mariecolette Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 HELP. My partner is massively in to airsoft and has mentioned in the past that he wants a rubber knife. I want to get him one for Christmas- but have no clue which one is the best to get? If anyone can help I would appreciate it massively!
Supporters Monty Posted December 2, 2014 Supporters Posted December 2, 2014 They're all the same, however this is the most popular http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PLASTIC-M9-BAYONET-BLACK-AIRSOFT-PAINTBALL-KGEAR-BAYONET-/121388722826?pt=UK_SportingGoods_OtherSports&hash=item1c4354ea8a can be mounted onto a belt as well. Airsoft_Mr B Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 I think they are all very similar in quality and everything. There are just different designs. I would recommend these ... http://www.airsoftpeak.com/army-6019-plastic-knife-training-black-p-14336.html http://www.airsoftpeak.com/army-6014-plastic-knife-training-black-p-14334.html But I guess they won't come for Christmas? I've ordered from them before, very good, first order seemed like only a week or two, then the others took about a month - as you'd expect from Asia This one on the other hand is from Huddersfield store Patrol Base. It's my local shop and I can recommend it. http://www.patrolbase.co.uk/airsoft-external-parts/ley-industrial-m9-military-combat-training-knife-rubber-blade.htm#.VH4d9DGsXWg Monty 1
Chock Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 Dunno which is 'the best', but I have one of these (the black one in the middle): http://ant-supplies.co.uk/Pages/RubberAirsoftBayonets.aspx That type acts as a knife and also fits onto an M4 rifle as a bayonet, and it's quite likely that he has an M4, since the M4 is by far the most popular airsoft rifle. hope that helps
Airsoft_Mr B Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 Looks like Ant-Supplies is the best place to buy it from, Patrol Base delivery will be like £4-£5 I bet. mariecolette 1

TheGrover Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 Cold Steel Training Knives I thought they (or at least some of them) had hard rods in them which werent allowed on some game sites, or am i mistaken? Airsoft_Mr B 1
Happy Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 I thought they (or at least some of them) had hard rods in them which werent allowed on some game sites, or am i mistaken?Depends on the site you're at mate. Some allow them others don't.
mariecolette Posted December 2, 2014 Author Posted December 2, 2014 I didnt know there were so many.Ive only seen the cold steel ones.
Baz JJ Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 News to me. The three I have are blunt and broad edged. About as dangerous as a piece of 2x4. Most sites say you can only tap with the flat edge any way. I thought they (or at least some of them) had hard rods in them which werent allowed on some game sites, or am i mistaken? two_zero Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 Cold Steel Training Knives no. unless I am mistaken they are plastic/polymer hence limits the use and ups the risk of actual damage.

Baz JJ Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 I didn't know about the Mall - never played there - never likely to. The OP has got her present so problem sorted. Out of interest, Ive got one of the knives linked to. Of course, they are bendy plastic not rubber. The silly thing is that you would struggle to hurt anybody with a Cold Steel knife, You would break a rib or give them blunt instrument trauma before penetrating the skin. Have you actually seen one close up ? The above linked knives have a nasty point on them, Could do a lot more damage if you held the blade rather than the hilt. They also never look straight because the blade plastic is bendy along its length. Jedi_Master and Ian_Gere 2
