  1. Data migration is complete and - short of some tweaking and assuming no unexpected surprises - the new forums will go live during the weekend. No data from this point onward will be moved so any posts made during the next day or two will be lost. Unfortunately the images and attachments are refusing to migrate. There's possible a workaround on this but so as to not delay migration any further for now no images will be moved. All accounts, posts, threads and personal messages have been migrated successfully. Once the new forums are live this weekend you will be able to log in as usual.

    AR10 and AR15 mags

Assuming an adapter even works, do you really want to run AR15 mags in an AR10? That's going to look weird. Seems to me like it will just add an unnecessary extra potential failure point. Buy the right mags or sell the RIF imo. Anything else is just going to result in headaches and frustration.

  9. It is far from being crazy. They are badly designed, badly manufactured and badly assembled, with poor quality parts. I have had a number of them over the years and am now down to two and only keep those because I cannot get those two guns from any other manufacturer.

  12. I may be wrong but if it's the same as this (Looks the same to me?): https://www.kyairsoft.com/uk-we-f229-gbb-pistol-bk-with-rail.html Thanks to KY's new London warehouse, the same pistol with second mag and shipping is only £104.41 for a brand new one

  13. Are we sure it's not a "custom battle-worn finish"? Although I'd have expected that to be mentioned in the blurb. Also £135 for a 2nd hand WE with a spare mag looking like that..... are the marks residue of whatever the seller was sniffing when they came up with that price?

  14. I'm glad I'm not the only one that thought that. Seen a few of his adverts and been wondering just what kind of racks he's been storing them on!

  16. I've had a couple of days off work & the site has pretty much been down so my idle hands have been busy...ish. Got a selection of Virtus recently and set up some manequins with some of my kit. Pattern 58, PLCE & 'desert' been set up for a while, had the Osprey mk4 for a couple of years & the Virtus the past couple of weeks... The Osprey mk4 is 2 diff setups, one lighter for ingame (the one time I used it) & the second set up in full with cumberbunds, shoulder guards, brassards & full collar. p.s. in true L85A1 style the mag fell out as I was about to take the pic.

  17. Another basically new (But used 4 or 5 times) overpriced listing woo https://www.usedairsoft.co.uk/rif-s/electric-powered/jgdouble-eagle-g36c_i90596 Modified to have longer range but no details of these magical upgrades at all... two magazines yet no info on the magazine type, but it's been "fully serviced professionally shimmed hop up rubber upgraded aoe done" but... surprise surprise, no mention of who did the work or what was done. You'd think if they was charging retail cost for a "basically new" but not new replica, they'd at least list the stuff added... Airsofters suck man 🙄

  20. Just received another successful delivery from Fire Support (firesupport.uk) - and have to commend the team’s consistency in being excellent each and every time. Not only do they stock some hard to find items (e.g. specialist upgrade parts like AngryGun etc typically found on Asian sites), they’ve helped me out with product advice in the past over the phone, package things really well and always deliver within the next working day. I’d highly recommend them! Only suggestion for them would be to upgrade the website, make categories more granular to make it easier to navigate and find things.

  21. Had the exact same conclusion when I saw it and thought “ooo I want one of those” He mentioned struggling to remove the delta ring, then the mag part not fitting properly and assumed too much force was put on the lower. Definitely wouldn’t touch it knowing they had it in a vice then had mag fitting issues 😂

  27. Reckon my neighbours toddler could build something with better quality than most those rifles Haven't seen anything made of paper thin plastic in many years To be fair, one looks like a cyma combat machine and I think the other M4 is a cyma aswell Pistol is a cyma pea shooter 10000% Edit: I take that back* (It's definitely some cheap shit) This is pretty damn cool but completely unusable at 99% of sites in the UK Id still buy it though 🤫

  33. Faaaaaaaahk. I gotta stop buying job lots of stuff cos it seems cheap. Now I have a back bedroom full of average looking shite that I need to make awesome before selling it. 🤣 Saying that, I got a "free" SRC ak47 that I think may have pkm bits on it cos it's HUGE. I'm no ak expert at all. Took it apart to find the battery connection, only to find it has no wiring. Or selector plate. Ffs. Kinda like it though. Has actual wood on it too.

  36. I have 4 Ares rif's and never had any issues with them, but they're wall hangers so I don't feel qualified to really have an opinion. What I can say is I have another 9 wall hangers that have given me issues either through previous owners 'upgrades' or parts compatibility & none of them are ares. Out of the 7 other rifs I've used in game over the past few years only 1 has caused an issue in game due to the motor hight & was a simple fix. I'm sure where there's smoke you'll find fire but ares do seem to get a lot of schtick whether it's warranted or not.

  43. And I’m still trying to figure how out £400 is a bad asking price, I spoke in the mws chat on discord and everyone said that’s reasonable. 🤷‍♂️ How many people buy a mws and not change the furniture, most people have builds planned out that will chage the whole look. I see your point about it not being new the moment a bb is fired but the reason I said “basically new” is so people know it’s not been used beyond a few test firing. And the reason I haven’t change the rail etc myself is because I had a build planned and decided to switch to a vfc for said build instead. I needed to rethread the upper to take real steel Midwest industries rail, so I never got around to it yet before I decided to switch to a vfc. If you think the price is unfair then you could just say in a dm, dunno why everyone had to freak out and post it here. Like I said the mws chat are fine with the price I listed. I’m just gonna keep it anyways, to much hassle to sell and I paid £600 for it, so if I can’t even get £400 without it being “unreasonable” then I may as well just do the build I had planned and get a vfc for a separate build.

  45. I'm sure there is some hate toward Ares coming from people on the bandwagon but there is reasonable criticism as Colin alluded to. There are so many unnecessary decisions made in their design department that add to people's grievances such as trying to be edgy by using a clockwise thread on the outer barrel or forcing a vendor lock-in with proprietary gearbox casings based on v2. I happen to own one Ares AEG that has been extremely reliable but when its mosfet or something else in the gearbox goes, finding spares is either going to be really difficult or so expensive that I can just spend the money on or toward something else more modern and serviceable.

  46. Following the rather less than wonderful experience last time out, I set out on a cold and foggy morning for Airsoft Plantation. The site was not quite as busy as usual, with probably only about 100-120 players present. For once, I didn't have any guns to test and set up, so my pre-game experience was rather more relaxed than it generally has been of late, leaving me time to chat with other regulars, the site owner and Luke, one of the marshals, who was also at Splatoon last time out. The first game of the day was a fallback. Starting at Swaziland, we had to drive the enemy out of the DEA base and then push on to get five players onto the bus located at the back of the mortar pits. We had infinite buddy regens after a 30m fallback, while the defenders had three lives to take wherever they chose after a 30m fallback. I started off on our right flank, pushing up along the site boundary with a group of players and flanking the DEA base; we managed to take out a lot of defenders to our left, although our advance was slowed by a couple of very annoying snipers. Having cleared the DEA base and after an impeccably observed two minutes silence starting at 11:00, we pushed on to the mortar pits, where everything bogged down a bit. We slowly fought our way in against tough resistance; I was particularly pleased with a flashbang that I lobbed over some bushes which I thought a couple of the enemy were hiding behind; after a shout of "Oh, fuck!" and a loud bang, seven of them walked out with their hands up. As we moved forward, I used the SR47's range and accuracy to help neutralise the defenders on the bus by making it too dangerous for them to appear at the open windows. Eventually, five of our players made it onto the bus. Huzzah! After the usual short break to reload, the game was turned around; suspecting that some of the enemy might try to sneak through the scrubland along the edge of the firebreak, a small group of us took up position in and around the fort. They did indeed do so and we had a great set of firefights, along with more lobbing of some of the 16 flashbangs that I won in one of AP's raffles a few weeks ago. Inevitably, I was eventually hit and retreated to a position behind one of the berms, from where I picked off enemy players who showed their heads above the fort's crenellations and those trying to force their way around by the comms truck. Being hit again, I was falling back when there was a shout that the enemy were attacking in force from the other side of the mortar pits. Moving over there, I found a spot behind a car from where I was able to interdict their movements across my front until a couple of snipers appeared, one of whom potted me. The enemy completed their mission. After luncheon, which as usual, was delivered delivered very efficiently, we walked out to the mortar pits for our own commemoration of WWI, a very short game with the two teams lurking behind facing berms and, after the application of copious amounts of pyro by the marshals, having to "go over the top" towards each other. It could have been trivial, but it was actually quite thought provoking. After that, we played another fallback game; we started at the border, with infinite regens on a marshal, while the defenders had one life in each of the village and the mortar pits. Our objective was to clear the village and then capture the bridge in the mortar pits. We pressed forward against a stiff resistance, which involved me making multiple trips back to regen on Luke, which is always a somewhat disturbing experience. After a hard fight, we pushed into the village and cleared it; myself and another player then swept the village, making sure that no defenders had been left behind. Having done that, we followed our colleagues towards the mortar pits and were moving into the fort, which rather dominates the bridge, when an enemy player popped up and shot a load of us in the back; clearly, our sweeping of the village was not as effective as it could have been! Having regened again, we joined the push towards the bridge, which was duly taken. This game was duly reversed and I found myself on our extreme left, lurking behind the hut in front of the still dried up pond; in the pond were a sniper and a couple of other players. It was a great position, from which I was able to slow down the attack by sending a large number of attackers back to find a marshal to regen on. As the pressure grew, the players in the pond bugged out; I was unable to do so, so I sold my life dearly. Crossing the firebreak, I moved into the brushland with a few comrades in case some of the enemy swept through that way; quite a few of them did and we had a running fight with them, engaging them to slow them down before pulling back to new positions. We held them at bay, but another group to our right eventually pushed through to the bridge, ending the game. It was a typical AP day of well thought out games which engaged both the experienced players and the fairly large number of rentals, played in a good spirit apart from the couple of typical tiny tantrums that seem to happen whenever grown men play with toy guns. Public webbing walk?

Public order act prohibits "paramilitary uniforms" being worn in public settings. Granted, this refers to more political aligned uniforms, But I wouldn't risk it. So is it legal? Technically, but probably not. The Police will treat all calls about firearms, gunmen, explosives, etc. as if they are real until they can discern otherwise. This can put you in a potentially dangerous encounter. Furthermore, your appearance in military fatigues with fake grenades and magazines can cause someone harassment, alarm or distress. Its not worth the hassle.
