With adders and ticks prevelant in woodland. Even in the grass skirt, there will be tan combats underneath lol.

  3. Gonna be ahot day for airsoft tomorrow. Time for a therapy day at Combat Action Games,  to deal with a year old demon.

Hydration bladder on the back of my plate carrier and about the only bit of skin on show is my lower face that likes getting shot at apparently.

  4. 42 today. Ugh. Nevermind. Get to be a big kid, dress up and play war on sunday. Bring it on!

Lol, you youngsters have a while to go to catch me up ?

Felt my age for a couple days after last Sunday's skirmish, now wishing I had booked another for Sunday, didn't think I could cope with 2 in a row, so made other plans.

@ghostwalker @sonofsammo you crazy kids! I'll be 48 end of the month, played with a guy at Ironsight last weekend that was 64!

Happy birthday by the way @ghostwalker!

Thanks guys. I would play everyday if there was a site running everyday oh and i could actually afford to lol.

  5. My current pair of pellet chuckers. My ics cxp mars sbr fet. noting extra other than a small sight and sling. Keeping it very minimalistic as its nice, light and comfortable as it is. My ics cxp ape. Not 100% sure on this. the sight works well enough but not sure it fits the asthetic of the gun. Also feel it needs a little something to give it something to make it pop a bit more. Its a lovely gun but the metal handguard is a pain as it has a bit of wobble in it.
  6. Templar assault systems commanders admin pouch. Apparently its for my phone etc. In reality its for patch real estate on my warrior vest. MFH hydration pack because its getting warm and heat stroke/dehydration suck. 6000 .28 The draft club bb's. More pew for the few unfortunates who cross my line of fire.
  7. Every other sunday sucks. No airsoft and a day spent wanting to shoot people. Not good lol

If your interested in shooting real guns and live near a place why not give clay pigeon shooting a go. I went to one a few weeks ago it was a load of fun shotguns when shouldered feel so nice to shoot. Its not too bad for the money either but its only like a hour long activity or less.

Theres an air rifle shooting club nearby. Thought about trying it but then i remembered. They shoot weekday evenings when i am at work 'le sigh'. Nevermind  Just means i need to shoot more fools on sunday at airsoft...or get shot by...

  8. Think someone is trying to hint about full face pro. 3 years never a bad head hit. Last 2 weeks, split chin and a hit just below/beside my left eye that left a massive lump and cut.

I’ve tried sawflies and they fog as soon as I put them on, currently wearing locust fan goggles but nothing is perfect and everyone will have differing experiences

      proffrink

I too use Revision Locust goggles and they're the best I've had (but not perfect). Applying antifog at the start of the day and half way through helps. Lots on the forums already about this if you want to have a search.

Used to use them exclusively before I moved onto mostly tracer rounds.

  10. Took the ICS Cxp Mars sbr out for its first game yesterday. OOoooh tis a nice bit o kit,

  11. In the last 7 days this lot. ICS Cxp Mars sbr with fet. ICS Ble Xae pistol. Warrior Assault Systems vest, quad mag pouch, dump pouch and medium utility pouch. Double rifle bag. 3300 nuprol rzr bb's. 2 vp 7.4 1300mag lipos (god help me my first ever lipos as the mars rifle doesn't like LiFE batteries). Gas for the above pistol. Holo sight (mounted on mars) Combat Action Games site patch. Not shown as i can't make use of them 6x Warrior Assault systems single bungee mag pouches, pts magpul moe vertical grip. I think the Bank manager and mrs will be destroying my bank card after that. Apparently i shouldn't be allowed a week off work after selling my cyclocross bike.
  12. Picked up a used warrior assault systems vest (much like the 5.11 lbe vest). Along with 6 brand new warrior open top m4 mag pouches. Also picked up a holosight and pts magpul foregrip. Sadly the foregrip is for a different mounting system to my keymod rail. nevermind. Not a bad bundle for £70 really
  13. @Skara I thought atacs fg was lighter greens in colour than that from looking at pics on the interwebs. Certainly looks a lot more Arid wildlands than i thought. I had been thinking about getting some Atacs fg to replace my current tan stuff for woodland games. But not so sure on it now. Me currently. Yeah i know. In the words of Arnie 'you (me) are one ugly mutherf*!$er'
  14. I dont have a gameday until next week but like any good airsofter i have had a play around. it's the triple s version so has the dual mosfet, electronic trigger and self diagnostic system. Programming the trigger is simple. Power up the gun and its set to single or automatic. Depress the trigger for 5 seconds and the gun will 'vibrate' indicating the switch from full auto to 3 round burst, The self diagnostic system is accessed by depressing the trigger and then plugging in the battery. The gun will then check through the electronic systems and mechanic systems for any faults. If any minor faults are detected it will still allow the gun to function but will give indications to what is wrong. If there is a major fault the system protects itself and wont let you cycle the gun. But you want to know about the gun itself. Its very light weight considering its almost entirely metal. Feels very comfortable and natural to shoulder and support. Has a bit more of an aggressive feel to it with the styling on the receiver etc. Trigger is fairly snappy on my 9.9v life batteries. Accuracy seems pretty good as a stock system. There is no wobble in anywhere noticeable. Nearly all features are ambidextrous and laid out for ease of use with the left side mag release slightly recessed to prevent you accidentally catching it and dropping the mag. Battery changes are easy. You just pull down the adjuster on the Butt stock and twist it 90 degrees. Then pull the butt stock off the tube leaving you with the length of the tube to place batteries. Most normal sized stock batteries will fit into the tube and ics seem to have thought this through. As they have included a small rubber button on the underside of the tube, It can be inserted into any of the adjustment points on the stock tube to prevent you potentially crushing wires when adjusting the stock (the button prevents the stock moving any further towards the reciver). The only negative is the lack of a bolt lock, meaning you have to use hold the bolt open whilst adjusting the hop up. Overall it seems a well thought out, well laid out platform.
  15. A new gun bag so i can carry a back up gun to a game and this... ICS CXP Mars sbr SSS. Now i just need to decide what sight, grip, covers and other fancy dangledoodies to add on and hang off it, Tempted by a paracord sling at the moment.
  16. So with a bolt recoil off the menu as they aren't supposed to be great.  Ics mars or a g&g tr model. Will admit the mars looks nicely different in a subtle way

    1. Georgeturner2001

      Georgeturner2001

Are you after a recoil then? If so don't go with either the G and G or mars as that's just the simulated bolt bolt reciprocating back and forth, adds a nice sound but there's no 'recoil' there!

    2. ghostwalker

      ghostwalker

Recoil would be good. But Tm are out of my price range and I'm also trying to support the local shop who don't stock Tm or kwa :(

    3. jcheeseright

      jcheeseright

if your local shop don't stock the items you're after then they don't support you... why would you compromise on the product you want based upon a store's available stock?

  17. Whats folks opinions on the Bolt Recoils? Seems reviews are either very good or very bad,

Can someone fill me in with what a bolt recoil is?

    3. ghostwalker

      ghostwalker

@steakandpotato its another brand of recoil aeg, Cheaper and harder kicking than tokyo Marui, more readily available than the kwa erg series, But it seems to be a real mixed reactions platform. which begs the question of it being worth £320-4£400

  18. Has anyone tried the new ASG Storm grenades? Any good? Im looking for a suitable grenade for woodland play

  19. Have 'incentive designs' gone e way if the dodo? Can never seem to access their website anymore.

  20. A single reproduction ww2 stitch on para wing and toggle rope. Well it's a start to my ox and bucks 6th airborne ww2 impression I am building. Only another mortgage worth of kit to buy. But atleast the sten gun is cheap.
  21. So in my infinite wisdom. Instead of deciding to build a whole new atacs-fg loadout with new m4. I have gone for a ww2 6th airborne division look complete with sten gun. Now to start saving.

  22. thinking about a new loadout. Would love to do something uksf but lack the finances for all the Crye and and high end stuff

      MZKaleem

The key to building an impression kit isn't spending all your money at once. Live within your means and build it up carefully and you'll be so satisfied when it's done. Plus the big money pits, like the rig set ups, can be easily switched for replicas and still look great, TMC JPC/AVS/CPC etc are decent enough for airsoft and relatively cheap (compared to the Crye equivalents anyway). Same for the helmet, no need to spend £££s on a real opscore, just grab an FMA repro, and build off of that.

I did look through @CKinnerley stuff @Gepard alas I believe I’m a little too..... rotund. 44’ chest and 38 waist lol. Working in a chip shop is bad for your health.

  23. Had this picture taken this past Sunday during a game. Shows off most of my ics cxp ape the way it should be shown. Delivering pews to those foolish enough to come in range.
  24. It's early on a Sunday morning and I'm up. Only means one thing. It's time to pew. Have a great day everyone.

  25. That's a first. Bought some 9.9v 1000mah Life batteries and they arrived pretty much fully charged. Less prep for Sunday and fielding the ics ape for the first time.

      CHECK YOUR SETTINGS

DO NOT CHARGE THEM AS LIPO's !!!!

Lipo's charge up to 4.2v max charge

LiFe's charge up to 3.8v max charge

(I think but don't quote me)

you can push half a volt charge onto them

      but LiPo's are 3.7v & LiFe's are 3.3v

So they need different settings in ya IMAX B6

or a B3 type with a proper LiFe output

You probably know all this but just passing it on

Don't damage your LiFe's - ergh is that suicide then ?

Don't overcharge your LiFe batteries by charging them on LiPo settings

      Happy charging etc....

    3. ghostwalker

      ghostwalker

Don't worry and cheers for the advice Sitting Duck. They were charged on life. Fortunately the charger has a idiot proof indicator aside from the switch. Lipos settings cause all led's to turn blue and life settings cause the led's to turn green when selected.

    4. Sitting Duck

      Sitting Duck

That is probably coz a used LiFe drops to 3v or less

On a Lipo you get a cell failure if it goes too low

Then you need to trickle charge the low LiPo

When it gets back above say 3.2v or more then

You should be able to charge the LiPo on the B6 again

Too easy to plug it in to cheapo China B3 type chargers

let it charge not knowing it will overcharge a LiFe !!!

Some B3's have a LiFe setting or so but not all/most

B6 is a bit of learning curve coz you edit the LiPo settings

Or make up your custom one

But I "think" it still needs to toggle Lipo to LiFe in settings

      (bit of a faff tbh)

IMHO - I never found the LiFe THAT bigger difference

compared to using a good 25c or 30c 7.4v LiPo

maybe in stock guns but never noticed much on a tweaked gun

Supposed to be the ideal stop gap between 7.4v & 11.1v

Bought 9.9v for FireHawk - bloody tight fit in stock tube

Then said sod it & chucked fixed stubby stock & cheap block 7.4v

Somewhere I got a monster 4000mah or something for full stock

Not that impressed so not bothered to buy again

But it might work out OK for you in your gun

      Just watch your charge settings

(and go deans if you can solder properly)
