Skullchewer Posted March 15, 2022 Posted March 15, 2022 So, my friend has recently come into possession of some old guns. They've been sat around for at least 7 years doing nothing, and their previous owner has given them to him as he's now getting into airsoft. One is clearly a Tokyo Marui AK. But we would like more details if possible, including the wiring question. The other seems to be Glock clone, and after a little detective work I believe it may be a KWA. But I'm coming to you, smarter, more experienced, devastatingly handsome people, to see if you can give us any more information on these RIFs. So take a look, please, and let me know what you think.
Guest Posted March 15, 2022 Posted March 15, 2022 Take the slide of the Glock. KWA have a unique hammer assembly, The bb ramp does look like a KWA though
BigStew Posted March 15, 2022 Posted March 15, 2022 (edited) Glock is a KWA don't know of any other company that copied the KSC/KWA NS2/System 7 design. the KSC/KWA are really well made guns let down by a poor hop. you only really see them these days sold rebranded as ASG but parts are still available. Regards the AK from it's outer condition it's just a Tokyo Marui AK47 full stock design from the late 90s( still in production). the moulding on the body says ASGK that's a Japanese industry regulatory body( fancy having one of those). that follows on that the glock is a Taiwanese KWA as if it were KSC it would have the ASGK marking for the Japanese market puts it mid 2000s when glock was getting arsy about trades. the wiring loom is bog standard from back in the day nothing to stopping you putting new connectors. the fuse box is just big enough for the connectors to hold the same type of fuse you get in a house hold plug. will run fine on a 7.4 lipo no problem. Perfect, thanks dude!
John_W Posted March 17, 2022 Posted March 17, 2022 The Glock is a KSC/KWA. They were the only manufacturer who did those nice sliding mag plates that covered the gas valve. As above, AK is standard Marui.
