concretesnail Posted September 25, 2022 Posted September 25, 2022 The surface mounted switch, circled in red, what is it called? It has failed and need a replacement. Ive swaped out the etu for another for the moment but for a quick bit of soldering if i can find the part this one will work again too.
ak2m4 Posted September 25, 2022 Posted September 25, 2022 Mini slide switch or micro toggle switch. You'll need to know how many pins it is, my guess is 4-pin. I've got some on their way to me, not for the g&g but for another etu but they look similar in size. You're welcome to one of them when they arrive.

Thank you, I'm sure they are four pin, I'll check and get a measurement at the same time. ak2m4 1

In case you're not aware - those look like surface mount components so you'll need to make sure you have a very fine point on your soldering iron and that you have temperature control on it!

I do, I build a lot of fpv drones so fine soldering isn't an issue, more finding the the parts is the hard work. Lozart and Rogerborg 2

Wouldn't a soldering gun work better? One of those hot air blasters, just got one myself but not had a chance to try it out. Edited September 26, 2022 by ak2m4

If you could get all the solder off and use solder paste to put the new one on then maybe but I doubt you'd be able to do it without either detaching other components or cooking the PCB. Rogerborg 1
