  1. Magpul FDE is a match for either H-265 or H267 in cerakote dependent on the generation of the item in question. The closest filament i've found, and I use closest loosely is Tinmorry Glass Fibre PETG in Sand, whilst its way off actual FDE, it works as a brilliant base for paint as it is matte by default, where a lot of filaments are inherently shiny, so you don't need to fuck about sanding it prior to doing primer and/or paint.
  2. Had both the MS700 and later stupidly, when I could afford it the Ares MS338, externals were fantastic, the internals were dogshit. Main trigger sear in both examples snapped into pieces within 20 shots a piece, requiring extremely expensive aftermarket options just to do the bare minimum. Amoeba Honey Badger, that the stock ETU caught fire on its first use, and turned the gun into a lovely pile of beige plastic gloop. Round 2, when a local tech pulled the warranty replacement apart to remove the problematic ETU before plugging anything into it, discovered that the sector gear and bevel gear were made of clear plastic, on a £250 'premium' gun back in 2014. G36, which for some reason only known to the intelligent people at Ares, was shipped out with an M170 spring, resulting in a gearbox shell that was cracked at the front of the cylinder, such that when the gearbox was removed the front of the shell clean fell off. M320 GLM, where the primary receiver lugs for the hinge clean snapped off after 50 odd shells being reloaded. Tavor 21, first generation, plastic gears in a £370 gun. I have a much longer list, but that is why there is hate for Ares. They're like VFC AEG's, briliant externals (most of the time) but internals which need to be, most of the time, completely replaced OOTB.
  3. Place any money on it being £550 and £700 at a minimum.
  4. GM PMags basically have to be warmed up with the shell pushed out of the way, which isn't particularly practical.
  5. I doubt that it's changed much since 2019, but as of then, there were no reputable DG techs in the UK, period.
  6. I've bought BCG's from a variety of Asia sellers (Tiger111HK, RWA, WGC, AST to name a few), never entered anything other than my name/address and they just sail through customs.
  7. I've been trying to use them on WE, TM, GM, DE, KJW and WA mags, the fill is always equalising at equivalent to 6g fill, which at best is half a fill, at worst 1/5th of a fill.
  8. Don't buy the jaeger one, it doesn't work. I've had both metal and plastic variants, same problem. It gets too cold and doesn't fill. Bavtac do one which works regardless and is cheaper.
  9. Acro mount where? All I see there is RMR footprint - been on the hunt for the actual acro one for a year, at this rate i'll just cough up for the real reptilia ROF-90 BUIS are Magpul MBUS Pro according to the OG edgar brothers spec sheet, there are no decent clones, the closest i've seen are the ones that came with the first and second batches of DE N4's (ie prior to them stopping including the almost SL-K stock).
  10. At this point, its actually cheaper in the UK, sure enough the postage from proact is bonkers, so I will gladly admit i was very wrong there - which screams to me, consumer not business posting. So that'll be a fuck no from them, as KIC can post a bigger and heavier rifle from Taiwan for ~$56 insured with EMS, so why I got quoted $140 for EMS from proact makes no sense other than they do not have access to business posting - information that was freely obtainable by contacting Chungwha post direct, which I have done.
  11. Sometimes it'll sail through in hours, others you might wait weeks.
  12. £50 to fix a gun, i'd buy it on the spot had I not just spent a boat load of money fixing my computer and reserved other things.
  13. It's lunacy, but the polarstar crowd have always had a modicum of stupidity attached to any and all purchases .
  14. Cost tracks unfortunately, someone wants it with that particular kit in the UK, they're dropping a grand plus just on the kit imported.
  15. Better to just put the defence in the more info box just in case, you'd be towing the line at best.
