  1. Giving war photojournalists a bad rep starter kit. Just a camera strap, blue helmet cover and a press vest away, then I'm ready to abuse journalist immunity one 40mm at a time. ?

  2. It's all good bro. I was the same as nearly got scammed myself till I did some research. Here's how to tell. This is compared to the ARES/STAR version. So where the red arrows are. Position 1, there is a small hole not present of the airsoft. Position 2, here there are 2 circles that on the real one are on the left hand side and stick out. On the airsoft version they are on the right side and recess in to the body. Position 3, there is a small hole there, which is present on both sides. Also not on the airsoft version. Position 4, the way you get to the lense. It's on the rear on the real one, yet is on the front of the airsoft. Then there's the markings. The real one will always start with AVL, and year starts from 1985 up. ARES/STAR and a few other clones all start STX and the year is always 2005. Then is the NSN number. The airsoft one isn't even correct on any part of it. Now there are a few other really minor signs, but these are the obvious. Hope that helps bud.

  5. They manufacture air-guns, they import airsoft guns. All the Umarex products for airsoft are licenced replicas made by others (VFC and Cyma for example).

  6. Sad news that a young chef has been admitted to hospital after accidentally rubbing herbs into his eyes. Poor chap is now only parsley sighted.

  7. Rather illustrating my point there, chap. At the sites I've played which allow DMRs, the rules are either "1 shot per 2 seconds", or "1 in the air", which at DMR ranges effectively means a shot about every two seconds. You're baulking at limiting yourself to four times that fire rate. Sites are just kidding themselves about DMRs.

  11. fair enough, i can get the desire, i'm still wondering if retro-bodging a hop onto the We luger might have made it bearable to shoot..... one of those situations where running lighter ammo ironically ends up the order of the day tbf, there's a lot of satisfaction to be had from getting hits with a gun like that, i bought the ct25 as a joke thinking "if it shoots 20 feet i'll be happy" only for it to turn out to have stolen some of tm's fairy dust from somewhere.....

  13. I’m not entirely sure how compatible the WE slides are with TM , but if you are saying it’s cycling to a fashion then I’ll take your word for it . my guess , and the cheapest starting point (and you’ll likely need one anyway ) The nozzle can’t keep up with the speed of the slide so it’s just always forward during firing , you need a stronger nozzle spring .

  18. At a site last month and they had one of the staff going round taking photos most of the day, I thought it was a missed opportunity to kit him out in a blue press jacket and helmet.

I thought it was going to look stubby and weird, but I like how it turned out; Had to file away parts of the stock though because the Action Army outer barrel is chonk. Need to set it up properly, but initial chrono tests (which admittedly are limited) I am able to set it up to be 2.3J or less on 144a, which I couldn't do with the stock 630mm barrel because joule creep was hell. 510mm barrel is letting me run .48s through it at legal limits and it's basically as quiet as my HPA VSR with that suppressor on the end. Won't be using it too much in the near future because my local site will be awful for 30m MEDs until October, so got plenty of time for tweaking

  20. the tabs on them are very weak, even knowing they're weak it's still difficult to get the wiring etc fitted and grips installed without exerting enough force to break them. guess it's a design flaw that doesn't seem as big a deal on paper as it does in reality. gotta be more than that? brushless was well established in rc even before i started pewing.

  23. I will absolutely never use UPS again. It only took ~8 phone calls, 2 firearms declaration forms (they claim to have never received the 1st), 2 sets of import info (same as the forms) & 2 additional emails for them to realise that I, in fact, was not importing a firearm or a RIF ? All for the low price of $60 shipping. ? UPS & Evike for using them. The MWS bolt that was part of the order finally arrived, however...

  26. Over a month later and a few emails the repaired motor seems to be on its way back to me. Will take at least another week or two because national postal service. Hopefully I can fucking use my AK for the 4th time in two years!

  27. Nope. And using an online import calculator resulted in this: So unless UPS have made a mistake they can GTFO. I will be getting my barrister brother to send them a letter telling them to GTFO, in legalese.

  28. Had my best experience using my DMR on Sunday. Having a .50 trigger delay felt like an eternity during gaming play (so will reduce that slightly), but I really liked it. I felt that I made each shot count and therefor a better experience. During the heavy rain, there was only so far I could see my bb before it would disappear, so one of my team mates was acting as a spotter, that was great fun and very immersive. We even took on other snipers, successfully by working this way. I love my DMR and the role I do so much more now - got some Geoff bb’s on the way. Roll on Sunday!

  36. ?A German guy called Helmut approaches a lady of the night in London . "I vish to buy sex viz you." "Okay," says the girl, "I charge £50 an hour." "Ist goot, but I must varn you, I am a little kinky." "No problem," she replies cautiously, "I can do a little kinky for an extra £10." Helmut agrees. So off they go to the girl's flat, where the German produces four large bedsprings and a duck caller. "I vant zat you tie zese springs to each of your hans und knees." The girl finds this odd, but complies, fastening the springs as requested. "Now you vill get down on your hans und knees." This she duly does, balancing precariously on the springs. "You vill please to blow zis kwacker as I make love to you." She thinks this even odder, but figures it's harmless (and the guy is paying). But the sex is fantastic: honking away on the duck caller, she is bounced all over the room by the energetic German. The climax is the most sensational she has ever experienced, and it's several minutes before she has enough breath to say, "That was totally amazing! What do you call that position?" "Zat," replies the German, "is ze Four-sprung Duck Technique ???

  42. @Druid799 ? It's not quite as bad as that...I've refined the design a fair bit so it doesn't look so - blocky. I've added a few Unity mount style cuts and changed to a single piece design.
