We glock 19 gen 5mod question

Hi,

 

can anyone give me advice on upgraded parts for a gen 5 glock 19.

 

im looking up upgrade to Guarder or Cowcow blow back housing, loading nosel, trigger and a few other bits.

 

will the Guarder parts for a TM gen 4 fit??

I think this was asked a few weeks ago for a glock 17 and the consensus was that the main differences are cosmetic and internals should fit but i could be wrong

TM Glock Parts generally won’t fit a WE Glock well.

Some might work, some might not. The MOS WE’s have completely different BBU’s, nozzles, mag routers for example

I’m sure iv read that the majority do fit as WE are direct clones of TM.

 

Do you  know if any companies that make upgraded parts for we?

WE aren’t exact clones. The nozzles and BBU’s are slightly different depending upon model and year, along with the nozzle seal, mags are slightly different (the biggest  difference being the gas router and valves. Flat gas routers on WE that isn’t MOS (TM are curved) and totally different shape on MOS guns)

 

The springs are different to take account of the extra slide weight, hammers and hammer wheels can be different again depending upon model and year, hammer frame and trigger frame are slightly different.
Hop unit is a slightly different shape. Interestingly the golden Maple Leaf hop unit that says it’s TM spec is actually WE spec and will negatively affect the performance of a TM, but drastically improve the performance of a WE).

Trigger bars are different, as are sears, neither are cross compatible.

 

G18 BBU is very different between the two pistols 

 

Outer barrels are a different shape and are not reliably cross-compatible as the hop unit fits differently (competley re-designed  on the latest model TM’s)

 

As for aftermarket spares for the WE, Guarder make some, as stated the older design Hop Unit from ML is a food fit in a WE.
