I guess it depends on what "look" you want to go for and how much time/effort/money you want to expend. There are some fantastically detailed and probably quite time consuming and pricey camo schemes, and they're very impressive, but I wanted a realistic look and so I tried to go for a spray camo that would be applied by a unit on operations. 4 different colours of krylon ans some leave to mask and about an hour in the garden left me with this. For a sniper weapon, how you "scrim" it is far more important, Monty makes a very good point, quick and simple, Good luck!

Green gas is propane so using propane will save you some money straight off. It's natural, gas's pressure is temperature dependant so as the weather changes etc the power output will change.

To be honest you're young and have just started airsoft, you've got plenty of time left! You'd likely be better off with getting a better aeg etc first- your enthusiasm is good don't get me wrong, but if you go out and spend what will end up being thousands having only played for 6 months then you'll have nothing left to look forward to. You don't need to buy the best and most expensive stuff to have a good time.

They have excellent customer service if you're in Japan. But their official level of support for the rest of the world is zero, nothing, nada. The reason they're still so highly regarded is because by and large their shit doesn't need repairs.

FPS will depend upon the following factors: Gas pressure (depends on the temperature) Release valve: Stronger spring means it will depress less lowering fps, it may also be stiffer at the beginning of the day. Keep it well lubed. Hammer/firing pin or whatever you want to call it: Keep it well lubed as how hard it hits the release valve will also affect fps. I am fortunate in that my gas powered SMLE is bolt action and therefore a lot simpler, but it was very inconsistent out of the box. In fact it was so inconsistent that sometimes it wouldn't shoot if it was too warm as the gas pressure would prevent the firing pin from depressing the release valve enough. The solution was to add washers to the spring on the firing pin so that the release valve is hit much harder. This increases the fps and at the same time makes for greater consistency.

I use a 18L water cooler bottle. I had £600 in it last year and it was only about 2" full.

It's not a real one, just a really high quality replica. Functions nearly the same as a real one (slightly lower power lasers), IR/Visible Lasers and a Laser powered focusable IR illuminator. I'd love a real one, but the cheapest I've ever seen one is $1400, which is a little excessive I'll do a side-by-side comparison with the VFC when it gets here.

Spray the L96 over with OD krylon and wrap some skrim netting around it, should work a treat.

Actually - if it was a bricks and mortar (or indeed online) store that wanted an opinion I'd have more respect for them posting something in their own name than hiding behind an alias. People are more than happy to tell people what they really think of them online so there's no real need to hide behind a fake name "to get honest answers".

2000 people would mean they've made £170,000 from entry fees alone, that's immense. I wonder how much of that they need to actually run the event. They'll probably make that much again at least from everyone who goes as well, buying a new gun, some spare parts, some accessories, ammo/gas, repairs, or even food and drink. Mental money, wish I could host a gigantic annual airsoft event lol.
