  4. Ok, last of the Speedsoft content - moving on to other projects now. Made a hand guard using 40mm PVC pipe that acts as a sleeve over the stock outer barrel. Barrel nut epoxied to one end, and a cap that is a tight interference fit on the outer barrel epoxied to the other. Very solid given the soft plastic of the pipe, no flex or wobble. Perfectly usable I reckon, assuming you don't plan to use it as a club and wrap it around a tree. I call it - the fleshlight....? (Note - no guns were harmed in the making of this project, all bits will be reverted back to stock shortly.)

  8. I ordered a belt on the 23rd July, I emailed them a few days after asking if it came with the inner belt. I was told the multicam was still out of stock and it must be an error on their site and they’d fix it… seems that they’ve done a few of us over with that one. I asked for a refund on the 28th July. Chased everyday until I got a response saying “this has been done.” Which it hadn’t. I’ve then chased them three times since with no response. opened a PayPal dispute today. I would avoid this shambles of a company like the plague.

  9. Oh dear! That went right over your head, didn't it? You stated that you will never change your opinion; I pointed out that was the position of a fool as only a fool will never be prepared to change their opinion. Do you understand it now?

    The TM AKM thread

Greetings comrades, and welcome to the TM AKM thread. The glorious AKM has now been reproduced as an airsoft gbbr. This is a highly realistic gbbr (not that I have handled an ak mind), and thus is doesn’t have a bolt lock feature… no after the last bb, you get the dead mans click (hammer falls but no other action), just as our glorious solialist motherland demanded. it also has a highly fiddley dry fire mode … I’ll explained it later. other wise function wise it’s just like a aeg ak. first issue I have found is the humongous gas tube …. It’s longer than a cricket test match! this limits the amount of gas that you can hold in the mag (about 5seconds worth of green gas) but there is a simple solution, just like our enemy Yankee brotheren… cut the tube in half and you vastly increased the amount of dissidents you can send to Stalin per fill (15s fil =70+ semi shots before cool down) highly recommended film :- AK-47 Kalashnikov

@Bada Bing With the mags in mind, have you tried swapping the gas fill valve between one of your good ones and the ‘duff’ one? Ive noticed this on MWS mags, there is sometimes a lemon fill valve and it won’t take gas on. Would be curious to see what you find

Jeez relax SBoardley. You might break your keyboard mate. I wasn’t having a go at you. We’re all just here chatting about toy guns. First of all, there is absolutely nothing wrong with being a “fan boy”. I don’t know why folks get a hard on by using that phrase as an insult. I love TM. And what. Secondly. I bought it with my own money. Even if I was gifted an item, I thoroughly test said products and reveal all and any issues surrounding that particular unit. If you happened to have caught any of my videos where I was given free items you’d know that. Reviewers aren’t all alike you know. Thirdly. One of my AK mags struggled to take on enough gas to produce results which I was expecting. My other mags seem to have a better appetite and produce the performance I was looking for. This is a prime opportunity to test out varying levels of the Green Gas Mod to get the best out of that troubled magazine. Also remember that’s not a review. Overview containing my opening impressions on it. I’m still building experience with their latest AKM, and I’ll be making the review once I’ve grasped a good understanding of it. It’s a constantly evolving process that never ends. Reason why I’ve revisited the M4 MWS a few times over the years with its progress.

Biggest piece of advice would be to run an AEG with only 35 rounds (or something around that) loaded in the mags for a day to see how you get on with it. Obviously AEG ones will be significantly lighter, but the round count is generally a bigger deal to folks than the weight... though the weight increase is definitely worth considering. That'll also give you a decent gauge of how many mags you think you'd want to run with the MWS, so gives you a more educated point to start from in terms of how much the RIF is going to cost you including the 'right' amount of mags for you.

  20. True. But generally people only review when its bad. You have to go out of your way to do so. So the anger drives that. I cant think any delivery firm is over 60% JG scorpion for £50 on gunfire though.....

    Sixmm.Com Review

Necro post I know. I ordered from Sixmm in May. After an adequate period with no item, I escalated to a dispute with PayPal and eventually they found in my favor. I will not deal with Simm airsoft (or off shoots) again, and I would say order from them at your own risk.

  22. https://www.trustpilot.com/review/gls-group.net versus https://www.trustpilot.com/review/ups.com/gb GLS are only 50% bad versus 90% for UPS, so I suppose that's an improvement of sorts. Similar complaints though. Shame as Gunfire/TG are the only retailers I could find a reasonably priced M16A1 for a 'Nam game I had my eye on, but buying from them would be like admitting that I have some sort of masochistic prediliction and I'm not sure I can be bothered with the inevitable hassle.

  24. If you have an opinion and will never change it you are a fool; a wise person changes their opinions as new facts emerge, as John Maynard Keynes almost certainly did not say.

Silicone isn’t for metal to metal period. You always need a lithium/moly/gun oil for metal on metal. Silicone oil is for certain O rings and seals only.

Mayo as hell so exceedingly boring, but very functional. Just had the NGRS back after a bit of work on the insides. Looking forward to giving it a run out in a few weeks time.

  31. This is partly why you're going to struggle to convince me it's better than a GHK. Having seen the rwtv video on it I'd still rather have the GHK. Not that I'd even consider the TM until they started bringing out a 74 anyway.

    Sixmm.Com Review

Update. Credit where it’s due. Sixmm have given me a full refund and didn’t ask for the suppressor back. All comms were via WhatsApp and were answered within 48hrs. One message stated that the WhatsApp account was a business one and all queries would be answered within 48hrs so they were true to their word. How much of this was down to me putting in a dispute with PayPal and how much was due to them sorting out their customer services I don’t know. But, a good outcome for me, so happy days.

As mentioned, it's AsiaAirsoft in a new suit. I've had two orders with AA and both times they screwed up. Can't say I have any desire to order from them again, whatever they're calling themselves.

    Sixmm.Com Review

Well, it appears my praise of Sixmm was premature as it turns out the £60 VFC M110 suppressor I ordered has turned into a £30 Ares suppressor on delivery. They’ve stamped M110 markings on it, which look poor and the ink they’ve used to highlight the markings has smudged along the side of the suppressor. But, worst of all, it doesn’t even fit the VFC M110. I’ve contacted them via WhatsApp sending all the pictures and received a reply from someone saying they are new to the company and will pass it on to the manager who will contact me tomorrow. It didn’t even come in any manufactures packaging, just wrapped in bubble wrap and shoved in a plastic bag. We’ll see what happens with my requested refund, but I’d avoid them like the plague.
