  1. Some more examples: (PM me if you want something done) Right side designed by me And a classic
  2. My son is at Bristol UWE and we checked if he could keep some pews in residence since they supposedly have an airsoft society but NO weapon shaped objects are allowed on uni premises. He didn't want to pursue it further so don't know if they have some storage facility.
  3. I'd have to agree tho. Springers are just not meant to last. Even the metal ones fail quite quickly. My son had a metal one as his first pew and even though he treated it carefully it only lasted a month before something in the mechanism broke.
  4. I don't have any specific experience with the SCAR line but I can say that WE are decent for the price ? The trigger components do tend to wear faster than with more expensive GBBR companies but as Gavin said, parts are available from KYAirsoft. (I have bought quite a few bits too) You can also get a Steel trigger pack from Ra-Tech like THIS (Reliable shop) So keep it serviced and enjoy ?
  5. Heavier IS better but you don't HAVE to use them. Use whatever you have and see how they fly. Make sure to adjust the power according to the weight you use.
  6. You'll have to open it up and check for anything broken.
  7. If you got a good balance charger it may recover the nuprol battery enough to use. Keep the other names in mind when buying any new batteries. (its always good to take a few batteries on a game day) Check here: https://hobbyking.com/en_us/batteries-chargers/batteries/lipo.html https://www.vapextech.co.uk/batteries/airsoft-batteries/li-po-packs?product_list_order=price https://www.componentshop.co.uk/batteries/airsoft.html
  8. Yes, they do usually come with some shims from factory but quite often just a basic level which can usually be improved.
  9. Nuprol... there's your problem ? Try a decent brand like KongPower, VapexTech, VP, Turnigy or even HobbyKing
  10. Luckily there are plenty of videos showing what to do. May as well try a re-shim while you've got it open.
  11. Sounds like a battery problem but its shocking to me that an AEG would need so much power without a heavy recoil system. And for that price.... ?
  12. Varnish the grip to make it look more like Bakelite. Suggested pistol King Arms SAA.
  13. Very hard to tell if the components will work well together but the functional parts you listed should be good. I hope you have a chrono to test fps before and after. (Remember all site limit fps are with 0.2g) Oh, and what spec batteries are you driving it with?
  14. Try an EBR ?
  15. Welcome ✋ Wow, 6 years to find the forum ? Have a look around, you might find some interesting threads.
  16. Before uploading, resize them to the smallest you can accept depending on what its for. High quality would be around 1600 and lowest 640 Note: You can delete photos from your storage and they remain posted in the forum. https://airsoft-forums.uk/attachments/
  17. I tried to get them to point forwards at first but they always came out. Then I tried backwards and it worked
  18. Depends how authentic you want it to look. I made one out of a wire coat-hanger. Its strong enough to hold the AEG on a single point sling. (Bent prongs point backwards)
  19. I can recommend Skirmish Wycombe in High Wycombe. Not too far from you. Just to ram it home even more... Rent for your first 3 games (at the same site) Then you can get UKARA registered and look to buy the toys. - First get good boots with ankle support. Either army surplus or more modern comfy ones. - Secondly get good eye protection. (full face or separate lower mask is recommended to protect the teeth) Aim to spend around £40 or so for good eyepro and some anti-fog wipes. (Someone chime in with the best) - Don't bother with a pistol until later. They are fun but add extra hassle to loadouts, need more preparation and not that important for woodland games.
  20. Yes, the whole point of having a ported cylinder is to allow the piston to accelerate before beginning the compression phase. (Short stroking may be more useful with pistols) I may have heard that cats like short stroking... ?
  21. If you like different, may as well go all out with random all the colours ?
  22. Yeah the lettering and top logo came out really well. I just put in a bit of 'Aluminum Black' to match it all up
  23. No, unfortunately I don't have one to test on.
  24. Just send me a PM ?
