Steelrain Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 Can anyone advise me on the best bb weight and propellant to use with a WE G26. I got one on the way. Also what do I need for maintenance, Cheers all. Monty 1
DEDSEC Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 I run mostly all my gas blowback pistols on WE 3.0 Nurpol gas and 0.25g bb's. There are ample amounts of videos on YouTube on how to properly maintain a GBB. Might be easier seeing somone do it rather than someone explaining it through text. Airsoft_Mr B and Monty 2
Supporters Monty Posted November 5, 2014 Supporters Posted November 5, 2014 .25g's work best for me, same with propane. For maintenance, a little bit of silicone oil on the firing mechanism should do just fine. Gbb pistols don't require massive amounts of maintenance. Airsoft_Mr B 1
Airsoft_Mr B Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 I'm currently using 0.20s but best would be 0.25s. WE Nuprol is supposed to be good, but I can't really say which is best since I've only used one gas which is the WE Europe Premium Green Gas. For maintenance we got some WE maintenance gas and Abbey silicone oil (in a dropper bottle) it should tell you where to put it in the manual but we put some on the gas valve of the mag (I think one) and one drop on the gas router (rectangular thing on the top of the mag) Maintenance gas - says you should use it once every ten mags, just put a bit in with whatever little bit of normal gas is still left. Guy at the shop said after you use it though.
Steelrain Posted November 6, 2014 Author Posted November 6, 2014 .25g's work best for me, same with propane. Does this come in a can the same as other gasses? I'll check up on YouTube for some vids on maintenance. Where do you guys buy your stuff from our do you use one place for bb's another for gas etc?
Steelrain Posted November 6, 2014 Author Posted November 6, 2014 Looks like I dunno how to quote with my phone... Monty mentioned propane...
Supporters Monty Posted November 6, 2014 Supporters Posted November 6, 2014 Does this come in a can the same as other gasses? Yes http://www.patrolbase.co.uk/gas-and-lubrication/coleman-propane-fuel-465g.htm#.VFsn4PmsWSo You'll need to buy an adapter, which simply screws on. http://www.patrolbase.co.uk/airsoft/airosft-innovations-propane-adaptor-kit.htm#.VFsnzvmsWSo
Steelrain Posted November 6, 2014 Author Posted November 6, 2014 Nice, are any in particular classed "cleaner" or better for the pistol ?
Steelrain Posted November 6, 2014 Author Posted November 6, 2014 Just followed the link and you can get propane plus adapters for 23.99, me likey likey!
Airsoft_Mr B Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 I use Patrol Base for my gas and BBs since I'm local, and they do have some of the best prices on gas and things. I'm not sure what postage costs are like though, but service should be good since they use Interlink Express IIRC.
Steelrain Posted November 6, 2014 Author Posted November 6, 2014 Yeah I looked on patrolbase and may try nuprol 2.0 then propane to compare, their prices do seem pretty good. So what about bb's...what's generally a good make to go for?
Supporters Monty Posted November 6, 2014 Supporters Posted November 6, 2014 So what about bb's...what's generally a good make to go for? ASG Blasters, Devil Blasters, Proball bio's, Green devil bio's and Excels are excellent BB's.

Steelrain Posted November 6, 2014 Author Posted November 6, 2014 Yep, in the long run, propane will save you a bit more money compared to just using other gasses. Is it consistent with fps?
team flex Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 Yes, green gas us just propane with some lubricant. Every now and again apparently you should run a mag through, but not too much..
