  1. A big old pile of bits that have gradually been accumulating ready for a fresh MWS project. Work in progress Charles Lancaster 455. I think it's most famous outing in media was being on the cover of battlefield 1? For tanaka Cassieopiea shells.

I too have just learned something today! Never really thought about the temperature differential between a gas bottle and the magazine. Now i have to figure out a way of vigorously rubbing the gas bottles in the safe zone before I fill up the mags. Although I hazard to guess I may get some strange looks

  9. I use utra air no problems. I have lost the mag feeder though. So reloading mags is now a pain. Patrolbase do see mags if you need more. I run 4 in a game and I still feel likeI need more.

  10. That’s actually a good way of looking at having a backup. Make sure it’s another primary coz let’s face it you don’t really want to be playing with a rif which is cheap and cheerful and which just ruins the rest of your day. Of course as it’s already been mentioned it’s also down to one’s financial standing and I appreciate times ain’t easy for many folk.

    g&G mp5 not shooting

G&G MP5s with their built in ETU need an 11.1v LiPo Battery, it says so in the manual. However if you do need to disassemble it, i made a video years ago on the TGMP5 A5

  12. Iirc the G&G G36 magazines are proprietary, only slightly but it's a huge pita, not sure why specifically but the spacing issues you're having might have something to do with it. There's two main versions of G36 hop and magwell, the original TM (CA etc copy it) has the feed tube on the magwell, the alternate version was first done by SRC, and has the tube on the hopup, later JGs copy this but it's pretty uncommon. If you look for a SRC magwell you might have better luck? But the spacing might still be off, G&G G36s were always pretty rare and never caught on so it's hard to find concrete info.

  13. Yes, taking a back up is essential and makes justifying new purchases so much easier! I wouldnt recommend buying a back up, buy a new primary. I love using my mws, it's awesome and makes the hobby so much more enjoyable. Been playing now for around 11 years and it's truly something else. Before the mws I used tm recoils, my old primary is now my back up. I've had maybe 3 times in 11 years guns have gone down mid game, but getting time to actually attend an event means I need to make the most of them.

  14. I put a bet on yesterday, a treble, which the manager of the betting shop tipped me. Sunshine 10-1 Good Times 7-2 Moonlight 9-4 I put £50 on, and they all lost. But I can't blame it on Sunshine, can't blame it on Moonlight, can't blame it on Good Times, I blame it on the Bookie

Don't get me wrong, not saying the cops are gonna bust down your door or anything lol. They're just that well done. I'm all for it myself as the vast majority of high-fidelity replicas out there are over done SF ARs (nice guns, just over done) or maybe some AKs; anything that's super popular internationally. SA80 family gats are rare enough in airsoft, let alone unusual modifications or faithful replications.

This was a project and a half. Tokyo Marui MK46 MOD 0. It had the wrong flash hider, broken front sight, missing comfort grips on the front handguard, missing foot from the bipod, broken recoil mech and didn't feed properly oh and it was spray painted in desert colours. After much scrubbing, 3D designing the recoil mech and comfort grips and general tinkering it's finished (apart from I'm looking for the correct front sight and maybe some original comfort grips)

  19. Personally, I do, but I know a few players who are absolutely anti-AEG, so they take another gas gun. My feeling is that, although I much prefer using my MWS, there are more factors that can cause it to stop working correctly than an AEG, so I cover both bases. I've had the feeling of paying for a game day, the rifle shitting itself within 10 minutes and, with no back-up, doing the walk of shame back to the car and leaving. Don't want to repeat it. If AEGs aren't your thing though, consider another GBBR. Either way, yes, take a back-up. You can never have too many guns, right?

^ this if the gas can is warmer than the vessel you’re intending to fill, the liquid gas will spill into the magazine more consistently than if they were both at the same temperature. You might’ve found before in the safe zone where you swear blind you charged a solid 10+ seconds on your mags, and you get 10 weak shots (if that) before it flames out. If they’re both the same temp, it can equalise pressure between them and not transfer anything at all.

  21. Hi! A short introduction is always nice right? I’m from the Netherlands and playing airsoft for 4 years now. I would love to go to the UK someday, to play on your amazing fields. You’re so lucky to have acces to old army traininggrounds. In my collection I have a TM HK416D, a TM Glock 17 and a VSR-10. I have a TM mp5sd6 on pre-order, hopefully it wont take to long! Thanks for all the information on this forum and hopefully we will meet someday!

  22. Who mentioned being anti anything? I never said I approved or disapproved of either. How you live your life or otherwise is no concern of mine, if you really want to embark on such a lifestyle then go for it. I certainly will not hold it against you. The Scottishness that is.....:P
