Running my British WW1 kit a few weeks ago up at Adrenalin Airsoft (Was visiting a friend, very far north for me usually) one of the best regular skirmish days I've had in a while! (Repping the First Battalion Boys WW1 team insignia, based on blackadder's fictional badges)

Ran our first game at the Trenches we've been building for the last year the other weekend! The theme was Gallipoli - our fictionalised battle of 'Hellespont', so I was running shorts and Pith Helmet with my WW1 kit... (Yes I regretted the shorts) One of the best moment was being held hostage by an enemy officer... I'd been ordered to guard him, as we had taken him prisoner in a raid. However, during an attack I was too busy killing two of the attackers to see him draw his pistol, no one had disarmed him! He almost made it out of our trenches before anyone noticed, but someone managed to shoot him in the shoulder past me, giving me the chance to grab his pistol! I then proceded to kill a further two attackers with it! (Photo credits to Crafty Sniper Photography) (The full kit, had the tunic on in morning as it was quite chilly)

Thought I ought to do an updated 2022 collection photo... Got some of my grail guns that I thought I'd never get my grubby mits on!
-
There'll be plenty of that in the future! ?
-
It's pretty damn awesome! Bolt's a bit liable to not catch if you don't pull it back hard enough, and the bayonet lug is a tad bit big to fit a bayonet, but those are the only two things so far at least. Oh don't worry, we shall be doing games in the trenches and there shall be plenty of mud in future! This was my first game in the full kit ? (And I have no money now ?)

Getting there with my WW2 British kit, webbing all Blanco'd green. Just gotta get myself a lid, and decide what patches I'm going to have...

M1928, Sten MkV & Webley. K98k. I've got a few more of these little staged photos, but two's probably enough for one post.
-
It's a Northeast Sten MkV, they were introduced in 1944 as an updated, more ergonomic and well made version of the Sten. You're right though, it is a bit Owen looking now you mention it!

Felt cute, might defend El Alamein later idk. Just threw together some shorts and a shirt for the desert campaign look, probably won't spend the money on proper repro desert kit, given there aren't too many deserts in the cotswolds. But this looks decent.

Finally got around to a family photo... My god, what have I done. My wallet... But it is glorious.
-
Ah I'll be bayonet charging in it shan't be an issue for me! ? I can't see bugger all without my glasses anyway so usually I have to be within 20m to actually see someone!

Cheers, and I've got one actually, I'm just not quite sure what the correct way to carry it would be. I have a sheith but no idea where to attach it! It's the leather sort but I think it might be designed for para trousers. And I so desperately want a Lee Enfield, so much so my wallet is really going to hurt I suspect when (or if) either G&G or S&T come out with one! And I think Patrol Base had a pretty good deal on the AGM MP40 last I saw? £130ish, don't know if it's still running.

I've just put my first proper WW2 kit together after years of spending all my money on guns instead... I went for a British Commando look mostly because... Well I'll be honest, it was the cheapest. And having just mostly drained my funds getting the new Northeast Sten MkV, it needed to be! It considerably helped cost wise that I already had the bergen, scarf, and got the boots off my dad, from his time in the navy. I will be replacing those ill-fitting gaiters as soon as possible. For a more early war look, removed the scarf and grabed the M1928. Now I've just got to get to a game in it!

Finally after a month of waiting this gorgeous thing showed up... Northeast Sten MkV GBB. Absolutely beautiful replica, and packs a serious kick. Breaks down almost exactly like the real steel, and operates very similarly. The bolt will even fly out the back if you leave the stock off and fire it, so don't do that. I also recorded a little bit of slow-motion footage to show off the action... I will say one thing though, my second mag seal has already gone, but such are the perils of limited run GBB replicas...

EDIT: I've since fixed this issue, the inner gas chamber just needed reseating.

A WWII duo... Double Bell K98k Real Wood and CYMA M1928. Amazing what adding a sling can do for authenticity.

Recently did a garden photoshoot of a kit I've yet to be able to try at a game, my 'Thatcher' Operation Nimrod cosplay from Rainbow 6 Siege.
-
I've been keeping myself busy with a photoshoot given current circumstances, so prepare for this to be a fairly long post! Almost all of my kit, and all my guns, layed out; I set everything up into little themed groups, and took a few artsy shots of each. WWII Kit: SAS: MTP: Sorry for the long post! Photography has long since been something I'm interested in, but taking these pictures really reminded how much I enjoy the process. I hope you've enjoyed the result. Goodday!

Been a while but felt the ich for a new gun... Picked up my first WWII era gun, aside from the Webley, a Cyma M1928 Thompson. (Little bit innacurate in being based off their M1A1 model, but the only other option is the Ares one and I didn't have 550 quid to spend on that as good as it looks.)
