Greetings from Berkshire

Hi all...

Been lurking around the forums for a month or two now. Thought it would be best to drop a quick hello to all.

 

Found the information on the forum brilliant thus far.. as using the search feature a hell of a lot which I hope everyone will be pleased to hear.

 

I have been to 2 skirmish's at Xsite & Absolute Airsoft, both different but a great experience all the same. Having decided it is a hobby I now want to peruse its the waiting game so I can get a UKARA (Apologies if that's not correct) membership, and hopefully play a game or two with weapon that doesn't consistently jam or just totally breaks.

 

Look forward to meeting & playing some of the forum members in the coming months.

Welcome, nice to see another local (ish). Really, I recommend trying out The Mall in Reading; you won't find much better around here.

I've been debating with going to the Mall, however after a conversation with one of the guys at Absolute he explained its pitch black in some parts so would need a torch. Hence holding fire until I get my membership and my own gun.

 

Do you think a torch is needed? or should I just go and just use one of the Hire guns?

a hire gun would be more effective than using a torch - soz couldn't resist

 

don't go too nutz on buying up a mofo torch if you not got your own gun just yet

a cheapo torch just to find ya way from from some dark basement could be wise

but if ya want dark - pah go to epsom tunnels and see what dark is really all about

A torch would certainly be advisable! Just a cheap one will work for a kick off though.

Relatively new myself. I went to the Mall for the first time about a month ago. It's a great site and the marshals are really nice. I took a little keyring torch with me which was enough to get me out of trouble when I found myself lost and in the dark. In most places you won't need it. The Mall is very popular and I found I had to book a week or so in advance. Usually I don't usually decide to play until a few days before the weekend due to family commitments.

 

Their rentals are G36c rifles from what I saw.

I guess I'm a regular. I know I'm going on the 24th; and the 17th is sorta a show off thing I believe, so the games aren't running fully that day. If you want to come on the 24th I'll show you around.

Deffo on booking in advance, especially lately. Their guns are all G36s, and they have full load outs available too.

@aunty pasty - thanks for the advise I've got a small maglite which ill dig out and use.

Malls a good site hoping to be there for the 24th myself. A cheap small torch is all you need something you can tape on the end of the gun. Cant recommend the place enough, unique environment, marshals are all good people and the regular players are always friendly and willing to help out new players to the site. And theres a soft play area with a slide if you get bored.
