Just arrived. Looking for a bit more firepower while moving around with the VSR at a skirmish day. Have 3 long midcaps too, because the stubby ones were out of stock4 points -
Well, many days after starting, I've finally finished all 200 pages. Apart from figuring out that I really need to do more with my spare time, here are my main take homes from the thread: The MWS in all its iterations is, as Snoop may say, the shiznit The MK18 version looks ace but the design is mental The third party support for the platform is huge @AlphaBearhates Nuprol The one constant upgrade that almost everyone agrees on as being performance enhancing and therefore an essential purchase, is the SixG brass nub Whenever retailers get any MWS's or TM original parts in stock (especially mags), they disappear rapidly, so act fast Angry Gun are shit, but they're not, sort of HAO Industries kits are incredible looking (416 and L119A2 ?) but are jaw-droppingly expensive @AlphaBearreally hates Nuprol Fire Support provide excellent service to the needy and cash-rich MWS brethren Depending on barrel length, ammo weight, nub type, gas type, ambient conditions, lunar alignment and inside leg measurement, FPS ranges from 200 - 1,400 fps The green gas mag mod is not necessarily necessary @AlphaBearfrigging hates Nuprol Become familiar with Impulse101 and other Japanese sites and order well in advance of needing spare TM parts Nozzles, nozzle springs, TM hop rubbers and a decent armourer's wrench should be in everyone's tool/spares box This thread is an absolute goldmine of people willing to share information, admire other people's builds and welcoming other people in joining the growing number of MWS owners @AlphaBearabsolutely, positively hates Nuprol Thanks everyone. Looking forward to receiving the stock alert email telling me it's time to sell a kidney (or kid) as my MWS journey is about to begin.3 points

It's always good to see this BB debate bubbling along... there really isn't a right or wrong answer when it comes to BB's other than DONT USE NUPROLS in a MWS!!! Like anything with an MWS, no two will probably function the same but will do within tolerances. The science and engineering behind the MWS is such that different people will have varying results. This is so true in the case of BB's. What works well for one person may not necessarily work as good for another. I believe It's trial and error to some degree, not I deal I know but that's the platform we are working with.2 points

Small review on the Revanchist 45 degree selector. # Easy to install. # Fit and finish is great but not superb. There is maybe one mm of mushy play in each setting (safe and semi) but both settings have a steady and affirmative “click”. # A bonus for me is that you don’t need to run it ambi. Simply leave out the right side selector and the selector cylinder will end flush with the receiver. (You could even alter the positions of the long and short selector tabs respectively. In case you rather want the long tab on the right side of the receiver) All in all very happy with this purchase. Now moving on to install the bolt stop lever from the same brand. Strong aluminum and super light weight. I hope it will hold up to my aluminum BCG and allow for the use of a B.A.D lever.2 points -

Good man @C-Diddy for reading all 200 pages. Your journey is now complete. Well almost....Now just get that damn MWS laddie and start having some fun. And for you’re preferred choice of BBs. Drum roll.... Don’t use Nuprol RZR bbs else the next 200 pages will be even more entertaining lol On reflection maybe I should start showing Nuprol some love? Give them a second chance? Hmmmmm? Actually sod that thought!!! ? . Guess which brand this rail is which Luke is referring too ????1 point

Thanks. I'm designing a trigger guard holster for my MP5 so hopefully that'll mean I could run around with one of these on my hip1 point -

Cyma. Only about £140 and a brand that I typically like. Pretty sturdy construction on it, but I won't be too rough with it (no HK slapping!) because I know sometimes Cyma metal can be crap.1 point -
I was quick and able to snag a second upper receiver before they ran out, since i'm having so much trouble taking off the Mk18 rails. Gonna keep the Mk18 upper stock for CQB and make the second upper for longer range. Already got my SixG nub and modify tan bucking ready from before I even bought my MWS last year1 point

Set up a stock alert. They come in in small quantities. Although they have most of the parts in so you can probably make up a new BCG from scratch lol1 point -
Folks, Impulse101 have had a huge restock of Marui MWS parts... So get your springs, nozzles, buffers and whatever you feel you need a duplicate of.... or triplicate of or in my case QUADRUPLICATE of (is that even a word lol) And if you choose the airmail option it's about £9 equivalent and takes circa 2 week Happy shopping...1 point

Really quite impressed with it. I have a Vector Optics one as well but the Victoptics being an FFP scope puts it slightly ahead. As you say though, good, clear glass and crisp illumination.1 point -

Probably because of a light strike on the gas valve due to the pressure in the mag. Once the pressure drops a little the valve knocker can open the valve fully = higher FPS. +1 for Geoffs No issues with 0.32g in CQB, it is still the same energy as a 0.20g moving a lot faster ?♂️1 point -
Didn’t mind “handbag !” Back in the day , at least it’s had SOME substance behind it ! ??1 point

GenuineGerman reacted to Tactical Pith Helmet for a status update
Well... fucking great day at Gunman Tuddenham. Good gameplay, really aggressive play from the green team and some hard pushes from the banded team too. Lots of BBs gone south. Positive kill to death count. New (to me) pew worked faultlessly. Only thing was forgetting to take my pain killers at lunchtime. I took them when I stopped play, but depressing the clutch pedal was agony all the way home. Picked up my M14 from the on site gnu guru. It now shoots supernaturally good. Seriously, give Theatre 1 Airsoft a look. As a former engineer, I cannot work the magic that Roman lays on what he plays with. I now have the best beastiest airsoft rifle I have seen in my gun cabinet. Thoroughly recommend this site, and this very special tech.1 point -

My wife surprised me with this on my 30th. The only times it comes off my wrist is bed, bath and game day In return, she’s got a little Longine now. Sometimes, the Bond theme plays in my head when I check my wrist Edit- bloody cat has torn up the rug again. That’s bit of rug all over the carpet...1 point -

Couple of quick points, first off try routing the V-lite UNDER the bungees on your cover. The cheap ones have a habit of delaminating from the velcro backer when they get hot. Also, try angling the light over your left ear downwards. They're relatively short throw and quite directional so if you want to use it to see where you're going you'll have to look down a lot, a bit of downward angle will help you maintain your forward field of vision (although I would suggest the mandible may well obstruct your downward field of view anyway).1 point
