  1. Just make sure it is not damaged before you charge it. Last week I took one of my old lipos, an 1800mah 7.4 Turnigy one, and smashed it to pieces with a metal bar. I am that scientific. It did smoke a bit after the first hit, and it smelled really bad but that was it. A friend of mine almost burned his house down charging a damaged one though. I keep mines in an empty tin can.
  2. It was a Well MB-06, but yes, I made the custom parts. It's well documented here: http://www.airsoftsniperforum.com/30-project-guns/14184-other-mb06-cpr-project.html
  3. There are 2 types of bio BBs that I know of. One sucks up moisture and grows softer and bigger after opening the bag. These are the older types. The other is biodegraded by the germs in the soil. So you can keep them on the self even after opening the bag for long times. I have some opened bags that are over a year old and they are still the best performing BBs I have. They start to degrade in a jungle environment after a few months or in dry/cold soil after some years if I remember correctly.
  4. I was the last one in a building and I stepped outside as the opposing team overrun it. My team has already taken positions in the next building but they didn't know I held mine that long so I couldn't go that way. I would have been 100% lit up by them. So I just stepped behind the door. The enemy players passed me without looking, focusing on the next building - out of range. I pulled my pistol, aimed... nothing. I forgot to put the mag in after the safe zone. So I just double tapped them with the pdw, one by one, and they just kept coming. Luckily a marshal appeared and told everyone to take the hit because people tend not to do that if it comes from behind where they don't suspect an enemy. I kept shooting them for minutes, some even bled out until someone decided to check behind the door. I got about 20 of them by then. I got a fist-bump from the marshal after that. There is the door on the right and there are at least 5 people on the right not on the picture. Some even tried to medic others.
  5. My current bolt action rifles. First is 490fps, the small one is 340.
  6. The A&K neodym motor has insanely strong magnets, so it's easy to tell. However I don't like them due to the very poor rpm.
  7. Yep, the first batch. Unfortunately it's a big batch, because the Chinese factory sent testers to retailers everywhere in the world and those were unbelievably great, so everyone ordered a lot of it. Then they sent those crappy ones. My sources are a webshop that mainly sells BBs and an other airsoft shop owner. BB king, Nuprol, Rockets and a couple of small brands are the rebrands of these.
  8. I sometimes answer "Any plans for the weekend?" with "Yes, I'm going to shoot people." Then after that awkward moment I add "... only the ones trying to shoot me." And then I add "it's something like paintball."
  9. No need for a macho name because airsoft is not a macho thing. We like it and we think it's a cool thing but the rest of the world sees it as cool as driving model trains or tabletop rpg. Calling it mega death strike 3000 won't change the fact that it is playing soldiers.
  10. I had one with the rail mounting but the top of it looked the same. Only the bottom third of the glass was usable. If the red dot was above it, it became a big, blurry spot that didn't even stay on target. I hope they fixed it since then.
  11. If that's an Element red dot, you will regret that decision.
  12. Thanks. Any link to the actual grenade? Or the name? I read the blogpost and it seems to be a good alternative. How sturdy is it? I'm not a grenade man but it would be useful once in a while. If it survives about 100 uses, then I would get one.
  13. £100? I was looking at this one too. I have not heard anything bad about it, but I find hard to believe the 300fps from an AEP. However it is said to be 300 everywhere and the polish shops chrono the guns themselves. It's on my list.
  14. Edgi trigger units are 55 degree ones. They say it's just as good as a 90 degree one but on the sniper forum people generally disagree with that. Their (or his?) barrel is the best. People usually go with Action Army hopup unit, a proper barrel (like EDGI) and a 90 degree trigger + piston: PDI or Action Army, but there are quite a few out there.
  15. Too bad it's not the FPS that counts.
  16. Think of it this way. You run a field with 2 days milsim events, with serious players, ongoing ops, etc. Then a guy - probably very young - emails you if he can join you with his nerf gun. He says he is very serious about it, even painted it green. Try airgun ranges or clubs IMO.
  17. Nope. But please do a short review after. Thanks.
  18. I joinded a squad on a milsim game. We saw two enemy squads and they saw us too. They took cover in bushes and ditches. Then the sqad leader ordered us to do a frontal attack. This was our "cover". I couldn't believe it so I took a photo while staying behind. Another disappointment is skirmishing in the UK. It's just paintballing with airsoft guns.
  19. Blue streak is my closest site and I saw the press-ups a few times. It is never meant and taken in a bad way or humiliation.
  20. Here is all there is to know about airsoft sniping: http://www.airsoftsniperforum.com/
  21. As long as we make him buy a G&G combat machine.
  22. I haven't been on a two day game that would actually be two full game days. The first day is okay, the night is so-so, but the next day is absolutely crap. People are tired and many of them have just gone home.
  23. Sniper thing and depends on the BB too. I washed my Madbull 0.40s but didn't make a noticeable difference.
  24. "His" sniper upgrade kit is from EDGI but more expensive too than ordering directly.
