I remember an article from waay back (probably in AI ?) where someone from the UK visited Japan, playing a few games & just generally getting the lowdown on all things Airsoft in Japan. The upshot was that due to the strict power restrictions they do very little with them internally, BUT externally it's another matter, they dress up their gats with literally everything available, the flasher the better ? , & that they were big on loadouts, as accurate as possible with no expense spared.

But yeah I thought that, my first gat was one of these, literally a fraction of this for a better package, without the "upgrades", which are generally unnecessary, it's TM FFS. Clearly another case of "pay all my costs, & more, as I now want something costing a lot more" ?

I used to marshall occasionally at a couple of sites, jeez I'd get angry at the sheer stupidity of some players, & the blatant cheating of others. If I had hair I'd be pulling it out ?

Many years ago, when almost every site only allowed 328fps on a .20, there was a massive lack of knowledge on FPS with heavier ammo/joule creep, & all the other variables that can effect power in Airsoft, add to that the insurance companies knew even less so generally rather than investigate & attempt to learn more, they took the lazy route & just refused to cover anything other than 6mm use, most sites also wanted an easy life & accepted this, after all it's not like there's much about in 8mm ?. I'm sure some of the brainboxes on here can work out an accurate FPS/joule reading with the relevant info, personally I'm with @Rogerborg on this, if it chronos below about 330, say nothing & play on, no harm no foul ?

Right now your just as likely to spend £150 on a new similar looking cyma that will perform better & probably outlast his overpriced "box of bits". If the story is to be believed, that's a shocking hit to take on what he allegedly paid ?
