ironscouse Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Alright guys, bought a mp5 on here its a good starter weapon but it jams on full auto occasionally, any ideas on how to fix this? Haven't taken it apart yet to check the gearbox to check that's the plan tomorrow evening, just thought id ask for some advice before i dismantled it
RR01 Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 When you say it jambs, do you mean that the BBs jamb in the mag or hop, or that the gearbox seizes up?
ironscouse Posted August 27, 2015 Author Posted August 27, 2015 Nah man, in semi auto it just switches to full auto and dont stop for about 10-15 rounds
ironscouse Posted August 27, 2015 Author Posted August 27, 2015 No it's not, sometimes if i give it a squeeze again it stops
Matto2494 Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 I say its nakered and you should of bought what your mate has
Matto2494 Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Full auto issue or not feeding issue. Not sure which is better
ironscouse Posted August 27, 2015 Author Posted August 27, 2015 I know right, yours is probably an easy fix, mines probably spend hours stripping the gearbox to see if i can see anything
Supporters Lozart Posted August 27, 2015 Supporters Posted August 27, 2015 Sounds like the trigger contacts are screwed. Easy fix, cheap parts. Esoterick and ImTriggerHappy 2
Supporters ImTriggerHappy Posted August 27, 2015 Supporters Posted August 27, 2015 Just buy a new switch assembly. If that doesnt work buy an Ics mp5.
Supporters ImTriggerHappy Posted August 28, 2015 Supporters Posted August 28, 2015 Trigger switch assemblies are usually about 10 to 20 pound, not sure exact cost or best place to get G&G spares from as I dont like G&G so never look. Google it should be easy enough to find.
Supporters Lozart Posted August 28, 2015 Supporters Posted August 28, 2015 How much we talking on ether fix? Trigger switch assemblies are usually about 10 to 20 pound, not sure exact cost or best place to get G&G spares from as I dont like G&G so never look. Google it should be easy enough to find. You should be able to use a standard V2 switch assembly. Try www.ak2m4.co.uk
n1ckh Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 If your any good at soldering then I'd suggest get the trigger contact & solder on 16 gauge silicone wire as the low resistance silver "upgrade" wire heats up, melts together & shorts out (at least it did in my case)
Supporters Sitting Duck Posted August 28, 2015 Supporters Posted August 28, 2015 pre soldered ones for £9 so just over a tenner posted and no soldering iron needed perhaps http://www.ak2m4.co.uk/internal-parts/trigger-switches/zci-trigger-switch-v2-front http://www.ak2m4.co.uk/zci-trigger-switch-v2-rear now depending on where ya battery is fitted - me "thinks" you are looking at maybe front wired perhaps ?? worth getting one, it could be a sticky or tight switch contacts not releasing but for a tenner get one and if needed just replace with better wiring all supplied ready to go £9 - bargain !!!!
