    I have the same conversation with a lot of online redditors regarding RUSFOR kit. People jump on the Airsofters for wearing certain kit, like wearing EMR for example means you’re actively supporting what’s going on in Ukraine. Adding politics to a certain kit/camouflage is less than ideal. I used to wear a Heer kit when me and my friend ran as a 2 Man MG-42 team but we definitely don’t agree with what happened during the 40’s. Same as how I tend to wear an EMR uniform (No ribbons etc), it doesn’t automatically make me support Putin and the invasion of Ukraine 😂

    I like painted guns, I like FALs, can’t argue the most iconic paint job on a FAL is the Rhodie paint. I can’t speak for anybody else but that’s my reasoning for doing it lol

    Ended up making my own "recipe" It's not perfect, the blue needs to be a bit brighter but I'm happy with the baby shit colour at least I can't attach an image, for some reason. Guessing the forum is still being buggy but I used: Arteza craft acrylic colors premium Olive Green, Dijon, Dark Teal and Charcoal black And essentially eyeballed the colours until they matched the images shown on ARS's website.

    Most factories don't do a great quality control job, so yes tearing down a gearbox and making sure everything is greased correctly, shims are shimmed correctly, AOE is good etc is definitely going to help with optimising the gearbox without costing anything - If however, you open it up and find there's a plastic rack on the cylinder for example that should be changed out for metal teeth. Essentially, any small things that you notice are off whilst it's open are going to probably be worth changing out. Depending on who made the replica, some hop buckings are good but 99% of the time changing out to an after market option will always yield far better results. I always recommend trying to learn yourself as it's not only cheaper but it also gives you a better idea of if something isn't right with the replica (Make sure you have a back up if you decide to open it up, in case it goes wrong... Or better yet, buy a cheap boneyard rifle with the same gearbox type you want to open up (if you can, of course) and learn on the fecked one (That's how I got started, messing with boneyard AK's haha)

    As long as the parts you use all mesh well together, then the likelihood of it improving performance is favourable. However, your questions are extremely vague... What is currently "wrong" or dissatisfactory with your RIF, what do you want it to do that it currently doesn't? How much are you looking to spend? Are you taking it to a tech to do or doing it yourself? There's a lot of factors that need to be answered before you can get any sort of viable help

    Yeah, he uses Arizona Response System's paint, as does every other youtube video. I can't buy paint from America and have it shipped to the UK. Hence why I figured I'd ask here as it's a UK forum and hopefully some UK people have done it using UK paint 😂

    Yeah I've been asking around in the HRC but nothing has been useful in fixing it lol. Although looking through, lots of people have had poor consistency with them. I'm hoping once the new parts are fitted it should be at least consistent enough to use

    Mine would disagree, 150 fps loss after 10 shots with multiple brands of npas, gas tube arriving broken, hop unit not adjusting out of the box... And that's just the issued I've found before getting a chance to use the thing in a game 😂

    The 74M is genuinely THE BEST GBBR OOTB I've had, it's a thing of pure beauty and a joy to shoot every time. It doesn't miss a beat either!

    No info currently but it'll be the same system as the AV-74M no doubt. Same mags however now in a "plum" colour too. There was also some "leaks" from QRF.Mag of: An AKM mag (So hopefully AKM next?) and also a 40 round Molot mag prototype which looks... interesting. This was also teased, a GRACH Which isn't the Raptor, assuming it is VFC making it which is also very exciting for RUSFOR players as the raptor is dog shit

    I planned on doing the steel upgrades anyway just not so soon... I'll probably remove it too when I get the parts haha. Did you get the steel gas rod (?) too or just the tube?

    Picked up a VFC FAL from HPA-UK last week. Nice replica but jesus christ the issues I've already had with it... 160 FPS drops (from 350 down to 150) within 10 shots with both the Crimson NPAS AND the default VFC NPAS, on top of that the mock gas tube had decided to crack (Assuming in transport as it wasn't as tightly secured in the box) on the thread which seems to be a common issue too... Now it's currently in parts waiting for a new inner barrel to replace the crappy aluminium inner barrel (Why oh why is that even a thing any more?!) and a new hop unit as this one was fucked upon arrival and wouldn't adjust properly. Another £200 on steel parts to replace the poor quality of the chineseium they used for the barrel that attaches to the receiver and steel front sight/gas tube... Already spent just over £1000 (Replica included) and I've not even used it in a game yet... Thanks VFC 🙄

    Hit the nail on the head there, unfortunately… Majority of the games are overly convoluted in the briefing whilst in essence the actual gameplay is simple. Briefings take a long time too which loses people’s attention rapidly and then it leads to the inevitable “What are we doing?” As I mentioned in our DM, more often than not lately we’ve been going more just to see friends than actually for the Airsoft which isn’t ideal. It used to be a cracking site when the old marshal was running it (who’s name escapes me now) as it was a quick brief of what to do, gear up and out to play within 5 minutes. Now briefs take 10+ minutes (Literally… I timed it once out of boredom 😂) and another half an hour before you’re on the field, which then usually incurs another 10 minutes before game on is called 😅

    This is the same as the weird tan painted replica I had listed a while ago, however it has since been primarily sprayed back to black with the charging handle and barrel sprayed a dark grey (Like the real thing). This was done as sanding over polymer isn't ideal and the only paint stripper I have will melt through plastic. The receiver was damaged by the previous owner where they had poorly cut the hole bigger to fit a different handguard, this means the retaining pin for the handguard has to be put in with the flat side of the enlarged hole on top of the damaged side otherwise it will fall out. The handguard fitted is an SRC G36KA1 handguard, it's a tight fit so be aware of that however it provides a huge amount of room for the battery which is very nice The G36X only came in a C variant, this has had a barrel extension either glued on or threadlocked by the previous owner as it will not come off without some force.
