Yawns Posted August 16, 2014 Author Posted August 16, 2014 I honestly know nothing about backpacks/rucksacks. I've been wanting one myself for ages, but I've no idea what features to look for or anything. There have got to be people on here who know more about gear than me, my knowledge is exceptionally limited. Fair play, I suppose I'll just have to hop in at the deep end. Wish me luck Will further my search in the morning, Super tired
team flex Posted August 16, 2014 Posted August 16, 2014 Hmmm look at some polarstar load out vids on YouTube. They all use hydration/small backpacks
Supporters jcheeseright Posted August 16, 2014 Supporters Posted August 16, 2014 A cheap tan backpack is gonna be hard to come by, however you can get them for a reasonable price; http://www.airsoftsupplydrop.co.uk/store/pantac-mbss-backpack.html That'll hold very thing you need, combine it with a mini mav with a triple shingle on the front and you're laughing.
Russe11 Posted August 16, 2014 Posted August 16, 2014 http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00DIXI2AG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I have one of these, very good for the money. Only gripe is the webbing strap belt is a bit short. Do not fear webbing. Webbing is your friend Tacticool vests, plate carriers etc. are more customisable but webbing can be customised a fair bit too. The difference is that webbing doesn't get as hot when you run around. I have a molle tactical vest, I much prefer webbing. Once you have it adjusted to fit you, it's much more comfortable. That said, a battle belt and Yoke is webbing, you have been tricked! Muahaha etc. Yawns 1
airsoftwarrior147 Posted August 16, 2014 Posted August 16, 2014 Jcheese arnt the mbss molle attached? At least all ie seen are anyway. You could have the looks at the likes of http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B005MYAYNC?pc_redir=1408095646&robot_redir=1 There's this one aswell but it's expensive and out of stock http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/airsoft/Combat_Gear_Hydration_Backpacks_Bottle_Pantac_Molle_Rattlesnake_Hydration_Backpack_Cordura_Khaki.htm
Airsoft_Mr B Posted August 16, 2014 Posted August 16, 2014 If you're still interested in a belt rig I'm not sure of anywhere you can buy the Condor ones...there's this as an alternative but it's a bit more expensive. http://www.tactical-kit.co.uk/blackhawk-enhanced-molle-padded-patrol-belt-41pb-7011-p.asp
Russe11 Posted August 16, 2014 Posted August 16, 2014 They may have molle, but if it's a belt with supporting shoulder straps, that makes it webbing. I think I may have had some sort of point to make, that webbing doesn't always mean uncomfortable ill fitting, rubbing stuff?

airsoftwarrior147 Posted August 16, 2014 Posted August 16, 2014 Yeah I saw after I carried on looking actually , but I'm on my phone so can't edit
Yawns Posted August 17, 2014 Author Posted August 17, 2014 Wait, Which one do I want for M4 mags? This: http://www.tactical-kit.co.uk/tactical-tailor-556-triple-mag-panel-20rd-10039-6495-p.asp Or This: http://www.tactical-kit.co.uk/tactical-tailor-556-triple-mag-panel-30rd-10037-1742-p.asp One is shorter than the other, Didn't know by pictures alone which fits in which
airsoftwarrior147 Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 First one looks to have pmag "vn" style mags in, but I'm are the elastic would stretch to proper sized mags.
Mr Monkey Nuts Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 Something to bare in mind with the Mini Mav is that although it has a small footprint, its still designed for adults, and 'murican adults at that. If it does adjust to your child size then you will have a LOT of leftover straps dangling flapping and getting in the way. And although the mav is a very good bit of kit, it lacks the refinement of many others, the straps are simply straps, if you load it up heavily they do dig in, and they do have a habit of riding up with a good tug. I think you will struggle to find reasonably priced water bottle holders, and if you do they will be very bulky to have on your chest. The current fashion are for camelbacks which again is excessive for a 40 min airsoft game. I like to keep about 1500 bbs in a zipable baggy, rolled and tied with an elastic band in my thigh pocket. If you have bbs jingling in a bottle you may as well carry an air horn and neon sign telling everyone where you are. For two mags, a chest rig seems excessive personally, even a Mini Mav. I have had a lot of success with two fast mags on my trouser belt at my left hip. You can get them for about £15 delivered from ebay. Backpacks can be had on ebay for <£20, but quality is hit and miss. you will be looking at spending over £100 for a decent one, but if you look after a cheep Chinese clone it could serve you well. If i'm honest a belt kit does sound exactly like what you need. Just my 2c And yes its the tall, 30rd one you need.
Yawns Posted August 17, 2014 Author Posted August 17, 2014 Okay. Fair enough. I'll cave. Are there any TAN belt rigs that don't need dungaree-like straps to stay on? Like attachable to my trousers or similar. Still getting a backpack though.
TacMaster Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 The MAV's shape is held better if you have a triple mag pouch/3 singles on the front. I have a single and a double open topped pouch with my Admin panel on the front keeping them rigid, and the panel's pouch is also good for speed loaders. I also wear a camelback with a 3L bladder which lasts me all day. I think you'd be much happier if you used a yoke on a belt rig as it distributes the weight of mags, water bottles etc between your hips and your shoulders. The battle belts have a tendency to slip down without them. I don't think there are any battle belts/belt rigs designed to be attached to trousers, as users would generally want something that can be taken off quickly without fiddling around with their trousers.
Supporters jcheeseright Posted August 17, 2014 Supporters Posted August 17, 2014 normally you won't catch me recommending this sort of thing... but it seems it's gonna fit your requirements more or less perfectly: http://www.ebairsoft.com/dmittsu-chest-p-7221.html that'll carry EVERYTHING you need, and it's less than £30
TacMaster Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 ^^That's fine for the job, albeit a little shiny Some spray paint/wear & dirt will sort it though
edrat Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 Picked up a surplus load carrying vest thing for £15 at Headcorn Combined Ops yesterday. Various deals to be had. Wasn't on the look out for anything like it, but once I got the vendor to £15 it was too good to miss... Has been used but it's in excellent nick, and the difference between it and the cheap chinese new copies is pretty noticeable
Yawns Posted August 17, 2014 Author Posted August 17, 2014 Okay, With a yoke then. I just need a cheap tan battle belt with a yoke ;(
Supporters Lozart Posted August 18, 2014 Supporters Posted August 18, 2014 I'm also going to be buying the exact same rig as well as a WAS DCS plate carrier and was looking for a battle belt to go with them both. I can't find Condor battle belts anywhere (in any colour), but I found a Bulldog one which includes a yoke too for ~ £35 or so (ukmcpro) If you want taco pouches then there are Warrior ones, wouldn't recommend ACM clone tacos because they don't hold the magazines very securely. Tactical Tailor stuff can be bought on eHobby Asia as well, so it's a bit cheaper but a lot longer wait. The shades of CB / OD etc vary depending on manufacturers so it's best to buy all the same brand. I bought my Condor Gen 2 Battle Belt from a US seller on ebay. Cheaper than UK retail but it took a while to get here. UKTactical are selling the Warrior PLB as a combo with a low profile harness for £63. Where I got my battle belt: http://stores.ebay.co.uk/C-T-Military-Surplus/Molle-Gear-/_i.html?_nkw=battle+belt&submit=Search&_fsub=386501015&_sid=93345705 Airsoft_Mr B 1
