very, very unlikely that you're going to do anything which will mean that it's a problem for them. No harm in asking. Not unless you argue that's theatrical or reenactment use. The only retailer who accepts JustCos insurance is Airsoft World in Cowdenbeath, Fife. JustCos is a joke site which fails to give the bare minimum of contact details, but my belief is that it's also run from Cowdenbeath, Fife. I'll leave you to draw your own conclusions.

Another next day delivery, exactly as ordered. Splendid stuff. Aside, that's my M4 bodgegun "PDW" back in service and shooting nicely. I do like me a stubby.
-
Heh, no worries, I've treated my cut-down M4 to a 229mm instead. Not to worry, I'll doubtless be back when you've got the 247s in stock.
-
Cheers, chap. If my wife asks, that's another order for "Workmate Eddy". Also, ball bearing rot on whomever bagged the last 247mm ZCI barrel.
-
It would be pretty hilarious to use it in CQB just for humiliation kills. Bear in mind that the quoted "250fps" is probably more like 220fps with 0.12g, going by their other "reviews". I guess you could always try for bang kills with it. ?

Hang on, if I'm going to watch Sweaty Dom and his pendulous manboobs, I'll have to lock the door first.
-
Mmm, mine turned up today. All good in the end, just don't expect prompt dispatch or reliable delivery. Aside, I am amused that delivery from Poland via GLS / Parcel Farce is cheaper than sending the same parcel within the UK. Rip off Britain writ large.
-
Yours, or mine? Well, I'm hoping they'll attempt redelivery today, since there seems to be no practical way to contact them. From their point of view, I guess they think they might as well try to deliver ASAP even when I've asked them not to. From mine, the less time my RIF spends being kicked and thrown around by their van monkeys, the better. [UPDATE] Finally got through, apparently it is out for delivery again today. Why they wasted their time (and risked my goods) throwing it in the van yesterday as well was a question that they couldn't answer.
-
Well, my shotty's in there keeping it company. You had any luck getting through to the feckers? Their phone numbers been engaged for me all morning, I'm not even getting to a switchboard or answering machine.
-
And as predicted, the incompetent van monkeys attempted delivery today.
-
£71.39 at Taiwangun. £61.87 at Gunfire , discount codes may be available.
-
Ergh, I've got Monday 12th as well. So much for Wednesday 7th. I've re-scheduled for the 13th, not that Parcel Farce will honour that. The sooner the last dregs of the Royal Fail finally go out of business, their pension scheme implodes, and their shop stewards have to get real jobs stacking shelves (yes, weekends too, you workshy feckers) the better.
-
Now in transit, but no delivery today, so no new toys for this weekend. It's like living in Soviet Russia!
-
I'm struggling to see anything like a date on m... Wait a darn minute. It's still in "Pre Advice", i.e. it's not even been handed to the courier yet. Not "has just been sent", the lying hounds.
-
Well, spank my nuts and call me a scutter. Dispatched and apparently in transit. I may have got the last one after all. It's unlikely to arrive by the weekend though, let alone the indicated date of tomorrow, but it's the thought that counts. No, wait, the other thing, it's having the item before the next game day that counts.
-
Fake news, now £175. You'd have to pay me to deal with that seller though.
-
I imagine if you're buying something from stock, and they've got loads of it, then they're probably no worse than any other airsoft retailer. ... which is about the faintest and most damning praise I can think of.
-
No update today. Aaaand the CM351 I ordered is now showing as out of stock. Did I get the last one, or will I receive that "Dear Customer..." sadface email when they can be bothered sending it?
-
#BorgLivesMatter This is their chance to win back my love, then we'll be besties forever.
-
No progress on my order. It's true, Johnny Foreigner doesn't get the concept of queuing. ?
-
? Wow. I got order 61707x last Thursday night. How far have they got since then? I don't mind too much about the dispatch and delivery time, as it's still much cheapness, many bargains Just as long as they don't foul it up like my previous order and go incommunicado. Friday dispatch and (this) Wednesday delivery was indicated when I ordered, so that's when the PayPal dispute will start. I love PayPal so much, it means not having to care about retailers' incompetence or excuses.
-
Huh, the 10% discount code is now front and centre and applies to everything. That's some seriously cheap gear at the moment - if it shows up. No updates on my order today, I expect they're victims of their own success again. ?
-
Back on topic, because I'm cheap and I don't learn well, I've put in another small order with them. One thing I'll note is that they seem to love discount codes, which are fairly easily found with a quick "gunfire discount code" Googol. 10% off what's already the cheapest EU prices that I can find was too much to resist. Order went in last night, I got the initial acknowledgements, but nothing today. I've again (I really should listen to my own advice) gambled on a "very small quantity of stock" item. Taking bets on when I get the "Dear Customer, unfortunately there is problem with order..." response.
