Lord_Metile Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 So today while skirmishing with my new gun, I went to chrono and it was only 305 fps. However, I stayed and saw some guy with some magpul £300 gun was shooting at 295 fps. It was a paintball chrono, is there a difference?
Supporters Lozart Posted May 31, 2014 Supporters Posted May 31, 2014 A chrono is a chrono is a chrono. That said, some makes differ than others (Madbull ones are kinda notorious for it). What makes you think it's wrong?
Lord_Metile Posted May 31, 2014 Author Posted May 31, 2014 Just most sites say it's 330 fps. It didn't seem right for most guns to be shooting 300 fps.
Supporters jcheeseright Posted May 31, 2014 Supporters Posted May 31, 2014 could be poorly calibrated, or it could be that all the guns were shooting 300fps ish, all of mine do.
Lord_Metile Posted May 31, 2014 Author Posted May 31, 2014 OK, thank you. It wasn't working too well at first.
dapprman Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Also could have been detuned with a lower strength spring due to previously being hot. Note - FPS does not necessarily equate to range and accuracy.
the_robbo Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Recently at The Asylum (First and Only) all of our guns read 50 fps lower than at any other site ever
BrightCandle Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Chrono's tend to produce their most accurate results when the battery is nice and fresh and the lighting is good.
Guest PT247 Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 it could also have been using 0.25BBs which would have given it an fps of around 330 on 0.2s
the_robbo Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 I definitely used 0.2s i think the chrono needed calibrating
