Sig air Green gas pistol serial number

HI I've recently purchased a sig air pistol and it appears that the serial number has been removed. Is this standard practice for SIG AIR pistol supply to the UK. Just want to check i'm not buying a dudd. (All models ive looked at on the internet have serial numbers)

It's possible an unlicensed trade was removed.

Sig air are licensed replicas, so the serial number should be present, as per their own website.

I brought one from HPA-U.K, that one had the serial number plate missing. I asked why, never got an answer. Had to return it as the pistol would fire when you put the mag in, without the trigger being pulled I must add.
