  1. Played the Invicta Black Site evening CQB for the first time. Very different to woodlands, fast, tactical and very close (as it should be for CQB). Used my upgraded Cyma MP5K which was perfect, 3 x mid cap mags and my battle belt, it was far to hot for a plate carrier. Plenty of very interesting looking kit taken into the game, lots of HPA, mostly very rapid and accurate pistols. Got shot more in this 4 hour session than I have in 5/6 woodlands full day events I've played, but also got more hits. Covered in bumps and bruises but had an amazing time. 5x 20/25 min games with a cool down in-between. I was unsure how the 300 round ammo limit (per game) would work out but with no full auto, the games being very short and all the walking back to re spawn I only used 100 to 200 rounds per game so pleased I chose the mid caps. It was dark when we started, around 7pm and was pitch black but the time we finished at 11pm. Great fun trying to understand watching the shadows and tactically using a gun mounted light. Lots of room clearing pyro and tracer BB's added to the experience. The safe zone is small and tight so it was really fun discussing the last round and how it played out then as soon as the game started it was full on no mercy, then back to mates agin. I've found woodlands is a bit more spread out so everyone splits off into their own groups so you don't get the same level of chat.
  2. Cheap ex demo Cyma Platinum MP5 CM0.41K, longer hand guard of the one I already have, if it works I plan to either go full Die Hard replica or upgrade it similar to my MP5K PDW and add a longer internal barrel with suppressor outer so I can have a bit more range and accuracy. Theta Optics TO551 Red Dot to go on top of it. Roll of camo wrap, 11.1v lipo and a bag of 0.28 BB's Black t shirt, black thin tacticool long sleeve top and black jumper and an extra 2 x 130rd mid caps for evening indoor CQB
  3. My first gun, the Cyma MP5K Platinum with the 5KU spitfire/tracer suppressor. Just back from being upgraded so it has a longer inner barrel which runs nearly the whole length of the suppressor. Also has a Gate Aster, brushless high speed motor and upgraded hop up. Accurate to 55/60m and 27RPS.
  4. 2,500 green tracer BB's, Nuprol NX600S torch, rail to mount it and a smaller battery so I can take the stock off the gun. I decided to have a go at a local indoor, night CQB game and wanted the right 'kit'.
  5. Similar to Daveoc33. I am new to this so started with day hire or borrowing a mates back up gun. Really wanted a MP5 because SAS, Die Hard, The Matrix....... Yes I am of that generation. I bought my own Cyma Platinum MP5K which was epic compared to what I had been using. One of the guys at my local site had the Bolster armouries patch and a MP5K which looked very similar to mine so I asked him about it. He very kindly let me have a go on the range, I think he was curious as well. The Bolster tuned variant was just better, smoother, more accurate, better sounding, snappy trigger response. Was it 2.5x as good as the platinum, difficult to say it did convince me to send mine off to be 'tuned' with a longer 'polished' inner barrel, high speed brushless motor, Gate Aster, hop up etc etc so it did make an impression. I am thankful I got to have a go as it showed me what I wanted and what could be done and how much better a well set up, shimmed and polished gun could be and stopped me going to a tech and just saying 'make it better' like the noob I am. Out of the box they are expensive but they have got some lovely internal upgrades but it is the law of demising returns at some point.
  6. Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! So far I am getting away with the cost as its exercise, similar to going to the gym, which is expensive....... Right..... The games I have played so far the youngsters (teenagers) run off and are followed by the aged (avoided using mature and experienced) then stroll back past to respawn before I reach the front line. Will post a picture of the MP5 when it arrives, gone for a longer tight bore barrel so will be keeping the suppressor on when on the field to keep the inner barrel protected.
  7. Hi Forum Quick intro, started playing last year, borrowing kit from a good mate who got me into the game. Mostly been playing outdoor, forest mil sim at Invicta battlefields woodlands Kent and had real fun, starting to learn how the game is played. Been buying my own kit over the winter and now have a reasonable amount of British army green forest camo along with eye and face protection etc etc. Decided to go all in and just bought my first gun (Cyma Platinum MP5 CM0.41L) and the associated trimmings after my first CQB indoor event, which really got the blood pumping, the gun is going in for a bit of tuning before it comes to me with a longer barrel and an upgraded mosfet along with a couple of other upgrades to personalise and remove some of the reported weaknesses. Next I need to choose an optic but wanted to play a few games before deciding what to get.
