  3. It's all terribly exciting right now. I now have all the constituent parts for a sleeper FN57. Basically all the FN57 specific upgrades, already got the non threaded non screwing up outer barrel. Now acquired Guarder Gen 2 slide and frame. The upgraded Hammer and recoil springs, specific inner barrel upgrade etc. Nice to get the Strike Warrior back up and running with a grip safety that's not split in half. I am seriously contemplating buying a second FN57, boneyard or otherwise and do a stupid build that won't fit in any holster.

  4. Of course you are all aware it's Half-Term at the moment, & it's literally Airsoft "law" that during this time we have an influx of ridiculous & illiterate posts & threads, including sales ?

  5. Oh.... I had to leave a comment too... Hey buddy my cousin in my village really wants this as it will enrich his life he said. Although he doesn't have this much money to spend on a Marui so he asked if he could trade a camel and some sheep to being the price down a little. Of course if you don't have any space to put a camel and sheep then he understands, I'm sure this will sell very quickly and the new owner will be very happy as he will be getting great value...

  6. It's nigh on impossible to have an actual chart of what spring achieves what energy in what gun. To have a somewhat "fair" comparison, the chart would need to have: Cylinder length Cylinder inner diametre Cylinder type Actual Cylinder Volume (so the inside area multiplied by the distance between the end of the port and the cylinder head, nested into the cylinder) Piston travel Number of teeth on the sector gear Air Seal rating (tricky, maybe on a scale from 0 to 10 and each number has a coefficient) Hop chamber Hop rubber Inner barrel length Inner barrel diametre Spring manufacturer Spring material Spring coefficients (gl finding them) BB weight BB brand BB average dimension (yes, get on the caliper and measure every single bb you are going to use) BB average weight (same as the above but with a precision scale) Not to mention how parts are aligned with each other and other bollocks.

  9. Another idea which may appear good on paper, but in reality will be as useful as tits on a nun. There's way too many variables to give more than a rough approximation of what results you'll get

  11. Blind firing is not being able to see between the end of your barrel and the point of aim. To do otherwise is indirect fire. Presenting a target is just that. As for ethics, I am sure we would all agree that eudaimonia is central to airsoft. We are all there to enjoy ourselves. Does your behaviour in game add to or decrease to the enjoyment of the game for all those present?

  16. Sorry, I have to agree that this won't particularly useful given that I'd always encourage first getting the air seal as good as possible, then changing the spring. It would certainly be interesting to see comparisons, but there are just too many variables involved, starting with individual chrono, for it to be more than a scatter plot.

Total an accident unless the shooter was using the weapon in a way that would obscure their peripheral vision.

  20. They've been back and forth on it a few times, and I'm sure they have purple-haired employees who will potato-screech and ban the face off of anyone flogging so much as a toy cap gun. However, at the moment, the UK prohibition is on "(j) ammunition, firearms, or certain firearm parts or accessories". They don't mention imitations or replicas, and airsoft guns (under 1.3J / 2.5J) are not firearms (for the purposes of the Firearms Act 1968). https://www.paypal.com/uk/webapps/mpp/ua/acceptableuse-full We could ask their CS goons, and it might be interesting to see how many different answers we get. I agree with not putting "Real replica imitation firearm shooter gun" on the invoice, but "Jing Gong G36C" or similar is specific without being overt and at least gives you some options. I'd rather have something on an invoice than no invoice at all.

  21. Most likely answer they would get vandalised with a couple of days being put up at any wood land site. Any on line booking system should have terms and conditions which include site rules but let's be honest about that no one reads them. Only way to get rules to be inforced is to have a Marshall team that knows the rules and are out in game enforcing them. If you are ever at section 8 you will occasionally hear my sweet voice bellowing the rules to everyone in game if I find some one breaking them.

    Blind Firing.

Personally I don't think that hip firing is blind firing AS LONG AS YOU'RE LOOKING WHERE YOU'RE FIRING. Sitting in a bush waving your gun over your head saying it's ok because you can see through the branches? Nah, it's a dick move. Think about it, if you're holding your gun at your side with nothing between your eye line and the line of fire then yes, it's inaccurate but you're aware of everything between you and the target. If you're waving your gun over your head to clear the branches of a bush then you have no idea where that barrel is actually pointing when you start firing which is the basic definition of blind firing. The bigger issue is that if you allow someone to do that then it's a small step to full on, poking your gun round a solid corner blind firing which I hope we can all agree is stupid and dangerous (regardless of whether or not people do it "in real life"). The other point is that all of this is largely moot because the site sets its own rules. If you disagree with the rules then don't play there, if they say you're blind firing by shooting from the hip then it's irrelevant what you think, it's their site, their rules.

  23. The reasoning behind this is down to the huge amount of variables involved. I always try to help where I can and never give any guarantees when I personally haven't installed the various part in the same gun from the same era. Dates are important as well since manufacturers change their products from batch to batch. It's a minefield. I don't know any tech who considers themselves an "expert", "competent with certain brands" is probably how they would describe their skills. Always something to go wrong or surprise you ?

  24. 2 days later and I received a free replacement. Honestly Feyachi have exceeded all expectations and delivered customer service that rivals most. Can't fault the company. Would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a well made budget sight with great customer service to back it up. Also looks like an updated model. New box, better instructions, minor improvements to the sight and a clearer reticle. https://instagram.com/feyachi_outdoors?utm_medium=copy_link

  25. The problem with something like that is that there are so many variables. Springs vary from manufacturer to manufacturer, air seals vary even between identical guns etc. as a rule we generally know that in a well sealed gun an M95 or M100 will get you in the right ball park for the majority of AR types. I cant honestly see people bothering to update it.

  26. Agreed, I get twitchy when I see some stable genius posting the latest video of their brrrrt-cannon shredding cans and metal plate. The 1.3J auto limit in particular is likely based on an assumption of short AEG bursts at about 15rps. A steady stream at 50rps from an HPA proton pack is a rather different proposition. This isn't something that we want revisited.

Based on my last experience, packed the day after. Then the items were shipped four days later. So five days between order and dispatch. If that is any help to you.

  28. There's a lack of decent videos in English for this old sidearm, so I put one together. Impressed by the FPS out of the box (Hit 345 right off the bat, then settled down). I can't stand unboxing videos where they talk about every little feature, like "It has stippling on the grip". No duh! It's a video mate, we can see it. So this is just a very simple look at the gun.

  29. You will be if you keep doing it ! “Now where’d I leave my white stick ?” ? Most sites I’ve been too have said you need to be sighting down the gun so you can see what your shooting at , anything else could be classed as blind firing . Me personally I’ve always defined ‘blind firing’ as firing your gun either under/over or through any type of cover where you can’t see what your actually shooting at and you are unable to tell what or who is in front of you , but with the caveat there’s always going to be occasions where part of you view is obscured , firing out of a window(player pops up in front of you) , around a corner(player walks in to your line of fire) , etc etc so a player could still take a blast at close range from you but it was an unavoidable accident nothing else . I had the ‘hip firing’ scenario happen a few yrs ago , was in a sort of bunker complex I hear talking in the next room to me , recognised one of the voices as belonging to a right nobber on the other team so moved up to the corner of the two sections stepped out and shot him and two others in the back as they thought their team had secured the whole complex (they hadn’t ! ?) who all then promptly started screaming blue murder about blind firing as I shot the three of them from the hip ! I laughed and said “grow up it was only one shot each !” At that site it was single shot only inside hardcover/buildings/bunkers and walked off . Only for him to later turn up at my table in the safezone with a marshal(who just so happened to be a friend of his) who immediately starts shouting at me for ‘blind firing’ at this point I said rather forcefully shouted back at him with “do NOT shout at me get the head marshal now !” he arrives , both sides of the argument given , junior marshal given severe bollocking for speaking to me like that . The general consensus was yes it could be described as blind firing in the widest sense possible but really you want to kick up a fuss over a single shot to the center of your plate carrier ?

  33. A bit of a late reply but meh. No, I stopped playing there before it closed as a new job made getting there on time difficult. When I eventually did get back his attitude made me question whether I wanted to go back, considering other sites were now easier to get to and far better value for money

  37. Hi DerDer No I didn't get that far as I had this problem. I have tried it in a pitch black room as someone suggested. Apparently light on the sensors can cause issues. I will try now and see. Edit: I have tried it fully assembled. It was the same. Thanks

  39. We've raised it to an artform here. Fair point, and they can be presented separately. I'm sure we've all seen the difference between rambling digression briefings and someone who really knows what they're doing rattling through one clearly and concisely. This gets us back to the question of why sites don't just put the critical rules on a board, stick it up at the game zone entry, and say "Read that before you go out there, feel free to ask questions, don't plead ignorance."

  40. I got screamed at by a marshal for having the butt of the stock too low in my shoulder at one site. I was lobbing BBs in at the edge of my range. Not worth arguing with that level of daftness.

    Blind Firing.

I had an argument with someone about this a year ago at Mayhem. I was being shot at by someone who had a rifle above their head over a bush, but their head was behind the bush. They claimed they could see through the bush. I complained to the marshal who agreed it should be aimed down the sights of the rifle. But another marshal said the opposite and neither wanted to mediate and get involved. The guy who shot me decided that because safety brief didn't specifically explain this circumstance to anyone. He could see me, so it must be fine. So in the end it it meant I have a very small chance of hitting them through the bush and they gained an unfair advantage. The site you played at may have stopped hip firing, trying to solve the same issue I had. The average Airsofter can be pretty stupid and it's best to have a simple single rule, then attempt to explain what I experienced above. Some rules that sound overbearing to us, are in response to Airsofters that have pushed the boundaries (And the spirit) of the more lax rules that existed before. Not because marshal's are trying to be arses. Hip firing I have no problem with.

Yup I really like magazines… TM based RPK plus age appropriate sidearm. The garnish is because I wore it with full Russian kit including Leshy. Players initially thought they were engaging a sniper… and then regretted trying to get closer. Happy days at Elite Worthing. Very fine AEG to use, maximum fun. Could put mesh over the lens of course. ?

  49. AliExpress is perfectly fine. Its a multi trader outlet from China Delivery time will either be slow or surprisingly fast. Some common goods get warehoused in the UK which can account for some of the quicker deliveries Horror stories would normally be that it takes so long, it arrives broken, something is missing or the wrong item is supplied. This is where ‘customer services’ comes in, via an automated bot: Choose ‘I have a problem with my order’ Then choose what’s wrong from the list or ‘other’ Upload some pictures showing the items and label Wait a moment for ‘checking your order’ Choose whether or not the offered selections suit you: Full / part refund, replacement etc I have only failed once via the bot - because they had sent exactly what I had ordered (It was a multi option item and I picked the wrong one) You can get the same things via eBay, Amazon etc which I will use if I want it by a date. Via Amazon you’re dealing with Amazons policy, so I had to print the free returns label and wait for tracking to clear until the refund processed Via eBay you’re dealing with the seller - so the service will be good or shit. On one item the seller was perfectly fine and instantly refunded. Many Chinese sellers are under a government trade scheme and get free postage, that is partly why it’s so cheap (as well as the low wage/working standards etc) This is also why they usually don’t want returns because it will cost more than the item value If a buyer is taking the piss and constantly claiming for refunds then the ‘customer service’ will end Ive had a few mates say how shit and rubbish the service is, one won’t order from China because he had the wrong item once - did he complain - no, he thinks he might or might not have sent a message but can’t remember, but he didn’t instigate a claim via the support process Customer service is much more than getting it right first time. The real core to customer service is dealing with what has gone wrong
