Airsoft_Mr B Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 Okay, so my dad bought this lot of webbing a couple weeks back. He thought he could make money on it... Supposedly there are some bits like this going for up to a tenner each on eBay and we have three or four bags / pouches. As you may see from the pics they have been extensively written on - I don't know if this something collectors would mind but it's going to drop the price a bit I imagine. So, could you help identify what these are specifically? Era / name / function / approximate worth? Please forgive my ignorance but it looks like there's a pattern 58 belt with a harness / yoke and three satchel or messenger type bags. Secondly, would anybody be interested in them? Offers welcome. If not I'll try selling them on eBay anyway. Thanks very much.
Russe11 Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 Looks like Pattern 58 Webbing. Era would be 1960's to 1980's. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-British-Army-58-Pattern-Webbing-Set-Falklands-/351081602539?pt=UK_Collectables_Militaria_LE&hash=item51be181deb as you can see, I could buy a complete set in better condition for under a tenner. Cheers Russell...knew it wouldn't be worth a lot. He paid a tenner for the whole lot as well :/
Russe11 Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 Best option would be to do a loadout to use it. Falklands, Aussie Vietnam, any small wars Britain was involved in from 1960-1985 or cold war generally. All you need is the SLR, good luck with that
ronin677 Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Defo 58 pattern. the bum rolls on this old webbing are great and I still use one on my current issue stuff
