_K4MF_ Posted January 17, 2024 Posted January 17, 2024 (edited) Hiya! Is it possible, or has anyone had any joy charging a 7.2v AEP battery, using chargers like the Imax B6AC (as below)? Trying to find a charger for the AEP batteries that looks a bit less dodgy than the ones from America, and I have the B6AC for my other batteries, I can only assume there's a way to do it. Advice appreciated, cheers! *****EDIT***** https://www.zerooneairsoft.com/products/Tokyo-Marui-Charging-Adaptor-for-AEP-Battery I think I just answered my own question... EDcase Posted January 17, 2024 Posted January 17, 2024 Or if you have one of those variable power supplies which come with various plugs and you can solder then make your own... _K4MF_ 1

This looks like I'd blow my arm off if I switched the plug on.... Not sure I can be trusted.
EDcase Posted January 17, 2024 Posted January 17, 2024 ? You just have to get the polarity right but up to you. _K4MF_ 1
Impulse Posted January 17, 2024 Posted January 17, 2024 Out of stock, but... https://www.socomtactical.net/jg-aep-battery-charger-adapter/ https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/ipower-charger-adapter-for-lipo-aep-batteries I have the top one and also a version of the lower one that a friend sorted for me. Works great. _K4MF_ 1
Sewdhull Posted January 17, 2024 Posted January 17, 2024 use the croc clips touching the contacts and an elastic band to hold it on, a hair band works too. Rogerborg 1

Sewdhull Posted January 17, 2024 Posted January 17, 2024 I dunno that the contacts are magnetic, but if they are, that's a good shout
Pseudotectonic Posted January 20, 2024 Posted January 20, 2024 @EDcase just an observation, that solder joint in the picture is a cold joint and might break or overheat (due to poor conductivity) And yes you can charge an AEP 7.2 V battery, just charge it with NiMH settings (or whatever chemistry it is) _K4MF_ 1
