As much as I'd like to grow a beard and think I'm a smooth operator (Seal Team 6) in a theatre of war, I'm happy with my Viper kit.. lol2 points

Macks airsoft dreamers of the week thread

I knew I should have posted it on the real steel forums instead:) Agree that it's expensive and totally unnecessary for airsoft, and only of interest to impression load-outs and real steel gear enthusiasts. Target market is obviously very small, will probably sell in 6 months time when someone searches for it and comes across the ad.2 points -

Lozart's original guidance in the appraisals thread to the seller was for a £1400 rrp and 8-900 secondhand, seems the seller went for the lower end of that bracket. i assume someone with the cash and desire for such a thing probably has a good idea wether or not it's worth it (at least i'd hope anyone dropping that kind of cash on a rig has done some research)2 points -

Taiwangun Shipping Disruption (Brexit Related Content)
Speedbird_666 reacted to Piman for a topic
I have a pdf of the invoice they sent to me and it is for the correct amount. As far as details from UPS the attachment above is all I am getting in relation to the charges. Shortly after paying I have received an e-mail from UPS with the following statement. " you have a shipment coming, and we have received your payment of import fees. No further action is required on your part." I am not sure how much I believe that. The current tracking shows delivery is due this Thursday although the latest status is: "Your parcel is delayed due to a Brexit related disruption. We are adjusting delivery plans as quickly as possible." However it has stated that several times during it's journey. I will update all once I receive it. James1 point -

iirc we have a thread for making stuff if you wanna go there specifically. that looks pretty good, and that's coming from someone who abhors lens protectors so much i refuse to use them on anything no matter how cheap or expensive the optic is.1 point -

At the end of the day something is only worth what someone wants to pay for it. If someone out there wants to drop 800 notes on it more power to them. And if they think it’s too expensive well then that’s ok as well.1 point -
Well UPS have charged me £32.11 in brokerage fees on top of 'government charges'. Absolutely disgraceful. Was expecting the usual £12. The 'government charges' are not what I expected but it did say these are subject to change. The delivery has not yet left Poland so I wait to see what actually happens when it arrives. James Actually, looking at the invoice I have a horrible feeling that I have yet to be charged VAT and duty for the UK. In which case I have no ideas why there are these charges.1 point

you can work around it depending on what kind of draw speed you want, just run the mag seperate and load the gun when you're gonna use it. of course this is just another reason why the mighty makarov with its infallable heel release is the greatest pistol ever made1 point -
Finally I have it where I want it. SRS A1 covert, Random foam filled suppressor, Rapax 2J with 1x spacer - 334+-2 fps on Geoffs .43s, Faceless barrel 420mm, 60deg r hop patch and 100% airseal bucking with a FAST hop (perfect air seal) Wasp piston with medium weight and full break and their spring guide, Stock filled with expanding foam, Random Tesco scope on high mounts. All in all very happy now and shooting great already out to 64m (furthest I can get at present) and I’m certain when the hop beds in it will be a real tack driver. Also, as a bonus, it sounds like a good mk23 and has a dull thud when firing so should be almost unheard outside the med. All that’s left is to put some cut up leaf trouser leg strips on it so it really blends in with the vegetation.1 point

The parts are starting to arrive! Had a moment of almost weakness last night and thought "why did I buy a ZCI barrel when I can buy PDI?" and then U-turned and decided to stick with ZCI. 2021 Autobot in 60° is very pliable, does feel a bit softer than the older 60's. Looking forward to what it can do. Dug out my nozzle springs so have an AIP 140% to go in. Dug out my fibres Parts waiting for; H plate Short stroke Parts debating on; CowCow trigger as the stock trigger is a bit sloppy Waiting until all parts are present and then I only have to take it apart once.1 point

^be warned, soft fabric style holsters + thumb button mag release=click of doom + hours of searching for a dropped mag.1 point -
If that is a reasonable price I stand corrected and the seller is not a dreamer. I don’t know how rich I would need to be to spend a grand on something to carry £20 mags round in, but it would have to be Bill Gates levels of rich.1 point

Thats cos he knows real "operators" (of which there are many in Airsoft ?) don't want the smell of laundry detergent or fabric conditioner giving away their position if they're upwind of the enemy........ you know its true, next time you play, look around the safezone, it's usually full of sweaty looking bearded soap-dodging cnuts................ and thats just the marshalls ?1 point
