AirsoftgoesAli Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 I've got an ASG Aug coming in with an FPS of 394 will I have to cut the spring and if so how much to bring to 350? Or will I have to buy a new spring and if so what kind and where should I buy it from? Thank you
Bloodless2010 Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 I know you can cut off pieces of the spring to reduce the fps, but that seems like a big difference, I would recommend checking out this spring chart for a rough estimate of the FPS, http://www.airsoftcanada.com/SpringChart.php But personally, I'd suggest getting the gun chrono'd first, a friend of mine has a gun that was listed as 330, 'tested' at 350 before being dispatched, and then came in at 390 on the field!
Guest PT247 Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 I'd get a new spring rather than try and drop 50fps by chopping that one..... or lock it to semi until the spring softens!
