I should really think about doing something with mine - haven’t taken it out of its box since I bought it and played with the fun switch with a tracer unit on it last summer - I’m a terrible AAP owner tbh

@Mr. No_Face Most definitely, atm it weighs probably close to 3lbs so far excluding the under structure as I’ve used 1kilo of modelling clay I’m trying to get it done for the AFUK meet up @ Z-Mart at the end of July ?

Latest piccie as I managed to get a on the face shot as it’s kinda hard to take a selfie atm ? Currently un decided own the lower jaw & teeth should look but I think it’s starting look how I want it to be (minus the teeth)

Heheh your right but from what I’ve heard they have to numb up your eye first and there’s only one guess how that happens

@ShamalThink “Monkey Skull meets Punisher logo”, there’s a fair bit of sculpting around the lenses and atm debating wether to sculpt the long teeth of just paint them on the mesh guard sometimes I wish I would pull the trigger on eye surgery but I’m too chicken and really don’t want to see the needle coming at my eye….

So here’s a sneak peak on the work in progress to my new project which I think will surpass my mask/mesh combo hack. It will be designed to go over a pair of Bollé Pilot goggles and snap to the out goggle frame and I’m hoping it will weigh less than the mask/mesh combo (atm it weighs a fuck tonne)

@Adolf Hamster Almost every business has got fucked this last year, I’m self employed so I was earning zero moolar even more so than most as I live in the fuck-wit city that is Leicester who couldn’t follow simple rules, I think from March 2020 to May 2021 I worked a total of 17 weeks out of 60+ weeks There’s always ways to improve/succeed without be a douche to your customers. Happily I’m now back fully working I’m back being my usual happy self putting my clients first and even tho I lost a sack load of money whilst still paying costs which have now increased I still haven’t increased any of my rates to my people as I know they are probably struggling financially too.

@Druid799 That’s a proper shitter matey, this is one reason I pay with either PayPal or my Credit Card - there is always a way to turn about bad service but bad manners need punishment wether it’s financial in form of a card chargeback or to the council where you can cite lack of safety of minors

@Rogerborg No matey, this attempt was with lots of Shoe Goo & being clamped up for a couple of days to cure and seems solid enough admittedly I’m not planning on trying to rip them apart for now but I have some Gorilla two part epoxy resin and some JB Weld steel stick ready but I was using the cheapest/already opened first.

@ShamalThe Goggles have had some heavy tweakage to fit around my glasses but my glasses still did the fog thing so I attached a couple of 25mm brushless fans in the corner it’s wired up to a small battery box which I used to tape to the strap but now will Velcro since I have got some for another project and a rechargeable 9v battery from my bass, and when my glasses started to fog at any point I would flick the switch it worked a treat a very very low fan sound - so faint someone stood next to me thought they had a gas leak This was before lock down since I have added the mesh, the goggles came with 3 colour of lens but since these are for indoor I went with the clear. The mesh mask is just a cheap one I got off Amazon with some heavy application of gooooo and it seems sturdy enough - I’ll give it a whirl if the Z-Mart meet up happens in July. Probably cost me £40 in total, but as I had some of the materials anyways it would be closer to £50 from scratch version 2 will be just the cost of goggles.

@Druid799 Nah M80, it’s just from the pile of old duvets that the wife got from her mum as I was asking after material for prototyping before I use the expense stuff - if you check my bandoleer images you will see the Hawaiian duvet I used to get the “kinks” out but the reverse/other side of the jack pattern is plain white and it would’ve looked full 3-K’s

You should have seen the old duvet cover I was gonna use for this test run and I won’t mention the off cuts of this one is white and you know what that would look like

So I’ve been “at it” again today and finally started mocking up my ghillie hood/upper and actually got the first one knocked up as a test fit/size. The hood’s a little tight on top so I’m gonna slap in a panel on to to give me some more head room, I think I’m gonna widen the neck area so I make my head/shoulders more of a triangle than square/circle which the eyes will notice. I think I’m gonna open the chest area so the edges don’t meet and I might bring the hem up to mid-rift but keep a tail on the back…. Comments and suggestions plz (and before anyone asks WHY you making it ?? The answer is WHY NOT ! I get a custom fit and the fact I can )

@Enid_Puceflange Yea exactly what I was gonna do - I contacted the seller and they are gonna partially refund me £6 so all good /edit actually they not only refunded £6 on the product price but they also refunded on VAT so they knocked off £7.20 in total //win

Just bought a Baofeng UV5R as it was on a deal of the day on Amazon, but the clip missing when it turned up so might send it back but it was cheap as chips so might just keep it.

Way back in the past when Titanic first came out was sat in the coffee room in work everyone’s talking about it , one of the nurses (a particularly pretty but thick as pigshit one) says her new boyfriend was taking her that night . Few minutes later one of the girls turns to me and says “I know you wouldn’t want to see it as it’s a love story but you taking your wife to see it ?” Too which I replied “God no ! Last film she’d want too see , the ship sinks and they all drown !” To which the thick pretty one jumps up and shouts at me “thanks for ruining the film by telling me what happens no point going now !” And flounces off !? as I’m sure you can imagine there was stunned silence in the room with everyone just looking at each other then I burst out laughing and everyone else rapidly followed !?
