  1. When I was doing my due diligence before buying mine, it seems this was a known weak point.
  2. East Crane/E&C make some decent kit. They were the original OEM for Specna Arms and are still OEM for a number of manufacturers, as well as their own stuff. As far as DMR mods go, the reason why most people suggest an SR25 or similar is that they have a V2.5/"V2 long" gearbox - ie one with a longer piston stroke, which means they can cope with the volume requirements of a longer barrel. With more modern hop designs the reliance on long barrels for accuracy has diminished somewhat so the two E&C guns you've listed start to come into their own, despite only having a standard V2 gearbox. I personally have a MK12 which runs around 420fps with an E&C gearbox perfectly fine. This is the usual resource for advice on building an AEG DMR https://www.airsoftsniperforum.com/threads/the-holy-grail-of-building-your-dmr-aeg.892/ so go have a read.
  3. How was it? I couldn't get a trade ticket without having to pay for the exorbitant meeting booking service thing.
  4. Story of my life.
  5. Blue? If you mean the old R134 type duster gas, I'd suggest you ignore that advice. In the good old days, there were an enormous amount of people who swore blind that anything more powerful would blow the slide clean off ANY TM pistol after less than half a mag. They've been proven wrong multiple times but more to the point, it's a HiCapa. If it breaks there's a myriad of manufacturers making replacement parts for it. Slap some green gas in and go nuts.
  6. The GR16 bit doesn't really narrow it down. Can you post a pic of it? In the meantime: buffer tube: https://www.firesupport.uk/ec-m4-6-position-aeg-stock-tube.html crane stock https://www.firesupport.uk/ec-m4-crane-stock-black.html RIS handguard: https://highpressureairsoft.co.uk/collections/ar-15-rails/products/170mm-aluminum-kac-type-m4a1-m4cqb-ras-handguard-rail-system-for-m4-aeg assuming you just want a drop in one of course.
  7. (fellow Corsair desk mat enjoyer spotted) It sounds OK, but as above, the phone audio doesn't really do many favours. Also - WTF is going on with your selector?
  8. I wonder why they modelled it on one with a barrel strut? Maybe they know it'll be shit out of the box!
  9. That's my retirement plan!
  10. I agree with this....and I don't. In these enlightened times, prospective employers WILL scour your social media footprint to see if you align with their perception of what a good candidate is (and to make sure nothing is going to bite them in the arse later down the line). Blurring out your face in photos can be an attempt to stop playing a game that quite a lot of people might think is a bit... odd, interfering with your job prospects. If they're doing it to try and be "more ally", then yeah, cringe as fuck.
  11. Personally, I'd skip the Warfet and go straight to an Aster. That said, I believe you can do what you are suggesting. The Aster choice is more based on the modern mosfets being better able to handle brushless motors than the older ones like the Warfet.
  12. How freely a motor spins is directly related to the strength of the magnets used to make it. If it spins freely then the magnets are weak and the motor will be shit. Ergo the Solink feeling clunky as it turns is, in fact, a sign of a better motor. Having changed the motors in a couple of Specna guns I can attest that they are, in fact, weak as shit. Also, the X-ASR MOSFET is rubbish. I also very much doubt the X-ASR can deal with a brushless motor. Fuck it off and put a decent unit in instead.

  14. Blimey, JT Flex! There's a blast from the paintball past! Still got mine from like 25 years ago!
  15. I usually run a chest rig, but you could try one of the placard-style rigs that take different inserts for different mags. Do you have a pic of the plate carrier?
  16. As a fellow M14 enthusiast, there are many ways to skin that particular cat: cheek risers, low profile sight mounts etc.
  17. Are they like buckings, only smaller?
  18. Get one of these: https://www.tactical-kit.co.uk/blue-force-gear-a2-buttstock-adapter-a2b-26382-p.asp
  19. Soooo....a beltfed MC51?
  20. Pretty sure it's not February any more either.
  21. It's a pretty standard NATO cable, but you'll have to rewire it anyway. It's permanently attached to the earcup. I'd recommend JCI as well, but I'm guessing they're one of the people you've already spoken to. Of course, your definition of "silly money" may vary from mine.
