  1. Kinky git? Agree, if your viper rig has served you well & ticked all the boxes so far, the maybe just look at other colour variants, it's like the old adage "if it ain't broke don't fix it" ? As you've admitted, sizing for kit is a problem, you'll be going down the virtual endless rabbit hole trying to find the holy grail of load carrying kit, some of us have been at it for decades & still not 100% convinced with what we're using, especially if your running multiple gun/mag platforms.
  2. I think rocketdogbert had the arse, understandably, about the spam situation making the forum unusable, plus the bickering that was going on mainly due to one members narrow views, meant he decided to take a break. I do hope he comes back, he was one of the core members that always had valid points to input thanks to years of experience. If I remember rightly, he'd also taken a break from skirmishes, focusing more on target shooting at his local gun club in Essex ?
  3. My go to recommendation to most people is a bulle mle platform, very light, very cheap (but not crap quality) very adjustable (my sons gf uses the m4 version with no issues & she's a proper hobbit?), but limited on colour options, od or tan I think ?
  4. What have you previously owned or used ? , what & how much are you looking to carry?, does it have to be a full coverage PC or vest, or can you consider chest rigs etc. & finally, what are your camo or colour needs ? Sorry for all the questions, but with more info we can give you better recommendations.
  5. While that's pretty clear in their definitions, but can they overrule UK buyers rights, such as distance selling rules, just because they state it on their website, I don't think so ?. BUT, their up in jock land , does their legislation differ ?
  6. You whip it out as often as you like Ali, I still gaze at it longingly ? I should have bought it when I had the chance?
  7. Got him lol Edit: & just now another one, that's 10 so far today for me, Dunno about the other guys ?
  8. I've no experience with them, but you've done the right thing by not opening it up, I'd recommend you email patrol base & then follow it up with a phone call, if they recommend anything other than returning it, ask them to confirm their advice via return email, & should it still have an issue, insist on a full return for refund or exchange, depending on what YOU want. Unfortunately vorsk aren't known for qc, so it could be a one off lemon, or a generic issue with them ?
  9. Previously seen these go for £300-£400, usually with only 2 or 3 mags though, maybe that'll ease the pain a wee bit ?
  10. Pop it in the freezer for a couple of hours, then do the whole cup of hot water thing again, it will give, but might need a couple of attempts, much better than pure force?
  11. LOL, sorry, I arrived late to the party & clearly misinterpreted what I skimmed over. But yeah, all too often peoples "want" for a pet clouds their decisions on the massive commitment, financial & otherwise, to pet ownership.
  12. While I 100% agree with your point, as someone who has: 5 dogs 2 cats 5 chickens 2 ducks 13 cockatiels & 4 budgies, anyone with pets knows vet costs can literally be a bottomless bucket, even insurance has limitations, so there's always a chance that costs will outstrip "resources", but that shouldn't mean an animal can't get the life & love it deserves ?, especially rescues. On a similar vein, very shortly after a friend's sniffer dog was retired from the police, he unfortunately broke his leg, but had it been a couple of weeks earlier, the forces insurance would have covered the 8k+ bill, instead poor doggy lost his leg. Hardly seems fair, but then neither does families having to pay for their sons funeral when said son dies in Iraq or Afghanistan, as was the case all too often. ?
  13. Yes & no, fets, sound generators, tracers, smoke generators, various options for recoil, hpa, wanker guns, the list is seemingly endless. Or, you could run a bog standard aeg with technology more than 25 years old, & still dominate the battlefield. Works for me ? (sometimes lol?)
  14. Sounds like a great plan, except the pikey bastard will probably open a fresh account, & sell your knackered gat at full price to an unsuspecting noob claiming it's in full working order, payment by bank transfer or F&F only....... "no ukara mate, no problem but we'd better keep it on the DL then & F&F it" ?
  15. The pic looks familiar, as does the text, or at least the context, I think he tried it on here previously, & I've definitely seen similar posts elsewhere, whether its the same chancer I've no idea, they usually get short shrift. LOL, probably related to the various pikeys that wander around with a petrol can claiming to have run out of fuel & needing a few quid to get to their wife who's in labour⛽?
  16. Apparently a second hand gun, that costs £495 new, rockets in value to £700 when you add a new hop, spring & a service. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't a hop & spring an integral part of any aeg, without either it would be boneyard. Yep, servicing costs money but not essential to sell an aeg, unless of course it was faulty & needed the attention ?. Seller also states it's discontinued, while technically correct, 20 seconds on Google found a UK retailer with them in stock for £495, so I'm still trying to figure out why a secondhand gun, that shouldn't be worth more than £350, £400 at best, is apparently worth £700 ? ? Opinions please, anyone else got a valuation ?
  17. Can't say for all, but I remember one of my g36's was definitely quieter when using a suppressor.
  18. I'm not finding bumblebee's profile, has he been banned or deleted ????
  19. I've previously had some great results with Krylon that remained hard-wearing, one thing I did was to ensure that the cans were warmed up, as well as the items being sprayed, really made a difference in the quality of the finish.
  20. Back atcha buddy, & to everyone else too??
  21. ?Your not supposed to sniff it, by any chance are you from Glasgow ? ?
  22. Yep, but he can't do anything, & the senior admin get a notification & I assume delete him completely, that right @Jedi_Master?
  23. @Grayz1980, no need to suffer with the plantar fascitis, get your gp to refer you to community orthopedics in your area, & then immediately chase them up, tell them it's affecting your ability to go to work & causing massive financial strain, they'll rush through an appointment & you'll probably be offered an injection at your first consult, it hurts like a mofo but usually works within days. They can probably assess the other issues & advise on best course of treatment to go for. But that's not to say don't consider the private route too, it'll be a quicker way to get custom made insoles for your arch problems, but not cheap. Regarding footwear, no two feet are the same, we can all advise you on good quality stuff that suits US, but might not suit you. In my youth as a young squaddie I could wear literally anything bootshaped & still outrun a greyhound while wearing full combat loadout, but nowadays, years of injuries & wear/tear have screwed them royally, had plantar a few times on both feet(never went on its own, Always needed medical intervention), broken bones (currently nursing 2 fractures in my 1st metatarsal that occurred in March & still not healed?), & a crush injury more than a decade ago that needed two ops, the second removed a toe, & still gives problems. My own personal choice in boots currently are Belleville TRU minimalist, super light, cross between a combat boot & a boxing boot, awesome for me, but whether they'd suit you is anyone's guess. Good luck, it's gonna be a bit of a journey for you. ??
