  1. Holy necro post Batman! So anyway - yes if you are trying to create a high speed setup for a high rate of fire then the piston/piston head ideally would be lightweight items (swiss cheesed piston, remove the bearings from the back of the piston head etc). But talking of confusion I'm struggling to see where you're getting the idea that he was fitting heavier parts?
  2. I'd say go for it. If the existing hop is crap then the madbull one can't be any worse (and should be better - my point was that it isn't the best aftermarket hop you could get). Just be aware that in the same way as tracer mags do it only illuminates one side of the BB so it won't be AS bright as your B&T tracer. Ultimately as long as the hop unit actually functions properly you should do OK if you fit a decent rubber (I'm currently favouring Prometheus purples in my guns) and take the time to set it up properly.
  3. If you have the tracking number you should be able to check it online.

True. Price is still pretty high though....
  5. If you're looking at the G&G HBA-L it is REALLY heavy which may be a con for you. If you want to maintain the full auto aspect you'll need to abide by AEG/assault rifle FPS limits which could limit its usefulness as a DMR/sniper role platform. On the other hand...if you can afford it - have both!

On the Alpha tec model the rounds are loaded into a disc that is sized for 9mm blanks on one side and shotgun primers in the other. That way if you want to change from one size to another you don't need a new part or (as in the case of the EDD) a whole different grenade.
  7. Fair enough. I have heard though that it's not great either as a hop unit OR a tracer. Not actually used one though so I can't really confirm.
  8. Wind your neck in! I was asking if it was necessary to imply that anyone that couldn't understand the maths was stupid. Hardly trolling. In fact there is no trolling on this thread at all, granted there's a fairly hefty derail but that's not the same thing at all.
  9. Is that really necessary?
  10. I like mine. Just the mags are a pain in the arse.

Multibangs aren't uncommon though. In real use as well as paper pyro.
  12. If it's the original switch it WILL fail. They are crap. The maplin switch is about three quid, the gearbox is pretty easy to get out (there's disassembly videos on Youtube) and then the switch just unbolts - you don't even need to open the gearbox! The one thing you will need to do is cut down the arm on the new switch because it's way too long!
  13. Yep, no worries. I used to have one of those very batteries in my M4!
  14. Yeah....sorry about that

Yeah, I still like the double sided aspect of the other one.
  16. That one right there is what I run mine on. But then I don't use mine all day.... If you keep the current plastic handguard then you can fit a pretty hefty battery in but just be aware that if you fit the railed MK46 style handguards the space in the lower half dwindles pretty rapidly!
  17. What are you looking at going into as a career then? To be fair if you already have an internship offer I can see why you're torn!
  18. Oh yeah.....duuurrrrrrrr. Sorry having a bit of a "slow" day today Can you not do uni here then?
  19. So how do you like it here? Are you near Maidenhead then? I'm assuming as that's where Abbots are....

Seems the Incentive Designs EDD WILL be going ahead (after a bit of a redesign) https://www.facebook.com/airsoftint/posts/10152721169397469
  21. fair play then! Where in the US are you from then? How come Singapore, forces parents? Just being nosey like....
  22. "maths", "secondary school". Where did you grow up, America?
  23. Best. Line. Ever. As others have said, try 0.25g. All plastic BB pellets will get blown off course, it goes with the territory but unless you have a spectacularly bad gun you should be able to use 0.25s just fine which will be better. As for guns - anyhting with a V2 or V3 gearbox will be supported for spares and internal upgrades. Just because a gun doesn't look like an M4 doesn't mean it won't have the same internals. Granted some guns have specific parts (AUGs for example have a different cylinder head) but don't let that put you off. Buy something YOU like.
  24. I was more bothered by "brought".
  25. You could get some Incentive Designs tracer mags. I have a couple and they're pretty good. Bright enough to see where you're firing but not as bright as a silencer type. Not always a bad thing.
