Dizzilad Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 Thing is we all sometimes have a moan about this n that from time to time.......... but without the newer members - often making same noobie mistakes/posts we all did This place can get a bit quiet tbh Its a good mix on here - sometimes I feel we are too noob friendly but we all had to start somewhere I used to be a trainee noob but now feel I had gained a little wisdom so that I can call myself an apprentice noob instead As long as we don't have so many ukara/vcra wars like what we have had on occasions - noob on chaps no I'm not assuming all FB people joining up are noobs - referring to them as "new members" I should be (ah bollox - sometimes I can't be ar$ed to tip toe around being politically correct n crap - noobs it is) Actually excuse the typo's about me - I'm not a noob - I'm a nob I initially joined this forum a week or so ago to ask about people's experience's with warrior and disciple kit (I'm still serving and needed new belt kit). I decided to look around and see what the attraction was with airsoft and it certainly appealed to me, now I have a rifle and ive bought all the kit I need to start. Luckily I'm the type of person that reads the stickies and I know how the search function works haha. It's after joining here that I found the various fb groups concerning airsoft and milsim. Best thing I've noticed about this forum is it really is a fountain of knowledge and everything is easy to find. Being noob friendly is always going to be good for the forum just may require a little extra moderation for the people that havnt done the cadre on the search function. Hef Legend Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 Can an airsofter illegally obtain a RIF? Technically no, but not everyone looking to buy a RIF *IS* an airsofter, or a skirmisher able to provide UKARA or site membership, Hell....some of the people on FB don't even use them for airsoft. Hef Legend Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 What other use is there, film and crime? Crime, flashing them in public, hurting animals etc Film I think is actually a suitable defence if it can be proved
Sacarathe Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 Crime, flashing them in public, hurting animals etc Film I think is actually a suitable defence if it can be proved I would never shoot an animal with a non lethal 'gun'. Hef Legend 1
Supporters Sitting Duck Posted March 6, 2016 Supporters Posted March 6, 2016 What other use is there, film and crime? and the popular "being an ego dick head" showing it off in public to ya m8's coz they not got maturity or responsibility or respect for out sport/hobby/toy guns Spiteful to wildlife - kind of crime and/or being a dick covers it I guess As well as a poor attitude - again being a dick thinking with little logic/common sense "it's my gun I can do what I want with my airsoft gun" crap.... Luckily there was some good sites of FB that did try to monitor and kept reminding people about age/defense etc..... And in the same style all we can do is remind people selling to try and carry out a few checks please in accordance with the law soz - you guys already covered what I was saying already - just trying to protect our peew peew peew's really Hef Legend and Sacarathe 2
Jambo88 Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 As long as no one starts using the forum like facebook who cares. Anyone caught posting pics of there dinner, kids or selfies should be shot. Jedi_Master, ImTriggerHappy and djben9 3

Anyone caught posting pics of there dinner, kids or selfies should be shot. What about all the people on here who dress up in all their gear and then take selfies?I personally think thats sadder than Facebook selfies. I have never not even once put all my kit on at home let alone felt the need to take a picture. Why do so many people think the world needs another picture of a geeky 18yr old or a fat 40yr old stood in their lounge wearing pretend army clothes? I did do one gun pic but that was a bit of a joke about the fact I ran round the meet up armed with a squeaky pig and party poppers. Even that made me feel a bit of a saddo. Give everybody a hint if you look like where's wally or a fat bearded dungeon and dragons player putting on camo really doesn't help. Lets ban all selfies.

That said, it was nice to keep an eye on the classifieds, I already considered removing them from my new content filter, but I felt it could just go to the dogs if everyone did this. Resulting in it needing to be closed because the normal forum members were unable to appreciate it and the moderators frankly didn't want to.
Sacarathe Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 (edited) Fack it, I gone doned it, sorry Okto, you didnt make the cut either (list was too long to find you)! But my new content feed looks like it did two weeks ago, but my head is now firmly buried in sand. EDIT: The forum is back to normal! I hadn't realised how different it was the last few days. DOWN WITH* CLASSIFIEDS BURN IT WITH FIRE, RAWR!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *Kidding. Edited March 6, 2016 by Sacarathe
Supporters ImTriggerHappy Posted March 6, 2016 Author Supporters Posted March 6, 2016 Nope I like the classifieds and dont really want to edit out but might have to. It has got a bit much which is a shame because I liked the simplicity of all new stuff in one click.

One of the airsoft pages I'm on has tons of photos on a Friday night/ Saturday saying ready for Sunday and they are fully dressed in camo Inc eye pro . I enjoy the game but I don't want people I work with such as managers knowing I dress as action man and jump about the woods with a toy gun. They wouldnt let me out the secure unit. DX115FALCON 1

I enjoy the game but I don't want people I work with such as managers knowing I dress as action man and jump about the woods with a toy gun. They wouldnt let me out the secure unit. I tried to keep it apart by using a alias based facebook account and that worked for a year. Then facebook decided they would crack down on accounts not using their real name and started requiring government documentation to prove my name was Bright Candle. Its a real pain, I only really use facebook for Okto milsim and airsoft related stuff anyway but due to its incredibly poor ability to set privacy and keep the worlds apart its not worth it to me.

Once I work out how to take a decent self portrait with my SLR camera, due to lens shake when my arms are outstretched, have sent off the 35mm film to get it developed by Kodak, then selected the best 6x4 photograph, I will need some advice on how to scan it into my computer and attach it to a post. Maybe that is why we never took selfies... much better to snap other people, and there were some great polaroids in magazines

Supporters Qlimax Posted March 9, 2016 Supporters Posted March 9, 2016 I for one am glad Facebook are starting to ban sales on there, the way they’ve gone about it is shite like but glad none the less. I found on Facebook there’s far more scam artist on their than the forums. Although forums aren’t free of them I personally think there seems to be less.

The scams will just come on here and the quality of the site will go down if there is a minimum post count.
