Guest RektnNekt Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Well, this started out as a question but a little early morning DIY has fixed it temporarily. The problem was that the replacement barrel had no hex screw openings, meaning I couldn't fit the hex screws back into place to hold the delta ring and the bracket. The two barrels are shows below in the linked images. Without those screws, the delta ring and bracket just eventually pop out of place. So, in order to stop it, I've put some tape just before the bracket, and put more tape just after the bracket (so it can't move). This has stopped the delta ring from pushing it forward and out of place, thus allowing the handguard to stay in place. Obviously, it looks a little ridiculous with white tape (it is paper tape, i couldn't find electrical tape), but I am going to cut it down so it isn't noticeable. Obviously, what I've just said above is a quick DIY fix. Surely there is a proper way in which this is meant to be secured, so if anyone knows it, then I'd appreciate the answer. This seems to work for now though. Pictures to show the differences: http://imgur.com/ZJYBmGh http://imgur.com/a/6cKmy http://imgur.com/AUWZuKR Here is that incredible DIY work. Obviously, the tape will be trimmed down but this seems to secure it: http://imgur.com/XmczjYd
