My ASG MK43 is a rebranded Ares, had 12,000 bb's roughly so far....never missed a beat and always feeds and as I've said before, nearly matches my TM recoil for range. My vz.58 also shoots well and hops .28 very well

Well it'll be staying completely stock until it eventually dies, so I'll see how long it lasts.

will prob be alright, even the dodgiest guns can't have a very high % of guns sold having issues

  3. It's a little rubber sleeve & nub that pushes down on the BB to give it 'backspin' to help increase range.
  4. They're not running on the 26th fella; they're open this Sunday, which I'm off to & then fortnightly.
  5. Yeah, there's a few around here of varying quality. You have Rifleworks, Nsc, Ntac, No Limits in Gateshead and Northern Alliance down past Northallerton, and more a bit further south. There's also Stirling that run weekend events at catterick too!
  6. Hi there fella & welcome I'm from Teesside too; over in Hartlepool. Depending where you are, you're welcome to grab a lift; I play at Rifleworks in Consett & Khe sahn at Otley. I'm actually off to RW this Sunday, so hit me up if interested!
  7. I like you already, PT. A man after my own heart!
  8. The G-spec comes with a rail for mounting scopes on, whilst the basic version has iron sights. The Standard one also has a longer barrel, whereas the G-spec has a shorter barrel & suppressor. There's not much in it, as you can replace the irons on the basic with a rail, or get a replacement muzzle on the G-spec to install a longer barrel and/or different suppressor etc. **Beaten to it by Prof!
  9. Okay...they fit fine. No idea what PB are on about.
  10. I've got one of both. I'll test them together once I've woken up properly.
  11. Is it all youngsters nowadays that need spoon feeding, or just airsofters? >_

As a complete new guy with no friends that do it I have found it a little daunting but the folks on the forum have been fantastic. Mind you some people surprise me that they survived to adulthood...

It's not ignorance that annoys me; there's always something you don't know after all.

It's when people are just so lazy & unwilling to expend the slightest bit of effort or thought and insist on having everything done for them that I get annoyed!

  12. I bought both a core & a zci barrel from Ak2M4 when they had them in stock (6.03 & 6.02 respectively). The core worked really well originally, not actually far off my Prometheus 6.03 (up until the gearbox started playing up) whilst the zci was decent, but when put side by side with the Prom was a bit lacking. (Note; all AK length barrels, used with G&G .28 ammo and G&G green buckings). At present I have two AKs with Prometheus barrels (one G3 length though) and one with the Core. The zci is in a drawer until I scrounge up enough parts to build the rest of this other AK.
  13. Not in the slightest, personally I find it a bit silly.
  14. Have you looked at ordering a PDI 6.05 direct from X-Fire? Shouldn't be too expensive that way.

That could also work; providing you have somewhere to shoot. However I didn't have anywhere to fire the pistol except on site; by which time it would have been too late. I think it's just down to WEs quality control. Some will come through fine, others are sadly lacking.

I had the same with my WE 226. The bucking's likely a stiff one, so it can't apply enough hop. Replace it with a softer one & it should help somewhat.
  17. There was Lightfighter in Sheffield about ten years ago that was an old industrial complex with lots of buildings & outdoor areas. One of the best sites I've ever been to. There's more out there still running, but nothing as good as that one. Also; you've posted this topic three times.
  18. Did you get yours second hand? I ask because when I bought a skorpion it came with one included.
  19. If you like it, go for it...
  20. £4.50-8 to post one single hop bucking? Yeeeaaaah no thanks, Airsoft Zone.

Yh I have had the same frustration as you :/

  21. Discovered it through GunMart back in 1997 when they still had an airsoft section, and started off with a few schoolmates on a friend's farmland. Soon after, I discovered X-ring & airsoft.org then venturing out to one of the few sites that existed nearby at that time. Joined a team down in Sheffield a few years later & eventually here I am now...wondering if it's all still worth it!
  22. It closed down as Op-Tac, and got taken over by Skirmish. By all accounts it's much improved compared to the previous lot (Barring losing part of the site) and much safer than it was.
  23. Quick question: Does anyone know offhand what size the spade connectors for motors are?

If it is 2.8mm that's perfect. Can get them for 16p each in that case.

    3. Lozart

      Lozart

Component shop sell small ones for 16p a throw but they're not gold plated (although that's actually NOT an issue for motor connections BTW). They're 1/8" hence 2.8mm as SD said.
