Yeah, it needs some armour against BB hits and maybe a cooler paint job, but how about it for looking round corners in CQB? Delivering pyros even... CaptainSwoop, Lord_Metile and Suzuki Yamamoto 3
CaptainSwoop Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 Centurion Airsoft have a Multi Rotor with a camera they use as a Drone on their site. Airsoft_Mr B 1
Suzuki Yamamoto Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 Custom paint job and it'll look very good indeed!

CaptainSwoop Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 Not been there while it is operating but I have seen the demo on their website. It is electric powered so not too noisy. Ian_Gere 1
Supporters M_P Posted May 7, 2014 Supporters Posted May 7, 2014 My local sight has a remote control car with ~9 remote dets & smokes on it and front and back cameras- really is awesome, I've not seen anything like it elsewhere. Airsoft_Mr B, TacMaster, Ian_Gere and 1 other 4
Suzuki Yamamoto Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 Dragons Lair use two RC cars kitted with claymore's when they run their CoD days. Much fun! CaptainSwoop, Ian_Gere and Happy 3
Happy Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 If it has a camera I'd say it's a valid target It is fun when sites add these little touches Ian_Gere and cropzy 2
Supporters Ian_Gere Posted May 7, 2014 Author Supporters Posted May 7, 2014 Yeah Happy, I agree: it's the enemy! I don't think it would be too difficult to armour most of it, but the turret on top lifts up to change the camera angle and the armature is a much more difficult proposition... Happy 1
Airsoft_Mr B Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 I'd really like to see these drones! I didn't think many sites have things like that.
Supporters jcheeseright Posted May 8, 2014 Supporters Posted May 8, 2014 armouring that against BBs would be a piece of piss I agree, even the armature that holds the camera up could be done relatively easily with a thick fabric skirt. bit of lexan to cover the lens and it'd be all but BB proof.
Supporters Ian_Gere Posted May 8, 2014 Author Supporters Posted May 8, 2014 ^^That's a good idea, James. I could recycle some dirty old DPM cordura in strips like a Roman leather armour skirt, but overlapping. CaptainSwoop 1
remus Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 only problem is knowing when its hit(if shot from outside of the camera angle. i rember seeing an airsoft sentry gun that had a target built in that when shot knocked it off for a certain time period...

You mean this sentry gun? I'd love to see this at certain sites. It would be even better if it was mobile and able to be controlled at a distance of up to 50 metres. Imagine the fun you could have!
Supporters Ian_Gere Posted May 9, 2014 Author Supporters Posted May 9, 2014 Yeah, and @only 3 grand a pop the fun would be endless!
